DC Films Have to Pick Up the Pace

I heard that movies for Green Lantern, the Justice League, Flash, Wonder Woman are being made but the the film production for these are taking a while.

I'm getting a little tired of it.  I mean Marvel is just cruising with the movies like the Spider-man films, X-men, Iron Man, Hulk, etc. I can understand  if the Batman series is going to lay low for a time due to the passing of Heath. However, Batman is currently the big gun in the DC films, and if the Caped Crusader goes down, how will it affect the other franchises? Superman Returns I thought would get things rolling more but just sort of tailspinned due to the plot and big changes like Clark being a daddy (sorry if you didn't know yet). Plus, he didn't fight anyone. It may need a reboot which is unfortunate.

I like both DC and Marvel and I just want the playing field to be evened out. DC needs to catch up and get production going on anything for example: Teen Titans, Green Arrow, Doom Patrol, Birds of Prey, Aquaman, and so on. On the other hand, I get it if they are taking time to give a good plot for storylines such as Flash and Green Lantern since they would be very complex. I want them to put much more effort into Superman and not just Superman vs. Lex and Kryptonite. I'd like to see Superman vs Bizzaro, Metallo, Darkseid, Mongul or Doomsday (I'd sleep on it for Doomsday).

Agreed.

However, I want them to get the movies right.  Superman definitely needs a reboot.  If they simply have to have Lex, then he needs to at least build his armor suit so they can have a brawl.  No more of this, "I have kryptonite..." (Personally, I think the kryptonite weakness needs to go, ala Kingdom Come) Superman just needs powerful enemies.  His fights need to have big time repercussions and high stakes.

I'm a little skeptical about Ryan Reynolds as Hal.  I think it may confuse the unitiated movie fans who may not know that GL and Deadpool aren't in the same universe.  Hopefully they get the story right.  But what's needed the most I think is... action, action, action!  People want to see superheroes doing super things.  In Returns, the only part I thought that was worth watching was the plane sequence.  That was just awesome, and unfortunately it was really the only good moment in that movie, mainly due to the poor script.

The villains of the new Superman movie are Lex Luthor and Brainiac.
