Spot on. I don't see why everyone is so hung up about costumes in comics serving a practical purpose. What does it matter if the costume serves a practical purpose? It's fiction, and I don't see why everything in a comic book has to translate directly into the real world. The idea of these straps having a purpose never even crossed my mind and the fact that this is a topic of debate, frankly, baffles me.

From a design point of view I think that what some have said about them being used to give Diana a more Greko/Roman look is probably right. My first though on seeing the straps was "That looks better. Much more Amazonian Warrior" and that, I presume, is what they were after. It even gives the jacket a sense of purpose (which may sound like a contradiction to my earlier statement but the difference here is that I found purpose through the comic itself (that I wasn't looking for), not that i was looking for a purpose for it) as it hides the straps from view when shes wandering around on a street level. It's more like civvies that costume at that level.

The trousers I really like (and those little metal heal clips which) and I've said it a hundred times already but they are a huge improvement over the old costume where she was just wandering around in here underwear. I also like the new golden bracelets (although I'm not sure about the "W"s on them) and the straps are very cool looking. The thing I don't like about the new costume is the top..... There is just something about it that I don't like. Maybe its because it's such a toned down version of the old one and doesn't look all that super. Maybe not. It also doesn't seem to have helped WW keep her dignity(?). In fact as her boobs looked like they were flying all over the place in issue 602 and there was a lot of cleavage on show.

So, in summary, I like the straps and the trousers. Why the costume needs a purpose I don't know and I like that the feel of the costume can go from Warrior Princess to a more subtle Street look.

Now lets see what the story is like when it gets rolling.

" Yea starting to hesitate when it comes to buying this series. 4 bucks an issue for an ok story is a waste. "
You think thats bad? We have to pay between $5.40(£3.50) and $6(£3.99) for our comics here.

As for Red Hulk.... can't really say I care. I tried this series out. Wasn't impressed. Secret and Prime are both much better.

This is what I thought as well. I thought the whole point was she was talking to the gods. However, all the imagery of her mother around does make you wonder (no pun intended). What I really liked about this issue was her taking off her jacket. Those arm strap things, whilst utterly pointless, looked really cool and gave me the whole Warrior Princess vibe again. That said, This issue proves that whilst technically not showing as much flesh it's still a provocative, outfit. There is a lot of predominant boob in the art, lots of cleavage and they look to be about Power Girl sized in some shots..... Still besides that the costume, sans jacket is really good and the issue itself was deserving of a 4 out of 5 rating that you gave it. It leaves a lot unanswered but it's early days in this new arc and it's nice to have a bit of mystery to keep it interesting. If we knew all the reasons it would just be going through the motions :)

Another fine review. :)

I'm confuse. Does this issue cover what happened between RIP and Final Crisis AND explain why he's gon back in time? Because I think what happened between RIP and Final Crisis needed explaining a long time ago. Now would be the perfect time to explain what happened to cause him to go back in time though. Having not read this issue I don't know if those two elements can be told apart? Is that the case? If it is then they really should have cleared up all the mess between RIP and Final around the time that happened. If not, I can kinda see why they waited.

Fair play. I was just pointing out that for a source of information and fact, it's not a good one. (you can post anything on there) . No offence meant.

And I have no idea what you mean about my first sentence guys. ;)

I'm sorry but you can't use urban dictionary to prove a point..... It is probably the least creditable source on the internet...

I do love me a bit of Dick. Actually prefer him as Batman. He is a good leader for the JLA as well. No killing him off when Bruce gets back DC!!!! Let him keep the cowl.

I'm enjoying this arc through the JLA/JSA books and I'm enjoying the writing and the art. However it isn't perfect in any of these respects (some panels look less good than others and some bits of dialog seem off). I'm more of a JLA fan than a JSA fan but I do enjoy this book. I just hope that at the end of the story both books can go on to more contained and consistent stories/writing/artwork as you sugest. And if you think the JSA is in need of establishing itself again then the JLA is most definitely in need of it.

I just hope that we can get a solid fixed team of heroes together. Batman, Donna Troy, Congorilla and Starman are great and i was loving their interactions before this arc started. What I'm looking forward to now is having Supergirl and (hopefully) Kyle Rayner added to that mix as a proper team.

Still, I agree with the review although I might be tempted to give it a 4 rather than a 3.5.

Great news. Go is one of the very best stories I have ever read in comics and easily one of the most emotional, gripping and beautifully written origin stories.

….. One big Question though. Will we be getting a Question Second feature in the main book? Rucka is the only one who ever gave a damn about the character and treated her well.

Bring her back for a second feature in this(with a writer who understands her) and this is the BEST comic to be coming out in the future.

I NEED my Question fix. What happened to her since she and Huntress took on Vandal Savage? where will it lead?

Can't wait for this book. It will be superb.
