Ah, a fellow resident of New York. Sadly, I live in Queens so I don't have an accent like he does. He does look vaguely familiar. As long as he can write well and has a grasp of Deadpool, that's totally fine with me. I think I might have read some of his Civil War stuff, but the rest I've never read so I can't say I am a fan of his. At least not yet. From the interview he seemed like a great guy, so if he is a great writer, even better.
I never understood why Deadpool hears voices now. I think it just clutters the page and takes away from the art. Especially on Way's book, where I LOVE the art, the voices sometimes ruin it for me.
I was looking EVERYWHERE for that Domino and Wolverine vent scene. Way writes Deadpool as being more "crazy" than he should be, but he is much more mild than Moon Knight.
Heh, you do speak the truth about Way. While I do agree with you that the old Deadpool had much more intelligent humor, the "new" Deadpool is more of simple and random moments, which attracts a more immature fan base. What I'm trying to say is that the humor Deadpool and friends uses is more akeen to the humor that the current Deadpool comics utilize. So in that sense, I don't see why they can't try their hand at a dying book. It is already terrible, so what does it matter if two amatuer writers try their hand at what they believe would be a good Deadpool story.
You may not like the comedy Deadpool and friends use, being all pop culture reference as you said, but if they feel that they can do the current Deadpool justice, and maybe make a book worth selling, why not give them a chance? I'm pretty sure they can do more with an overused character than the random writers on Team-up could. I mean seriously, I tried one issue and almost stopped halfway through due to the sheer lack of quality in the writing. The story made no real sense and it wasn't really going anywhere. As long as they can keep my attention to make me want to finish the issue, they are leagues better than the writers Team-up already employs.
" @Son Of Storm: see dats ypu probably iw wont even have a chance too move cuz jean ill just rewad her mind and she wiil know what bshe is about to do so she wont even hve a chance to make her move jean wuld use ur tk to throw her and choke the air out her body crusty retard "
...This is why I hate seeing an obviously overpowered character versus a decently powerful one. The fanboys cannot type a proper sentence and "god-mod" the fight so the opponent has no way to fight back.
I'm going with Sue on this. And I assume we are talking Marvel Girl and not Phoenix.
I'm going to have to go with Marvel on this one. Only because you gave Marvel three of their most powerful characters, and gimped DC by giving them Guy Gardner. I love Guy, but he can't hold a candle to Thor, Surfer, and especially not Void. I assume that it is Void starting out, and not Sentry turning into Void. In that case, Sentry will probably go running off, making it a three vs two match until he voids out. Even then, Guy is going down fast, Superman is going to try and save Guy, but will get hit by Surfer and Thor combined. So that leaves Black Adam. Unless he can take down a herald and a Norse god before Void gets back, Marvel won this.
Seriously, you seem biased for Marvel so this wasn't a fair match to begin with.
They might just make them change their names to something less...immature, but I think they'll eventually let them in =P
As someone else said, it depended on my power, but if it was something weird like regeneration and ice powers(which would in fact be awesome) I'd just stick with my last name, Zervas.
