I agree that they should skip the origin story and give us an already established and experienced Spider-Man.
I agree that an established Spider-man would be great, but they'll need to explain where he was during the Battle of New York...there's NO WAY that even a rookie Spider-man would think of staying away from getting involved in that...I'm curious to see how his timeline overlaps with the established NYC timeline and previously mentioned BoNY
How do you know he wasn't somewhere else in the city, doing what he could to help? Manhattan is a big place, after all, and those aliens were zipping around several blocks! Or maybe he was bitten shortly after that ;)
Exactly...my hopes is that this is touched on...while not a must-have, I would love to see some Spidey vs. Chitauri mayhem in some cinematic form...

Can't wait!! Between this and Silk I really hope Secret Wars doesn't stop everything just to start over again...
Tell me about it...unless these are pre-Spiderverse tales, which I am equally down with...
With the amount of stress that's been put on the "years-in-the-making" Secret Wars and the sudden success of this character, I don't see much interaction with this event...but I'm excited either way!
And after FBP, I am buying whatever Rodriguez is drawing, I can't get enough of this guy's work...it is the very definition of "so fresh, so clean."
I'm interested in Ultron now being a Chitauri program rather than created by Tony Stark. That's at least a much more preferable outcome than Stark creating Ultron compared to Hank Pym in the comics. Glad to see Thor getting some spotlight and the Hulk vs Hulkbuster promo art looks superb. Vision is looking like a good design too, I just hope Age of Ultron isn't too overcluttered with characters in a 2-2 and half hour film.
Ultron being a program found within the Chitarui's technology caught me off-guard for a moment, mainly because I didn't even expect that. But having it being an alien program that Stark simply re-engineered makes it a bit more interesting and better explains why Ultron would want to eradicate Humanity. Though I was hoping that they would have at least mentioned that Tony based Ultron off of Hank Pym's design and would still give Pym some credit, but oh well.
I'm interested in how fans will accept Vision's movie origins, with him being created by Stark and Banner instead of by Ultron himself. Though it does explain why JARVIS is voicing him as I assume at some point in the film Tony will call upon JARVIS to bring Vision online to help in their battle against Ultron.
I'm thinking (also read as "hoping") it's a case of Marvel selecting their words carefully. The description says "discovered...among the ruins of the Chitauri invasion of New York." It doesn't call out the computer program as being of Chitauri origin, maybe an old lab/building (Pym's) was destroyed and while searching through the rubble of battle, this "simple computer program" was found. "Simple" may be a hint that it was developed in a time of early computing on Earth. Also, Chitauri tech wouldn't be considered 'simple' in my opinion.
(And wtf is that creative team still doing on Ultimates?)
Amen to that, this is easily one of the biggest disappointments and waste of perfectly good characters...this should be cancelled, they stay as a team off-cell and only appear occasionally in the Miles books.
At the very least, salvage Cloak & Dagger with their own book and new creative team.
