Come on Electro is such a one note, two dimensional character that you can cast any actor in the role, give him any back story and it would work. Why are we getting in such a frenzy because he's black. Honestly i hope they go with Electro as the villain because having a villain in a Spidey film that doesn't have a split personalty or sob story and wants to be bad for the sake of being bad is actually kinda refreshing.
It's either Peter Parker or...Miguel O'Hara. The reason i say this is because both Scarlet Spider and Venom will be continuing as normal so it cant be Kaine or Flash. The build is to big to be Alpha and that would make MJ a pedo wouldn't it and it cant be a 616 Miles because he's white. I strongly believe it's Peter only now it's full time Spidey and darker but if it's not then the talons scream Miguel as well as at a recent panel they said they would probaly make more Spidey 2099 which could double mean the superior Spidey is Miguel as well as saying the new Spidey has a "serious Spider-Man pedigree". I don't know if that last one means anything but whatever.
This has been bugging me but WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO ELECTRO? Last i saw of him was in EoTE and he was shot up in space by Thor. Will he be back? Is he dead? What happened? Can someone answer what happened to lightning butt?
@ratman19 I felt that the way he looked didn't matter to me. He still acted like a nerd being more shy and resined and being brilliantly smart person for someone his age. Even with the skateboard they made good use of that, with him writing scientific equations on his board showing that this is a kid who loves science like Peter Parker. Personally I preferred Garfield. He was better as Peter Parker for all the points I said above and he was better as Spidey for being more witty and badass. I did like Tobey as Spidey but i think the writing let him down a little. The writing for Garfield's Spidey complimented him more as he seemed like a mix of regular Peter/Spidey and Ultimate Peter/Spidey and something a little new which I liked and appreciated more.
@KainScion Oh god. I mean don't get me wrong, I really liked the Amazing Spider-Man movie and found the Rami trilogy enjoyable but what is it with marvel trying to make the comics like the movies. What they should be doing is making the movies like the comics. Just because "The Avengers" was a big hit doesn't mean regular movie goers are going to dive right into the comics because the liked the movie.
This has always bugged me. There have been so many people to take up the guise of Spider-Man other than Peter Parker but there are all from other realities. Like Miguel O'Hara, Spider-Man of the year 2099 (Earth 928) or Max Borne, Spider-Man of the year 2211 (Earth 9500). Even Miles Morales as the new Spidey from the Ultimate universe (Earth 1610). You could even argue Mayday Parker is carring the legacy of her father as Spider-Girl and who know's, maybe even Benjy Parker will become Spider-Man one day (Earth 982). So does all of this count Spidey as a legacy hero of not because they are from different realities?
