Tough choice here

Is Mister X considered street level? Black Widow?

 ACtually the reason DC is in this conversation is because they had the first street hero. I think that the heroes did get famous because of Batman but not all of them are just there because of him they all did somthing right to be famous today and you cant just say that they copied him because Batwoman is her own character and really has no relation to Batman except for the fact that they both have bats in their name.
 
 
I like Elektra and more of the Marvel Street heroes but I think that DC actually wins. 

Bat Family > Marvel > DC.

Mister Terrific and Bronze Tiger,if Luke Cage is streetlevel then so is Cyborg.Btw Terrific and Cyborg have gotten a major push out of this reboot.Plus there is Tatoo man on Deathstrokes Titans and 2 black guys in Batman INC.

Azrael (Lane),and you put in Crossbones but left out Bane? Facepalm. As for this debate,i think Morpheus would have a better answer.I would say DC has had better writers for their street character in Dixon and O'Neal.

With Wolverine, Captain America and Iron Fist; Marvel has the edge when it comes to a fight. 
 
But Deathstroke owns all.

dc has more teams on the street, so against all my "marvel is best" mentality I will have to say DC.

'best' with regards to what? Playing poker? Fighting crime? Fighting each other? Dance-off? (actually I like dance-off. I bet Iron Fist can cut a rug.)
