Yep, agreed. It's a damn shame people think copying Batman or Wolverine will make characters cooler. I hope everything turns out well with Superior Spider-Man and Andy Diggle's Action Comics run.

I've heard about Trillium (since I'm a huge Jeff Lemire fan), but I hadn't heard about The Wake. Sounds interesting! The title font reminds me of The Abyss.
