# 5: Sonic the Hedgehog. People here would know that I seem to like that annoy kid at school who repeats the same thing over and over

agin. But what can I say. I love this series. It originally started out a promotional joke comic back when the Blue Blur was 8-bit on Genesis, but over a small time, it went through the entire comic book evolution, with the exception of the extreme 80’s. It was one of the first mediums that actually gave Sonic depth. When you see chili-dogs, who comes into mind? It proves that American and Japanese ideas can work together in the right way. Not mention that it the kind of comic you can read to your kids without you having a bad taste of sugar in your mouth when your done, or have kid be completely desensitize towards violence, blood, and sex. Ian Flynn and Tracy Yardley have recently made the series more like a cartoon show that you can’t wait to see each month. Not to mention, it defiantly a good comic that both adventurous and fun, the kind of stuff that made us read comics in the first place.

#4: 52. This comic was a bit gimmicky, but it was fun to see what can happen in a comic book universe week by week for a whole year. With a wide range of cast of characters and events, it’s hard not to enjoy this series.

#3: Kamandi. A Jack Kirby classic. With a series that revolves around a naked boy, I am surprise no one has made any gay jokes. Seriously, to sum up the series, it basically an greta mix between Planet of the Apes and Flash Gordon. Another charmed to this series is that it the title character gets a cameo in everything, but doesn't seem 'ready' to get a new seires for today's generation, so it makes it a hobby to find the orginal seires online.

#2:  Invincible, because it is likes a good drama show. Usually I steer clear of over dramatic stuff, like Desperate House Wives or Lost. It’s not that I hate them, it’s just too much to handle. But Invincible is an exception. It’s well balance with the drama and the light satire of  the ‘normal’ teenage life that keeps it from going totally morbid.

#1. Superboy vol. 4 done bay Karl Kesel. You know how Countdown was to pay tribute to Jack Kirby’s work when DC killed the New Gods? While Karl did before with during his second run on this series, not mention laid the best character development for our favorite kid, who never became the man that he wanted to be. Not to mention it was the series that got me into main stream stuff today (so, ya. Favoritism)

The Two needs balance

It all a matter of balance to between the two. If you have dark and moody story line, then you need the art to fit it. the reason why Mark Waid and Alex Ross work on Kingdom Come was because it was set in the 'real' world, where the art set to match the setting.

Hmm... tough call.

It's hard to say. If they do make a real life show based on a comics series, it's bound to not going to be a 100% adaption of the series, so it kinda hard too say what can be done. After all, TV drama and comic book drama both have unique styles of weird. One idea seems to have any remote chance would be, Martian Manhunter becuase it's kinda like Angel, only with aliens.

Let's see, I started reading when Viz releashed those Poke'mon comics and than the graphic novels. I then subscribed to Shonen Jump, a monethly collection of issues of several manga series in one book,  after seeing the preview of GT in a issue at my bookstore. With that, I was reading Naruto before the anime came out and everyone was doing that.

After that, I would fequential buy issues of Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Rave Master (my personal Fave), and Megaman NtWarrior.

I would buy more novels today, I'm WAY behind in Rave Master, but I pretty much stripe for cash , meaning I can't spend money for comics without knowing when I would need it in the future. And so far, my job hunt has yielded no results what so ever.

Not a toy but something realting to comics.

I don't exatcly have a toy but I do have some piece of merchandise that's related to comics. Our family has these four blue Ninja Turtles cups from some time at the start of the 90's. And since then, through countless trips into the washer machine, and where are other plastic decals have fade away to the point you can't make out anything, the Ninja Turtles cups manage to come out with just a couple of scratches.

Best of the Worst

5. For a cartoon animal character, Mogul is surely the most evil character in Sonic universe. Almost made Sonic's friends commit suicide via mind control.

4. Ever had a vilian said 'I'll Kill You to Death" before. Plus he killed my fave, Superboy.

3. Even though he establishes himself as a god of justice and the new world; Light is just a self-absorb douche-bag; kinda like Lex.

Another Countdown of Faves

What about the real life shows, Like Wonder Woman and Incredible Hulk? They made some ground for those characters.

And the my Top Five

5. The only show that took the so called 'edgy' and 'extreme' premises of the 80's and actually got it right.

4. At first, I thought it another Marvel attempt of reusing story ideas that already have been done. But they actually reintorude the actual begging of Spider-Man's life, including Gwen Stacey and the classic return of Mary Jane. Not to mention how slick the animation and style make it stand out from it's predecessor.

3. Old school stuff before half the characters in the DC universe become train wrecks and emo. Sure the stories were simple and the animation is stiff by comparison by today's standard, but growing up on this as kid can lead you to enjoy the main stream comics.

2. This show manage to bring X-Men to their ideal concept that the comics seemed to forget: The idea of normal humans and powerful mutants living in co-existence.

1. Another tie with Marvel and DC. Both of these shows help launch other series from their success, most them are my favorites too but I can't be listed here, you know what I'm talking about

I walk in Stride Everywhere.

I am a fan and everyone knows.

My Dad worries for my money habbits and school studies when I order some comics online or when I go to the bookstore. I usually talk about geek stuff with some friends at campus, mostly the girls. My Dad thinks that no one reads comics like I do. But with our generation, we got the anise invasion, followed shortly by the manga craze, not too mention the all the Comic Book movies that are coming out; so the "geek' level has increase quite a bit. But, I am not like those loser geeks he get their shallow moment of superior by knowing how many Pokemon there are in Snap for the N-64.

5. Miles 'Tail Prower. name one other sidekick that is a ace mechanic, an anceint prophecy chosen one, can fly a bi-plane for long travel, and can lift you up to hard to reach spot after you had your 100th chilli-dog using just his tails?

4. Skeets. Face it, Booster would be nothing without Skeets.

3. Barbara Gordon. Barbara's here because she mange to survive a life changing situation, getting shot and paralyze, and still pull more than her own weight in her nightjob. As Batgirl, she helped clean the streets of Gotham in her grace and wits. As Oracle, she has done the same on a global scale.

2. Spoiler. Being a sidekick to a sidekick may sound lame, but Steph earn some popularity because she has a orgion tat seems to be for a ciche villian in Gotham, being the daughter of a super villain, living low class after all. But despite the her tribulations, she knows what right and earn respect in the Bat Family and DC fans.

1. Dick Grayson and Bucky. A tie between the first two sidekicks that came a long from being hostages and the center of  certain 'rumors' with their partners.

Cycolps

Because lately, his leadership is falling under question. Teammates, as well as countless students, have died with him in charge and how many times as the mansion grounds have been compromise? He used to be my favorite Marvel character as a kid, but now his more emo than Wolverine ( in fact, almost all of the X-Men are), which is bad if you seen the 3rd X-Men movie. If it turns out his really a Skrull that would explain his lack of love for Jean and his bad leadership skills; thus redeeming the character in the eyes of the fans. It's cheap recton, I know, but it's one that everyone would let slide.
