@impossibilly: You, sir, have made my day. Both with your theory and the Joe reference. I had a similar, evil Alfred theory when I first saw the Outsider and before the Earth 3 announcement.

At least it isn't Josh Brolin. But seriously, I'm cautiously optimistic. His acting chops have significantly increased since DD. He'd be a great Bruce, but Batman....I don't know.
