It's from X-Men Unlimited #39, Storm and Magneto arguing. :)

I know! It's like they weren't event trying. Do sideburns work on anyone?

Good point! Most artists don't seem to understand what, exactly, Chamber has to cover up, lol.

It's funny that you say that, because Chris Bachalo, who co-created Chamber's original look (yes, so many belts!) has also drawn Ghost Rider. :) I suggest you Google Bachalo Ghost Rider and check it out. :D

It's completely coincidental. I remember thinking that there was a chance Phil Urich would become a goblin villain before, but that he was Menace. And throughout my adolescence, I've had the same exact ideas that I then see mere months later on my favorite TV shows. It's 'cos there are only so many good ideas left, I guess, lol.

you make those of us that like storm sound crazy! and we aren't! Fans and Fanatics aren't the same!

That's what I was thinking, lol.

Storm is my #2 favorite Marvel character ever (with Penance/Hollow being my #1) and this sounds creepily foreboding to me, lol.

What could it refer to?

Perhaps Brian Wood's excellent treatment of the character over in X-Men recently?

Or... I know there's going to be an extended cut of the Storm-Black Panther fight in August 2012 in AvX #5, but I'm not expecting a different outcome (where she was holding back because she was fighting her husband and lost... not saying she would've necessarily won if she HADN'T been holding back out of spousal loyalty, but it certainly didn't help her case.) Obviously, I've got more to say about it, but I'll let it lie since there's already a topic with fans fighting about that, lol.

So let's see...

Maybe it refers to the fact that some of us think Storm is the only one who's going to be able to stand up to the Phoenix Five now. That'll be interesting to see, if it happens.

Or, lastly, perhaps it refers to the speculation that Storm will play a bigger role in the post-AvX X-Men books, perhaps as a leader of more than just a small security team.

Of course Black Panther beat Storm up. He's a master of martial arts, there were plenty of ways to subdue her rather than just beating her into unconsciousness.

Storm should petition for his royal sperm, go the artificial insemination route, and raise those "astonishing children" on her own. Problem solved!

Side Note: Storm was purposefully missing with the lightning. She was holding back because she didn't want to hurt her husband (and let's get real here, she could've just sucked the air out of his lungs if she didn't care). (I think it was in an issue of Uncanny X-Men.) Meanwhile, he beat her. Hmmmm! Leave him, Storm!

Knocking her unconscious was the only way to subdue her. What was he supposed to do tie her up? Storm can use her powers just by thinking so as long as she was still conscious she would have been able to fight. We don't know that Storm was missing with her lightning was on purpose it's not impossible to dodge tons of characters have done it and for all we know BP was pulling his punches. Also there are many ways to knock people unconscious you don't have to keep beating on them, after the battle she wasn't a bloody mess, she barely had a noticable mark on her.

I was thinking along the lines of choke-holds, pressure points, etc., subduing techniques that are meant to effectively take someone down with the minimum amount of damage inflicted.

But you're right, we don't know that she was missing with the lightning on purpose, it just makes more sense that it was part of her whole "repeatedly hesitating" thing because, come on, you can't DODGE lightning... it moves way too fast for that. But yeah, I guess in the MU you can. -_-

@Tchokes: Emma has suffered a lot at the hands of the Sentinels and lost many students to them. We were talking about it on another site and apparently her original Hellions students were killed by them in addition to the Genoshan massacre she was traumatized by? Maybe she's going door-to-door because she wants the satisfaction of destroying the things herself, in person. When Emma kills, it's up close and personal, like when she shot her sister.
