I guess Bill Willingham thought his series was getting too dark 0

As the main Fables storyline is building up to a new baddie with the Empire's fall, the Dark Man has taken root (pun DEFINITELY intended if you get it...) we, the readers, are suddenly sidelined with a Jack story. Why this even needed to be a Fables instead of just a Jack of Fables story, I can't imagine. Bigby & Snow *could* have guested without the stupid storyline of Jack trying to take over Fabletown and the animal fables and corrupting the cubs...And I don't see what this will have t...

oh, sob sob sob 0

I was expecting a *guide*, but got a heart-wrenching short story instead. All the keys are cataloged in the TPBs, but this short story did not get included... Maybe we can convince Joe and Gabriel to do at least 2 more stand-alone's and have a supplemental TPB... guys?...

Is Raul contagious with the Pitt-virus? 0

The announcement of this crossover event came out at almost the exact same time as Randy Queen's alert that Jackie and Ariel would be meeting. I was more stoked over the Darkness/Darkchylde but my friend Lisa's husband Raul has always been a HUGE fan of Pitt and Timmy. So we pre-ordered the entire series complete with variants for him and when those got here I chose the cover I liked and ordered my copy. Great story, too!...

QUICKIE... not! 0

This collects, compendium-style, all 4 of the TPBs from the "Mulehide" years together into one massive TPB. 20 black-and-white comics in one book... catch up with Lusipher and the gang!I, Lusipher 1-7 and Poison Elves 8-20. If this book were in color, I'd never stop looking at it!...

AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH 0

This is just part of Raven's story! It just ENDS! grrrrrAfter 14 issues with 2 different publishers, just as you THINK there's going to be some kind of resolution to the mystery Raven created... CUT! And how many years later he STILL hasn't finished? I could strangle him if he were in front of me....

STICK TO THE SCRIPT 0

I adore the novel The Talisman by Stephen King & Peter Straub. Not so much its sequel Black House because there wasn't as much balance -- King's Dark Tower world took over. So, the changed and added material for this gn adaptation, which might have worked, just plain didn't. I do believe that's why sales for this title were so lackluster and Marvel/Dabel/Del Rey didn't finish the adaptation. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't The Talisman. Travellin' Jack able to flip into the Territories when...

Read the Book 0

Lately there have been a LOT of novel-to-comic adaptations, and many of those have been good bordering on great. BUT...This is not one of those. The characters of Harper Connelly and her step-brother Tolliver Lang are drawn with a "hip" flair when the novels state plainly that she has short-to-shoulder length brown curly hair and since her job is so outlandish and she tends to work mainly in the conservative south, that's her appearance, too. Conservative makeup, no piercings other than her ear....
