Olivier has the innate mutant ability to make himself unnoticed and/or ignored by his surroundings and entities and be unregarded by threats or dangers. Far superior to simple invisibility, his power allows him to freely act without being noticed, while still able to interact with his surroundings.
On will he is capable to evade any form of perception and search means. Beings with supernaturally enhanced senses fail to sense his presense even when he is standing right behind them. Technology, common or incredibly futuristic, fails to record his existence, instead filming his blurry silhouette or nothing at all. His power messes up advanced sensors and targeting telemetry of foes. Even metahuman searching means such as telepathy or magical sensing cannot track him, as if his brainwaves and other esoteric tracks did not exist. This power seems to be completely out of his control, leaving allies and enemies alike unaware of his existence. However, he seems to have some conscious control over the range of this ability. Allowing him to extend it to additional people.
He also seems to boast the ability to delete any evidence of his existence by saying the word "Myosotis" or "Forget-Me-Not". In sentient beings this causes immediate amnesia, essentially surpressing their memories of him. The power comes with a failsafe in the form of his reappearance, once that happens the target's memories are unlocked again. Data on the otherhand, unless backed-up beforehand, gets erased completely. Olivier needs to be in immediate vicinity for this sub power to take effect.
❖ The Parkour Connoisseur ❖
True to his epithet, Olivier possesses highly honed locomotive skills rivaling and even surpassing the world's elite parkourists and free-runners. He started doing parkour when he was in his early teens and has not stopped practicing it ever since. Over the years not only have his skills sharpened, but he added complex acrobatics and free-running concepts to his repertoire. He is able to execute mind-blowingly complex moves perfectly and repeatedly, his performance stands equal only to world's top gymnasts and acrobats. Due to this intricate mind-body connetivity, Oli has virtually flawless eye-hand coordination and an immensely sharpened kinsthetic sense.
Due to spending the majority of his time on the run, Olivier devoted himself to intense physical training as a means of self-defense and adaptation to his new lifestyle. The training takes form of rigorous calisthenics, using bodyweight and the enviroment to build a body of olympian quality. Truly, his body possesses little to not fat at all, instead being primarily composed of lean musculature that endows him with heightened strength and durability.
Furthermore, this lifestyle endowed him with vast reserves of energy. Due to experience and adjustment, his musculature removes performance impairing toxins faster than that of an ordinary human, in turn allowing him to physically extert himself for much longer than usually possible. This coupled with his virtually inexhaustable mental reserves gift Olivier with inhuman levels of endurance.
Escrima & Silat - Before becoming a Strigidae, Olivier practised the self-defense branch of Escrima. Mastering the use of the polynesian martial art relatively quickly. Formerly, his repertoire composed primarily of an empty-hand system featuring joint-locks and kicks, but with the intrusion into the Strigidae scene he began to incorporate punches and began to regulate his breathing more efficiently. Due to the mastery of Escrima stick fighting, Olivier is ambidexterious and does not have a dominant hand. A unique trait to him is the ability to use a baseball bat instead of a stick.
Aside from the mastery of Escrima, Olivier possesses considerable experience and skill Silat, being taught by a traveling Indian hermit in the art. The art emulates the raw power and speed of a tiger with it's fast-paced CQC system and incorporates masterful joint-locks, complex disarming techniques and deadly Karambit mastery. Apropos, while not a master of the art Oli's main strength comes in the form of Silat knife-fighting techniques in which he dominates.
◆ Custom Mineral Karambit ◆
"Inherited from the same hermit that taught Olivier the martial art of Silat, this unorthodox karambit signifies his status as a it's practicioner. Moreover, it can be used as a handy scaling tool when there are no grappling points aviable.
The blade and handle itself is not fashioned from metal as it's common counterparts, instead it is made from an ancient ceramic-mineral compound that proves highly durable, even more so than ballistic steel, and enduring. Capable of easily piercing brick and stone without wearing down. The strap is made out of what appears to be incredibly dense spider-silk threads. It's unique composition makes it virtually untracable.
The curve of the blade allows it to function as a thrusting, slashing and even a gutting weapon. However, the safety ring allows the immediate reversal of the wielders grip while at the same time protecting it and enhancing blunt damage."
₪ The Lock-pick of Arsène Lupin ₪
"Also known as the 'Imp Key', this very appealing and compact key-holder is not actually a lock-pick. Atleast not purposely. Named after the famous French gentleman thief, this handy gadget is personally enchanted by French royal mages to serve a much similar purpose to a lock-pick or a skeleton key.
The key-holder actually doesn't contain any keys at all, but weights as if it did. Instead, when opened with the intention of unlocking a chest, door or even a car then the needed key will appear inside the holder. However, once it is taken out, used and returned it will once again disappear into the aether until needed again. The key-holder can unlock virtually any mundane lock."
