@firestarlord73194: Not so familiar with Ajax. But from what I’ve seen in the Marvel wiki, it seems only the Deadpool movie version of Ajax is named “Freeman”

@pyrofn: I’ve been racking my brain about this and trying to figure out if I ever came across a “Freeman” character in X-Men lore. Anybody have any idea???

Either it’s an obscure character or there’s gonna be more to that later in Hickman’s run

@koays: Yeah i kinda know what you mean, and although i do see a difference in how Cyclops is now compared to where he was at just recently, I don't really have much of a problem with it. In fact, as a long time Cyclops fan, i'm just glad that Hickman has given him so much more panel time as compared to Wolverine or even Jean.

As for whether Cyclops doesn't "feel right". Well a lot has supposedly happened since last we saw the X-Men. Assuming that this is the Cyclops we all know and not some clone, or alternate version, etc. Where we left off with the X-Men, Cyclops was beginning or at least willing to cede leadership of the X-Men. Besides, i've always seen Cyclops as a reluctant leader. He leads because he felt that either it was expected of him, or he just happened to be the best person for the job at the time. It never felt like something he wanted. But now we presumably have Professor X coming back with some kind of "game changer". And perhaps that was enough for Cyclops to decide that this new era for mutants is best led by Xavier, and not himself.

I personally like how Hickman has written Cyclops so far. He's like a mix of the boy scout (taking orders from Xavier and being mr nice guy with the FF) and the Revolutionary (how he ended the confrontation with Reed and "Then it will be done")

I know they kinda appeared during the AvX event, but does Charles legit have telekinesis now?

Did Charles display telekinesis in AvX?? i don't remember that...
But isolating what we've seen in HOX and POX so far, I would say its still debatable whether he does. It could simply be Prof X stretched out his hand and Magneto floated it over to him.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

heck even moira is alive and shes human, so my theory is it can bring back humans too

Do we know for a fact that Moira is back? Technically we've only seen her in the "flashback" sequence in POX#1. Or did i miss something?

One criticism I have though, about the last issue, when Jean came back with all the other X-men from Nate's reality, that was the first time she saw Cyclops and Logan, right ? I know she loves Cyclops, but to so crudely ignore Logan and walk past him as if he was nothing, was extremely rude. Especially considering all their history together.Or had Jean and Logan met prior to that issue ?

Yes, technically Jean and Logan did meet shortly after his own resurrection. This was covered in the Return of Wolverine mini series. The first instance Logan was under some kind of mind manipulation so he was actually attacking the X-Men, so although technically they met, it might not be considered a true meeting. But when the series wrapped, they showed that Logan did go back to the Xavier school. So although they don't actually show it, it's kinda implied that he probably said hi to old friends but chose not to stick around.

BUT even if they had never actually met since both their resurrections... c'mon. Scott and Jean have been through so much more together. Known each other since teens. Death. Rebirth. Marriage. Betrayal. Death again. Good times and bad. I think its perfectly reasonable that she made a bee-line straight for her husband (ex-husband?) and didn't stop to say hi to anyone else along the way.

And how can you be sure those were Cyke and Jean?

We can't be 100% sure coz the characters are not named. But it is heavily implied. The two that emerge from the pods in front of Xavier are a brunette male and a redhead female. Then Xavier lifts the chin of the brunette male who has red energy coming out of his eye.

That being said, these opening pages have me equally intrigued, and worried at the same time. And its not a wholly negative kind of worry, because I've enjoyed a majority of Hickman's work and that has afforded him a certain amount of blind trust. At least from me.

It's likely way too early to tell what the pods actually are.

Do they fix mutations? Heal mutants? Is that why Cyclops seems to have grown back his right eye? It'll be a nice change if Scott could actually control his powers now, and he wears the visor because its part of his "mutant clothes" and so he can have even more range of control than his eyelids can afford. Maybe thats why the Cyclops we see in HOX seems to have a renewed confidence and swagger.

Are they cloning pods? That'll be really disturbing. But that could also explain why everyone seems to have fallen in line with Xavier again.

So can we assume everything that Rosenberg did has been undone?

X-Men should just be called “DAYS OF SUMMERS” LOL

Besides the main title, I’m most intrigued by New Mutants and Excalibur.

One question though... Where is Magneto??

I wonder how Hickman is gonna handle the aftermath of Rosenberg's Uncanny run??

For example, with Banshee seemingly dead, yet appearing in the preview for House of X, is Hickman retconning what Rosenberg has just done? And if so, what other retcons are in place for characters who suffered similar fates recently in UXM?

Having read Hickman's previous work, i'm sure there will be some way of addressing this and it isnt just gonna be swept under the carpet.
