Chew TV Series

The hit comic series Chew published by Image Comics is being developed into a half hour comedy show. Showtime has bought a script for Chew and Stephen Hopkins is attached to direct and executive produce the series. The script is written by Terri Hughes Burton and Ron Milbauer. 
 
What do you think about this? Do you think Chew could be turned into a good TV series? Any thoughts on who should be cast in the roles?

I'm surprised more hasn't been made of this.  Ironically, this was announced the month I decided to drop the title (purely for monetary reasons).  I'm not sure about it being turned into a 'comedy show'.  It' always seemed like a black comedy, but I can't see that translating well to the small screen.

Its depends how "comedy" they mean. If its "Weeds" comedy it would be perfect. Same type of humor. Im SO excited for this. Chew is one of my all time favorite comics. 
Ken Leung from Lost would be perfect as Tony Chu.

Yeah the comic is more of a black comedy. In the article I was reading about it being turned into a show they said comedy, bot black comedy unfortunately. This already would be challenging to translate into a TV series in my opinion, what with the cannibalism involved.  
 
Anyways it sucks you had to drop the title.

I love Chew as well. Ken Leung would be an interesting choice to play Tony Chu. I could see that working.
