I can't believe some of the responses here! I have always been a fan of Batman and Robin. Even my 4 year old knows that it's Batman AND Robin. "The Dark Knight Rises" gave us what I would like to think of as the "real world" Robin. I feel that if Nolan's Bruce Wayne could become Batman then why couldn't Robin John Blake do the same? I would like to add that Batman hasn't always been Bruce Wayne people...
Nolan has done a great job with his Dark Knight Trilogy and who are we to question his plans? He hasn't held to tightly to comic book story lines so why does it matter? People are saying that JGL's character had no training and that he wouldn't ever be able to do what Bruce did... Wasn't Bruce Wayne just a regular man? He was trained - not supernatural and he used technology, which if I'm not mistaken - was given to Blake in the last min of the movie. So where is your argument here?
