Adapt a Book: Star Wars Darth Plagueis

This Month features a novel from the Star Wars Expanded Universe, that is a lot closer to the begining of the movies themselves than anyone thinks. A mixure of horror, adventure, and a thriller, this is the tale of Darth Plagueis the Wise...

The Most Powerful Sith Lord that Ever Lived, but could he be the one that never died?
The Most Powerful Sith Lord that Ever Lived, but could he be the one that never died?

Anyone who watched Episode III is well aware about the history about this Sith Lord, for it was told by none other than his apprentice.

But what many fans don't know is the backstory behind it...

Premise

Darth Plagueis was one of the most brilliant Sith Lords who ever lived. He was one of the few Sith in history who had a desire for only one

thing, the power over light and death. Though he possessed great power, his greatest fear was losing it. So he passed down all his knowledge to his

apprentice, a young senator gifted in the ways of the Force, but tainted with a dark heart. Though many know him as Palpatine, he is secretly known as Darth

Sidious. Together, master and apprentice hope to achieve the ultimate goal of galactic domination no matter how high the stakes. But as the years go by, and the seeds of the Old Republic’s destruction are already being sown, Palpatine would eventually realize that in order to achieve his goals he must do so alone…

Opinion

This is a fascinating tale about the origins of one of Star Wars greatest villains. The novel really gives fans an in-depth experience to the origins of Palpatine; from his mastery to becoming a Sith Lord, to his public rise to power in the galactic government: First as Senator, then as Chancellor, and eventually as Emperor.

How it should be adapted: Comic Miniseries

This would make an excellent miniseries because it gives the fans an amazing opportunity to see a visual representation of a villain’s story. James Luceno(of course)would be writing the series while the artwork could be done by either Rags Morales and Scot Eaton or Doug Mahnke and David Finch or maybe a combination of both.
