Evil Dead 4 still a go?

Sam Raimi has currently said that he and his brother Ted Raimi will be working on a script for Evil Dead 4 this summer. Now normally I would be taking this with a grain of salt as Raimi has been saying Evil Dead 4 will be coming for a while now. However with the release of the new Evil Dead so close at hand, and being a producer for it, it makes sense to me that Raimi may indeed be on track to actually make Evil Dead 4. Think about it, both Bruce and Sam have been working on this new movie, which is a reimagining of the original Evil Dead, which I see as something to really ignite Raimi's love for his second best known trilogy. Source of this news?

So what do you guys think about this? If there was an Evil Dead 4, what would the story be? Bruce Campbell is guaranteed naturally, but does that mean Ash will have a major part in the movie or just a cameo? Could this work?

See but if they make an Evil Dead remake and then jump into Evil Dead 4 people are going to be soooo confused. The only way I could see it happen is if like Army of Darkness it has a completely different title. I hope it starts off from the original ending of Army of Darkness where Ash took too much potion and ended up in the future. I could see an old Ash leading a group of survivors against deadites.

@PrinceIMC: I always hoped the ending where he's back at his job in S-Mart and still fighting demons and Deadites since it's like the Army of Darkness comics where Ash becomes a full time bad ass monster slayer!!

It's not going to be Evil Dead 4. It's going to be Army of Darkness 2.

The new Evil Dead film is being made really because it is been how Rami originally intended it to be.More darker as opposed to what Evil Dead is.

Now Id really love to see a new one done, and actually calling it Army of Darkness 2 could work.I think the new ED film is going to be stand alone.

But he says hes working on the script this summer so it wont be out till late 2014 at least,so I doubt people will get confused regarding the titles.

Honestly, I'm more excited for the remake than any sequel to Army of Darkness..which I didn't care for that much.

Bruce Camble made that series and I find any Evil Dead without him seems stupid.
