Would you like to see the Green Beetle appear in the main DC comics universe or not?

For me personally...I'd like to see the Green Beetle scarab appear, but perhaps not the same host since the comic book Green Martians are WAY stronger than their YJ cartoon counterparts, so one bearing beetle armor would be above and beyond too powerful, like a Kryptonian with a green lantern ring etc. The cartoon Green Beetle was cool mind you, but I'm not certain he would be able to fit in the main DC universe.

Assuming DC Comics realizes its mistake and returns Blackfire to her evil roots, who would you choose to serve as alien henchmen for Tamaran's Princess of Evil? Personally, I think the following characters could potentially make good underlings for Blazing B...

1) Vril Dox AKA Brainiac II: He could serve as her resident mad scientist thanks to the romantic chemistry they shared in the R.E.B.E.L.S. comics, plus despite being the anti-hero of those stories, he really did lean more towards being a baddie than a hero, kinda like Lex Luthor in space, only smart enough to cover his tracks lol.

2) Downpour & Shifter: The Ultitwins...Yes, they weren't actually aliens in Justice League Unlimited, but were pretty quick to go evil & were honestly much cooler & more formidable than their Wonder Twin counterparts, & they could easily be reintroduced as actual aliens in DC comics given their designs. Their powers would make them useful spies & assassins for Blackfire, & many may underestimate them based off their appearance rather than recognize them as serious bodyguards for Blackfire.

3) Bolphunga the Unrelenting, a humorous but formidable villain that could serve as Blackfire's muscle. I know he's usually a Green Lantern baddie, but with all the Lantern Corps villains out there a space barbarian like Bolphunga tends to get overlooked by the likes of Sinestro, Atrocitus, & Larfleeze, etc

4) Cironielian Chrysalis Eater: In her humanoid form she could serve as a seneschal or handmaiden to Blackfire, but then change into her monstrous combat form to dispatch her queen's enemies >;3

IT'S ABOUT TIME!

I was hoping the comics would take the approach one of the recent Justice League movies did. His body is mostly scarred, but his midsection is intact. They just covered his body in machine parts. I hated how only his face was human. Like isn't he a biological being? if he eats and drinks, he wouldn't even have an organic body to process the food. It still kind of annoys me.

I do like his new, sleeker look based off what I've seen so far, more closely resembles his TV & classic 80s self, i.e. he appears to be part man, part machine instead of a human head attached to a robot body. I like the idea of there being more of his organic body left intact and his armor serving as a life support system, he just looks better that way instead of being all clunky and overloaded with metallic junk. And like you said, if he can eat and drink then he must still have a digestive system & all that entails too. He's still a bionic man, there's just more of his flesh & blood left over now than there was before & I think the look suits him, makes him look more heroic & less like a weapon of mass destruction lol, but still badass and high tech.

@ivan_jimenez86: Starfire has never been that strong. Matter off act she got easily handled by Superman in RHatO.

She's more around low class 100.

I would also like to see Starfire fight some bad guys in the same weight class as Superman & Wonder Woman, give us a better idea of her power levels, especially now that she has her own solo title, I'd like to see her go toe to toe with serious alien & metahuman powerhouses rather than street level baddies. Considering that Starfire has been shown to be stronger than Donna Troy, fought on par with Wonder Woman, destroyed a Brainiac skull ship herself, and once required the combined strength of Donna & Mon-El to restrain her while angry, I think she's tougher than many give her credit for (or should be, kryptonians aren't the only badasses in the DC universe)....As for those fights she had with New 52 Superman, I think of them as wasted opportunities to show off Star's strength. Outlaw Starfire suffered from a lot of flaws unfortunately, & she certainly doesn't need to beat Superman to prove how tough she is, BUT, having her give Superman a run for his money & proving that as the team's powerhouse she can protect them from the likes of him & similarly powerful heroes & villains would have gone a long way to make up for some of the damage done to Kory's character...Alas, they depict her as being completely & utterly outclassed if I recall correctly, Supe's treating her like a minor annoyance rather than a real challenge (thus giving us even fewer reasons to admire the Outlaw's depiction of Starfire, & making you wonder why Superman & his ilk never rounded up the Outlaws).

Yet oddly enough as of the new title Starfire & Supes seem to be on good terms (which I prefer honestly but doesn't make sense if the new comic is in continuity with New 52). Regardless, I'll give the new comic a chance & hope Starfire is done justice & allowed to grow as a powerhouse character in the DC universe now that she works alone.

Since Starfire will be getting her own solo series soon, I figured it might be interesting to discuss which supervillains we'd like to see return to face Kory over the course of her new solo series. Gotta build that rogues gallery! Personally, I'd like to see...

