your a huge morrison fan and all this gets from you is Awesome?
I haven't read it yet, I'm sure once I get it and read it I'll be like; HOLY **** THIS WAS ****ING EPIC!
considering what it represents of him, if you don't get that reaction, you probably shouldn't call yourself a Morrison fan of any sort and in fact you'll probably have to become a recluse just to avoid the constant hate of your peers
Glad you said it. I was thinking it. IT IS FLEX! Part of Morrison's works where he infuses some of himself. I am told Flex is suppose to be his dad.

have you seen Talking with the Gods? the book seems to have several ties to his youth and childhood...I remember his dad had something to do with it, can't remember now if it was Flex or another character in the comic though
Its is a great video. I could be wrong, but I remember Flex as the dad figure.

either way I'm definitely interested...kind of weird though because I never cared much about Flex in Doom Patrol (he was a good character, just not particularly amazing IMO though I may have been too busy swooning over Crazy Jane)...I wonder if the intent to have the character symbolize his father always existed or just in the mini it was decided
that is an interesting question, since I haven't read it as well we have to wait to November to talk bout it.
@aztek the lost: Duder. Your just as good as I am.
but you're a legend...plus you're a much bigger Morrison fan, I love Morrison's body of work but he's not my favorite writer

@aztek the lost: Your just a big of a legend. As for the fan comment, okay, I can't argue that one.
I'm a bigger Morrison fan than either of you O_O HAHAHAHAHA O_O
False: I'm a bigger Morrison fan than all of you seeing as how I already read Flex Mentallo.
Reading is one thing, understanding is different and I have proven I get Morrison.
And we're assuming I didn't understand it? ;D
I'm pretty sure I can wrap my head around his work. His work isn't particularly difficult for me to understand, I've come to find out. I often make snide remarks toward people who feel the need to think they found some sort of understanding or enlightenment in his writing that I read the first time I read the book.
@iLLituracy: I'll let you two fight. I rather read an Alan Moore story then debate who is the bigger Morrison fan. Peter Milligan is also in good position to over take Morrison in my books as well.
@Silkcuts: Alan Moore is old...Peter Milligan is a hack.
And no, before anyone demands me to take that back...I refuse.
Your funny. Moore is still the greatest and Peter Milligan is the best writer who doesn't call himself a "magician".
LOL. To be honest I haven't read anything that Milligan has done that's up to par. His work on X-Men, Venom/Carnage, JLA: Classified, and Toxin all felt mediocre at best.
And I didn't mean to blaspheme Alan Moore...I'm sorry...I couldn't say that with a straight face. :'(

@iLLituracy: Shall we declare a truce? Else our love for Grant destroy the world!
i smell fear
Pfft, you smell the week old goat Alan Moore slaughtered to appease his snake-god :P
really? I must of confused it with you loosing your claim as #1 Morrison fan...lol
That's understandable. Being a Moore fan tends to entail being high as a kite 90% of the time =P
^_^ So that is why I see the world the way I do...lol

Classic Vertigo Milligan and his 2000ad stuff is par with Morrison at the time, but most of it is out of print so people have no access to it. I am also I huge fan of his X-Statix.
