As far as "Strangest Team up" goes...the same exact thing happened In Ultimate Spider-Man with Peter and Logan. It's not even an original take on the concept. Person with Spider Powers and Person with Wolverine Powers get body swapped...only this time they're girls.
@petey_is_spidey: I doubt that. Who would limit the amount of money they make? Especially if you're just a side character and not a main feature it wouldn't be a big deal. The only big deal is the logistics of one person having to make that many press engagements, premieres, comic cons, and other events.
It's not like JK Simmons is going to any more butts in seats for the new Spider-Man movie. He's a good actor...but he's not exactly overflowing with Star Power.
So judging by that first cover image, the x-men are now some how reverted to being teens now? WTF is that ?
The quick version of the story is that present day Beast went back in time to grab the original X-Men to try and show present day Cyclops exactly how far from grace he has fallen. After a lot of high jinks and shenanigans...they basically decide to stay in the present.
So...this new lady can command birds? That's kind of underwhelming.
Actually she seems to be some sort of telepath. She couldn't get into the adaptoids mind because it doesn't have an organic brain....so instead she MC'ed a bunch of pigeons.
