Project 500

Just a little heads up for those who care.  If you are wondering why I have slowed down from reviews and have not posted a new one since the " Star" article, it is because I want to make the recorded #500 a special one.  I have invited a few friends and acquaintances I respect to help me out with this experimental review.  I am told it is the first attempt at such as thing on the vine, so its got me excited.  I hope you all read it and like it.

It is not the #500 I really want to talk about, it is the possibility to invite other reviewers to come together in a community to do an official "relay" review of this landmark series I think needs a little more love.  I don't want to spoil what series that is in the works and I don't want to spoil my friends list just yet.  But if we can sell you guys on issue #1, who would be down to continue in a relay all the way to the finish?

It is really not about the numbers with me.  Being on top without the recommendations of the community would not mean anything to me.  Being the "Prince" means the world to me and I thank all those who have showed love in any way.  This is why PROJECT 500 is more about the comicvine community then my review count.  I've given my team now a little under two weeks to have Review #500 up for you all.  And I hope it does inspire us all to come together as a community, this invite to the relay is not exclusive to those who have reviewed before, those who haven't reviewed can as well volunteer.

Dependence on the volunteers will determine how this relay review will work.  So feel free to come out in the hoards.
This is for you Comicvine, Cheers

Hmm... I am curious now lol More than happy to help although I have never written a single review here lol

@ComicMan24:  Well it is intended as a "hypersigil" if you will. This project is intended to unite.  I guess we will see who plays nicely and who doesn't...lol
By Volunteering doesn't mean review writer, it could be a possibility for a whole lot of things.  The idea for a group thing came when I noticed the Milestone coming up... so I can't play with my review count two much or I'll miss the mark...lol

But the issue my Motley crew of co-reviewers and I are reviewing is an issue that really should of had a review already, and the whole series as well still has little to no love.  That is where the idea of a relay came.  If the volunteers come in the zounds then other motley crews can form and continue where we left off.  Ultimately I think it will be a fun way to bring the Vine a little closer.  This is why a guy like you can review, or even edit for someone to make a team effort or whatever.  I think it will be a fun project.

So why not celebrate a Milestone in a fun way with the community I enjoy spending so much time with.

@Silkcuts: Ok then.

@ComicMan24:  I am grateful you even wrote on this blog...lol
The relay will not be as much fun if only members of the Motley Crew carry on.

Little riddle:

The Number Four is when I will appear.
My current status brings readers fear.
Cameos are but few,
Warning of Chaos my presences is true.

 If that riddle made any sense, it is a riddle for the next issue you would except I would review in this famous series.

@Silkcuts: I suck at riddles lol

@ComicMan24:  Its cool.
I wonder if anyone will get it before the reviews start.
I finished my first draft of my part, now waiting on my team.
I am excited, I think my plans might work out after all.

@ComicMan24: ....lol
Dark Noldor was right... I have now been associated with the Bat family...lol
That is close, but not quite right of a guess.
You'll have to wait and see.

@Silkcuts: lol The fear thing made me think of Batman. Ok then.
Posted by Silkcuts
@ComicMan24:  HAHAHAHA Comicman is scared of Batman
Just kidding, it was a good guess.  But his cameo's are more then few, not fair from.

Thanks for guessing ^_^

@ComicMan24:  Its long, so making it presentable is the hard part. I don't want to cut anyone's out out or even trim their work.  It is fun because I never has tried this type of project, so I am learning with these guys.

Thanks for being the only regular reader to this blog...lol means a lot that at least one person has been keeping up to date with it.

@Silkcuts: No problem my friend. Any hint as to what this project is about?
Posted by Silkcuts
@ComicMan24:  well... after issue #1 review is posted, I will need help to review the rest of the series.  This is why I called it a "relay". As a team I want the vine to come together and review this ignored landmark series.  I think it will be fun and hopefully people come out to help.  I find that most of the "reviewers" on the vine has a very "Mine" opinion about things.  Hopefully with Project 500, more users can come out and befriend each other or something.  As mentioned above, this project celebrates my landmark yes, but I hope it inspired the vine to become a tighter community.  If I wanted I could easily SPAM reviews till I was on top of the chart, but it is not about the number.  It is about writing something people can discuss.  The medium is dying in my opinion.  Most users on the vine are younger and don't care for the roots of comics.  But only when you know your past can you better understand the present.  This is why Project 500 I feel is a gift back.  Two of the reviewers in the jam never read this landmark series as well. Even if they did not like it, their mind is now exposed to it.  Meaning that this style of comics is no longer alien to them and their view of comics is that much better.

I am glad you are starting to review and when the relay starts, feel free to ask for one of the issues to be reviewed by you if you want.  No pressure.

Thanks buddy.  I am glad you are intrigued.  As for the first stage, it is friends and a special guest.  The next stage is where the vine gets to play with the project, so check back in the next 24 hours.  If there is an issue you want in that series, let me know and I'll take note to it.  The Relay is where I will need the most help.

Thanks again.
Cheers

Should we?  I am thinking a few days wait won't hurt.