1) Blackfire: She's Kory's oldest nemesis and a must have, maybe not right away obviously, but sooner or later she SHOULD show up as her Big Bad, and if anything from those Outlaw comics should be retconned, its the notion that Blackfire was a benevolent big sister who reluctantly sacrificed Kory to the Citadel to save their world as opposed to being the greedy, jealous tyrant we all know and love...Seriously Lobdell, what was up with that? Star has ONE arch-rival, how does one screw that up? Yes, she has other enemies of course but none of them are as personal for her as Blackfire.

2) Bolphunga the Unrelenting: Traditionally a Green Lantern foe, Bolphunga can be both a humorous AND dangerous adversary, not Big Bad material perhaps, but he'd make a good physical nemesis to face off with, kinda like Rhino or Scorpion are for Spiderman if ya catch my drift. Though to be fair, if he was more like his animated self from "Emerald Knights" he could be a little smarter than that lol. I just like the idea of Kory trying to relax at the beach one day and this big, loud space barbarian descends from the sky to pick a fight for no good reason and disrupt what had been an otherwise good day XD. He could be either a hired henchman for another villain, a bounty hunter looking to collect a price on Kory's head left by Blackfire or another baddie, OR, just his usual M.O. of looking to prove he's the best by defeating a powerful opponent, in this case Kory.

3) The Chrysalis Eater: Yeah, I know, she's from the TV show not the comics, but I like the concept of this beautiful mysterious alien gal who transforms into a horrific clawed monster once she lures her victims into a false sense of security, lots of spooky possibilities. Just change the monster's M.O. to wrapping her prey up in cocoons before eating them so the Chrysalis Eater name will still fit, as opposed to being a creature that hunts down Tamaraneans who undergo a specific form of puberty XD

4) Vega aliens: Psions, Citadelians, Branx Warriors, the works, bring em all back >8D

5) Kanjar Ro: A foe of the Justice League and Adam Strange, Kanjar Ro is an evil alien tyrant with access to advanced tech and who rules over his own planet, I'm sure the writers could think up an excuse for Starfire and Ro to cross paths, so Kory can kick his ass XD

6) Despero: Maybe not his fully powered self obviously, the team breaker, but his power level has fluctuated from incarnation to incarnation, like in the Justice League cartoon where GL John Stewart could go one on one with him if I recall correctly. I admit this one's more of a long shot & might work better if she was working with the Titans again however (since it normally requires LOTS of heroes working together to defeat this bruiser when he's at the peak of his game), just trying to think outside the box for baddies who'd be interesting to see interacting with Starfire. Plus, given Despero's penchant for tyranny and enslaving people, Kory would just HATE this bastard lol.

What you guys think of my list? Who'd you like to see recruited into or return as part of Starfire's rogues gallery for her new comic?

Despero would win, he singlehandedly defeated Captain Marvel, who's strength is on par with Superman's, like he was nothing, even his magic lightning couldn't hurt Despero. Superboy & the rest of the team were helpless against Despero until Zatanna was freed from his trance and turned his own hypnotic eye against him. Mongul is physically on par with Black Beetle, but has no super powers beyond brute strength, & since Mongul is traditionally on par with Superman in terms of strength and durability, and we know Despero is stronger than that, I believe Despero would dominate the fight, possibly without having to resort to his mental powers, and if he did have to take it that far, it would stop Mongul in his tracks.

Personally, I liked Larfleeze better when he was first introduced and was taken more seriously, kinda like a cross between Smaug & Gollum in the body of a humanoid space boar, an entity you could almost pity but who's unquenchable greed, raw power, & lack of empathy for others made him a serious threat rather than a comedic one. You just have to watch how he effortlessly slaughters the Controllers, brutally murders others & enslaves them as constructs for him to call upon, and see how even Guardians of the Universe were so afraid of him that they made the Vega System off limits to all green lanterns for centuries just to avoid a conflict with him...So I don't really dig how he apparently went from terrifying ancient evil to comedy relief baddy.

While I'd like to see Starfire & the other Titans reunited (not a New 52 fan lol), the idea of Kory getting her own solo series, and getting away from Jason Todd & Roy Harper XD, does appeal to me. Will the Outlaw comics still be in continuity or will they be retconned after the Convergence event? I feel that Kory's solo series would have more potential if the Outlaws comics were no longer canon (since in the Outlaws books Blackfire was robbed of her villainous nature & the Citadel was taken out by her before she arrived on earth apparently...She'd have much more of a rogue's gallery to work with if her archfoe Blackfire was still her big bad instead of a "loving sister," plus various other Vega System aliens & the Citadel empire to deal with).

It would be weird for Gohan to have a Demon father

True, though Piccolo isn't Gohan's dad, Goku is (though one can argue which of them was a better parental figure to Gohan lol).
