I just read the first 4 issues of All Star Batman actually and I have to say I actually enjoyed them. I'm a big fan of this 'devil may care' style Batman and think his attitude is great, I think that Morrison just wanted to depict the Batman in a new light and he has done that perfectly. As to whether or not it's a parody I think that yeah, he is poking fun in certain areas, but at the same time it is a believable character when you consider this is in the Dark Knight Universe. However I have to agree that Year One just doesn't seem to fit in this universe, unless somewhere along the way Batman just got super cocky for some reason.

I wonder if All Star Batman may have fared better had All Star Superman not been as well recieved.

I think it'd be way too cheesy for my liking for Jason to call Bats his dad. I think that whatever reason Jason decides to help Batman for it probably has some kind of benefit for him, unless something happened in the DCnU that we didn't know about..

I started reading Batman comics in september so I have a good idea what you're going through. I grabbed myself the New 52 Batman self-titled series (there are only 6 issues out so far) and I also started reading some old runs starting with Year One, The Killing Joke and A Death In the Family. I read these three specifically because they have been confirmed to have happened in the new 52 Batman's timeline. However I've also been picking up other stories such as Hush, Year Three, Long Halloween, Ras Al Ghul, The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Again, all of which I am reading purely for there story. So yeah just pick up the New 52 Batman run and Year One, you should be good to go from there!

So I recently read the Dark Knight Returns and the Dark Knight Strikes again, and I have also been looking at grabbing All Star B&RtBW #1-10, however I'm at a loss as to what happens at the end of this? Is the series tied up at the end of #10? What happened to Dark Knight Boy Wonder? Is the Dark Knight series in the New 52 anything to do with the Dark Knight universe?

So many questions, sorry but I must know :P

I'd have to say Sue Dibny, Rorschach and weirdly enough, the original Terra in New Teen Titans.

Besides, how long would it be until Gotham's super villains got hold of some Kryptonite...

Jericho was described as a mutant a few times in The New Teen Titans, his super power was a result of a mutation in his genes caused by the experiments on his dad (Deathstroke). There is also Captain Comet who was genetically altered due to radiation from a comet going overhead.. These are the only two I am aware of who are probably pure mutants.

Hey guys, yesterday I picked up the runs of both Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis, and the runs of Return of Donna Troy and Day of Vengeance. I'm trying to build up a decent collection to read it all in a good order through my first read, and I was wondering what other comics/tie-ins I should consider getting. I'm going to grab Prelude to Infinite, OMAC run, and Countdown to Infinite. Are there any others I should get? Also does anyone have a definitive reading order for Infinite Crisis? Or a narrowed down reading order with the basic things I should read. Also should I read anything before reading Identity Crisis? (I have a basic understanding of what happened during Crisis on Infinite Earths).

Because I'm pretty new to comics this is my first event and I am pretty excited to read it, I just want to read it as it was meant to be read!

I've only read a few of these titles but my favourite is Batman from Batman, he seems to be the most like he should be, in my mind at least.
