The richest duck in Duckburg is back. To celebrate, those nasty Beagle Boys have raised the stakes in trying to rob Scrooge McDuck.
It's a new arc but the there's still plenty of danger for Marcus and friends. Things get pretty crazy, as you would expect.
Doc Green and Red Hulk smash EVERYTHING.
Who's the artist for this piece?
@kev17: Frank doesn't smoke. To my knowledge, he never did.
Can anyone tell me where this picture is from?
Snyder is undoubtedly one of the greatest Batman writers of our generation, but no one should forget that Capullo's art and the panel layouts in the issue are what really takes the reader on such a chilling, trippy journey. Unbelievably fantastic.
I have to say this regarding Bane's accent in the prequel and trailer: it's almost definitely not Latino. From what I can tell, it sounds South African. I think people are interpreting the weird accent as Latino because they know Bane was from S. America a priori and it's creating a bias. I'll be totally shocked if they try and pass the accent that Hardy has put on the character off as Latino.
And regarding Joseph Gordon-Levitt: it seems to me a couple of odd coincidences that his character's name is "John Blake" which sounds a lot like "Tim Drake" and he's a young cop, just like Dick was during his Bludhaven days. I know a lot of people will agree with me in saying that JGL is too great of an actor to just play a minor part. When Gary brought up the speculation that Nolan will kill Bruce and that this "John Blake" will take the cowl, it got me thinking... Would I like to see a protege -- whomever it is -- take the cowl from Bruce on screen? I think I would, but at the same time, I don't think it would have the impact that it did when Dick stepped up after Batman RIP -- there's not enough established history. It would definitely be interesting, though...
Fantastic podcast. Totally agree with James on Ann Hathaway's total lack of sexuality -- she always comes off as homely to me. Also, she's a horrific actress.
As weird as it sound, when I read Sinestro I imagine him sounding like Adolf Hitler.
Good review. Definitely going to pick this up tomorrow when I make it to the shop. Is it written by Skottie Young, the artist?
Awesome podcast. Q and A was really cool.
I love this picture. I wish this was his "New 52" look.
