I actually just read 'The Killing Joke' for the first time yesterday. That s**t was too depressing. I kinda feel like it doesn't belong in a fun game like this, haha.
It's Jason Todd. I'm really positive on this one. Geoff Johns had an idea a couple years ago (pre-New 52) to write Jason Todd in as Earth 2's Batman. Obviously, Geoff isn't writing this, but I have a strong feeling that's what they're doing. This Batman is clearly more aggressive in his fighting style (he uses that little gun on his wrist), he wears red, and his Bat-logo is similar to the one Jason uses in Red Hood and the Outlaws.
I'd like to see Batman 666, New 52 Green Arrow, Dick Grayson's Batman (as a Nightwing alt), and maybe some of the other Green Lantern characters as alts for Hal Jordan.
I feel like Superman has too many similar villains. Doomsday, Zod, Cyborg Superman, Bizarro. Aren't they all kinda the same? Not a huge/knowledgeable Superman fan by the way...
I feel like artists outside of Kenneth Rocafort are gonna have a hard time getting Cyborg Superman to look this good.
I wanted to punch whoever drew the Nightwing and Red Robin pages through my comic. They were bad. This story is getting a little crazy, and I might be alone here, but I did think it was kinda cool how Batman used a combination of the suit of sorrows, the exo-skeleton, and the man-bat serum. Hopefully in the next issue, we Bruce chose to take the serum. It's all kinda weird, but I expect nothing less from Grant Morrison. I've loved all his Batman work so far, so I trust in him to finish this story off strong. Pretty good issue overall.
One question though, does the world know that Bruce has a biological son? I know Bruce makes sure to erase all records of the Batman family throughout the world, but will just saying Damian is in Europe from now on really work?
