Am I the only person who doesn’t really care one way or another?

Ok, that’s not entirely true. I don't care what Gail Simone say's I hate the idea of a walking Bab's and will simply vote with my wallet and not pick any books featuring the "new" Bat Girl.

But beyond that, I read the preview pages of the Justice League book and felt like I was reading a Flash Point/AOA style cross over or an Elseworlds/All-Star type scenario.

I immediately thought to myself, Ill skip this and come back when they put the universe back.

I know this is "the way things are" but....well I just have an overwhelming sense of apathy towards the whole thing. Like DC has cried "Crisis" one too many times for me to be excited or for that matter believe in it.

Don’t get me wrong, I have problems with it: Scott Lobdell writing multiple books, The Return of "Superstar artists", Redesigns and new number 1's - does anyone else thinks we have fallen through time and back to the 90's?

Your plan to return the books to "When we sold millions of copies", well look how well that worked for your movie division "The original Spiderman  was a huge success and made loads of money 10 years ago, so let’s make our £300 million dollar Green Lantern Pictures just like that one. Oh we know Audiences have changed and become more sophisticated. We know Chris Nolan created a template for making critically and commercially successful films which our competitor took and spun into a hugely successful Avengers universe of movies......but didn’t that old Spiderman movie make (Giving inflation etc.) far more money."

Also, the Superman reboot.....does anyone know what happens when Grant Morrison gets bored writing the character? I don't know if Dan Didio read many X-Men books after Grant Left.....but...well yeah.....

These issues only niggle me though, they don’t upset me because I like everyone on here knows deep down in their hearts....once the initial sales spike has passed.....we will be looking at another "Earth Shattering Crisis" which will allow for new "Hyper Continuity" to spew forth......and well I guess I just don’t care anymore.

Does anyone else find themselves in this sad place? Neither happy nor angry...just weary of the whole thing?

Hello All Again,

WAAAAYYY Back in 2004 I really couldnt stand the Avengers, I was more a JLA guy, but I was reading Powers at the time and I saw that Bendis was not only taking over Avengers but he was....emm...I believe the correct term is "Disassembling" then...so I thought, I will give this a shot.

While reading it (Issues 500-504) I thought, if someone did this my beloved Justice League I would have a proper fanboy strop and stop picking up books that company published until this travesty had been retconned. However as they where only killing the poor man's Green Arrow and that silly looking Robot, I actually quite enjoyed it. It was not the best thing I had ever read but it was enough to make me want to read New Avengers.

I own every single issue from "Break Out" to "Finale" and all of the cross over/mini-series titles (House of M, Siege, Secret Invasion etc.) as well as the Mighty Avengers/Dark Avengers issues and I LOVED IT each and every month!! I then stared to go back and read classic Avengers again, gaining an understanding and appreciation of the stories and characters. I could see why die hard fans didn't like New Avengers as it was quite a bit different from the "Classic" series but....

Which brings me to my point, when the Heroic age began I realized that Bendis was putting out two Avengers books, one simply titled Avengers and another New Avengers title. I have just read the first trade for each series and a the Might Marvel Must Haves which present the first three issues of the second arcs. Now , and this may just be me, I thought that the "Avengers" title would be more classic in style and  the New Avengers book would...well continue in the style of the previous title.

So when the "Avengers" seemed to be missing "something" I thought maybe Bendis cant write those kinds of classic stories or I am not but the right audience for this particular book. But we still have New Avengers to look forward to.....but that was missing "something" as well and their was nothing  I could blame it on.

So I guess I am asking, What do you all make of them? Do you all think they have the same....intangible flaws that I do?

And this is apropos of nothing but, Is Bendis gay for Parker Robins?   And why does he just not write a Luke Cage ongoing instead of New Avengers, as the only issue that I rated was the "Date Night" one.

Apologies to moderators etc if this is in the wrong place.

Hello All,

Firstly apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place but it was my best guess.

I am currently trying to track down all of Wolfman and Perez's new teen titans issues from the early to mid 80's. Now, I know it includes 1-40 of "The New Teen Titans"  (Not all drawn by Perez but.....) and the first five issues of the next series AKA "The Terror of Trigon" but my question is which annuals does the run include? And have I missed out any issues?

I guess I am looking for a definitive list of the Titans stories before they go the same way as Barbara Gordons wheel chair after the "relaunch".

I do wonder which I will see first "Teen Titans: Games" 10th Anniversary edition or the end of the first Jim Lee drawn arc of the new JLA?

Thanks for all the help and apologies to anyone I manage to upset.
