i wouldnt mind if it was brought back, but not permanantly. i suppose picking a few days out of...lets say..a month? and letting debates go on. just keep the ones that are genuinely debating about who will win, as opposed to "NO!! YOUR WRONG, GOKU WILL JUST ONE SHOT SUPERMANZ!!". i believe it could work.  so again, just keep the ones that are troll free, which will be hard, but just flag them. i believe there are good battles between comic/anime universes. personally, id like see sakura go head to head with she-hulk. as soon as the trolling starts, just flag them, there easy to spot.  for as long as i've been here on the vine, there are many good debaters.   so why not?

@Blood_guts: i dont believe thats what he meant.its generally the DBZ and Naruto vs comic topics that start the flame wars  And BTW Basilisk was awesome that would make for some serious street leveler fun

this, i'd love to see a Neji vs Daredevil thread, or a L vs Batman detective debate

I think the ANIME VS COMIC should remain ban. This just cause drama the DBZ world will result into flame wars Especially when they learn that DBZ has low durabilty and limited fighting powers. Now as other  Anime there are some Ridiculously powerful characters . out there .  I will admit this the Anime / Manga world can for sure beat the comic world . Not the DBZ world just some manga i have read . Over the Years i have been on there it only brings Flame wars and name calling  

They ban it for the flame wars it insures.And some of it is really stupid and pointless.The most famous Manga character vs comic book character debate I have ever seen is Goku vs superman.I mean like come on really?Goku vs superman,and some people actually go towards goku winning.It's sad and pointless to argue about it with manga fanboys.We all know goku is nowhere near as fast as superman or stronger,if you research superman he clearly wins.Come on now,the only thing i've seen goku do strength wise is when he went super sayian 4 and helped push a building back in place.Like wow that feat to something like superman moving planets,or holding up half of infinity,Use your heads.

I would wanna see the ban get lifted, but since this site focuses on comics, not anime and manga, it seems unlikely that it'll happen.

The only way we could have Anime vs Comics back again would be if we got rid of: 
 
1) Comic Fanboys 
 
2) Anime/Manga Fanboys
 
3) Dragon Ball Z 
 
4) Made it street level only. 
 
THEN, I think it could work out.

First of all, your view on the decision of having anime/manga vs. comic book battles is wrong. It has nothing to do with racism (really!?), and the fact that you think this makes absolutely no sense to me. These kinds of battles were banned because they were a target for users who constantly troll them, thus, starting flame wars within them. Certain users (yes, some of them I know by user name) or notorious for this, especially in threads featuring Dragon Ball Z characters. These are the only kinds of battles that consistently get out of hand. Plus, this isn't a mange/anime site, which is why we have Anime Vice for that. If you think the decision is nasty, fine. But, it won't change anything. The answer to re-enabling these kinds of battles is no. Thanks.
