Kaine was almost six years old (Ben had been gone from New York for five, Kaine once said he had trained for months with Warren to become Peter, then add the time it took Warren to create Ben (and train him), you get six, maybe seven years), when he first appeared in the 90's. And let's say, it's been a year or two (in-universe) since then, so he's had almost a decade to pick up Japanese and Spanish at one point or another. It's not like his DNA defines him and he can't learn something new, that Peter doesn't know.

1999 version. It was Rob Marshall's directorial debut and because of the 1999 Annie, he got the chance to direct Chicago.

Flight: You go to sleep one night, then you wake up miles up in the air and fall down (as you haven't learned how to use this ability, in a concious state)..

I could see Power Girl work as a character driven series (explore her early time on Earth, her start as a heroine and journey towards becoming a millionaire CEO and the JSA:s first chairwoman).

The same with Ultimate Spider-Woman. Start off with her escaping from the Jackal (I'm mixing together Ultimate and mainstream here), discovering that she's female and slowly adjusting to that and the fact that she's now attracted to boys (something that her having the memories of the heterosexual Peter Parker's memories, causes a conflict with), throughout the first 2-3 seasons. So, you'd have a coming of age story, from an original perspective. To add additional conflicts and problems, I would have the real Peter Parker be dead and a few other clones running around, some posing a threat to Peter's family and loved onces (who Jessica now has to protect, without making direct contact at first, as she's unsure if aunt May would accept her).

And then you've got Spider-Girl. Same premise: a coming of age story. And once again, I would have Peter be dead. Partly, because I wouldn't want him to overshadow the show's protagonist, but also to add conflict, problems and drama to the show. Okay, so May is 15 and starting to develop her powers. The thing for her would be to talk to someone, who's gone through the same thing, but she can't as the first candidate his dead and the second (Kaine) has little to no contact with the Parker family (as MJ would likely cut him out of their lives, once Peter's dead, as she'd find it to painfull to look at a man, who looks and sounds exactly like him) and MJ can't help her in that way (+ she's also very much against her daughter's new superhero career, having already lost Peter years ago and not wanting to bury another member of her family).

@CaioTrubat: Think you pretty much summed up the average online reviewer. Let's face it, quite a few of the reviews you find online varies from lousy criticism (.i.e. they haven't done any research, stating the movie's problems without offering a solution and the critic only does negative reviews) to hypercriticism (you know, nitpicking). There's only a few who tries to stick to the guidelines for good criticism. "Criticism" isn't simply being negative about something. And that's what a lot of online "critics" (everything from video reviewers, bloggers and posters on various boards) seem to forget and they go in to a movie, looking for something to complain about.

The Jackal. As then you can have multiple villains (without the usual problems, that causes), along with setting up potential spin-offs. Have (Ultimate) Scorpion (for fun, have his tail be based on Doc Ock's technology), (Ultimate) Tarantula and Spidercide appear as minor villains, for Peter to fight, while trying to figure out who's cloned him. And feature Kaine (in case, they'd wanna do a Scarlet Spider spin-off) and (Ultimate) Spider-Woman. They could even introduce the Venom symbiote as a side-project by Warren, using Peter's DNA combined with an alien substance found in a meteor (the symboite breaks free and part of a minor subplot, comes into contact with Flash, bonds with him towards the end, post-credit scene shows us him as Venom and then you can do the Venom spin-off).
