You can find the pilot online pretty easily now, you should see for yourself.

Be warned... it's a trainwreck of EPIC proportions.

Still I advise everyone to see it, just for the sheer scale of fail involved.

Say "JLA" out loud.

Now say "JL" out loud.

That's pretty much it.

"JLU" sounds good too but "JLA" just rings better no?

Plastic Man.

Both in the comics and out.

This, for sure.

Read the JLA story where they get split from their alter egos and you will gain a serious respect for O'Brian.

Best scene is where he beats the snot out of Bruce Wayne. ;)

I'm glad somebody did this.

Not the best shot of her for the job imho, but I couldn't do this kind of manip so who am I to judge.

I just watched Haywire and I have to say, hearing the whispers of her in connection with maybe, kinda, possibly a WW role, I approve.

Check out her shoot for GQ (specifically punching the bag and doing this crazy kickboxing knee strike thing).

Imagine that knee slamming into Cheetah or somebody... I want a WW that looks like a warrior, not a fashion model.

I could believe her in the role.

She has the physical ability, the body (actual muscle!) and the looks (think about DC's quite decent animated WW movie a while ago).

Her acting is a million times more palatable than that girl in the ill fated pilot last year (can't even remember her name lol).

It's time to put away nostalgia for the Carter years, time to ignore hormonally inspired fancasts of ridiculous candidates like Megan Fox (my god, remember when that was floating around as a serious consideration?) and cast a real woman who could actually pass as an AMAZON and who can throw a fricking punch without looking pathetic.

I challenge any naysayers to put forward a more suitable candidate for the role.

When I was reading the Road Home I remember thinking that the suit was so powerful, why wouldn't he just use it all the time but then I figured he already has a cave full of armour and varient suits right?

Most of which are technically superior to the regular suit, but he doesn't use them unless he needs one for a specific task.

The insider suit is the same, he just shelves it because Bruce, despite his own claims to the contrary, likes to take the hard road.

He likes to do it the hard way because that makes him stronger.

He's also very aware of the mythic aspects of his appearance and also the respect metas give him because he doesn't use over the top tech even though he could.

Just a man, in a costume with a tool belt... and even Superman balks at the thought of fighting him.

Knowing him, he'd feel the suit would make him soft, lazy, dependent.

I bet at some point some artist will show us the Insider suit in a glass case in the cave as a little easter egg.

Under the Hood: Ricochets a batarang off a "pipe thingy" (to quote Joker) and nails Jason in the back of the head.

Double throws a pair at Jason earlier in the story forcing him to choose which wound he is going to take (knowing that Jason is capable of dodging a single 'rang).

Inserts an explosive batarang into Amazo's leg without the android detecting it. ("You'll have to do better than that!" "I did..." BOOM!)

Superman/Batman - 'Mashup': Cracks Aquaborg's helmet with a perfectly thrown batarang (Aquaborg states nobody has ever managed to crack his helmet before).

Knightfall: Saves Jeremiah Arkham's life with an insane throw through prison bars, disarming a rather nasty shotgun trap set up by Joker, timing the throw, discharge of the gun and Dr. Arkham falling to his knees with perfect precision.

Those are all I can think of without reading through a thousand back issues lol.

This is pretty much the whole point of the New 52 my friend, clean slate for the most part, no better time to get back in.

You know who Batman is, how he came to be and what he does.

He's Batman, parents got deaded, he kicks badguy behind.

Anything crops up that you can't just nod and say "okay that happened while I was away" & you rly rly need to know the details... you have the mighty interweb at your disposal.

Hello.

I've kinda been wandering the wastelands of comicbook sites looking for somewhere "just right" for a while.

Then I realised I was always coming here for info (and tbh, to lurk the Batman forum, heh) so I says to myself, I says "hey dummy! Why don't you sign up? Then you can pontificate about Bats (and the rest of the DC universe) like the expert you think you are".

Well, never one to ignore the voices in my head I filled in the form...

So here I am, front and slightly left of center.

Have a good one. ;)
