Didn't Hawkman throw down with Black Adam in Geoff Johns' JSA before the '52? I thought he was fairly powerful..

@thebourneposter: Now we're talking. Especially if Crane could see castle first and have the element of surprise, Scarecrow wins 6/10

Marvel's premier superhero teams, at the very beginning of their careers. Remember their golden age counterparts were vastly less experienced and their powers had not fully developed, ie; Johnny couldn't go super nova, bobby couldn't reform himself and both couldn't hold their form for little over an hour. An hour prep time, morals on in an underpopulated 1960's New York City. Reed could invent something to use, whatever his ancient feats show he could within the limit of the hour, however the X-Men may receive assistance from Professor X. The teams are:

X-Men:

Cyclops

Iceman

Jean Grey

Beast

Angel

Fantastic Four:

Mr. Fantastic

The Thing

Invisible Woman

Human Torch

This is a 5 v. 4 fight, but it's still pretty fair as I don't remember the classic Angel being able to do much combat wise. (Lacked his healing factor). What do you guys think?

Anyone who legitimately thinks Wolverine could penetrate Aquaman's skin, much less get close enough to even touch him with TP is either a retard or an overly-biased Marvel fan boy. Why do people always forget that Arthur has near Superman level power?

Actually- I'll admit adamantium could maybe cut Arthur's skin, but that groovy orange armor- not gonna happen.

1. Superman

2. The Flash

3. Aquaman (submerged in water)

*Excluding MM as it's the N52 team

I can't think of a single writer working currently who gets away with the ludicrous amount of exposition that Lobdell does. If you don't understand what's going on, don't worry! Clark's inner monologue will explain every minute detail! In every panel! On every page! Forever!

Hahahahaha so true

Here's the thing no one seems to think about- character similarities. While my top choices are Swamp Thing and Captain Cold, the chances are slim to none that they'll be selected. Captain Cold (especially new 52) would be way too similar to Killer Frost, and Martian Manhunter will fill the spot for green shape-changing monster.
