Has it never occured to you that by copying and replying to his comment you are in fact exposing more people to his comment. I never would have seen it if you never replied to it. Dumbass

@sasquatch888:

Its called "character development". The xmen didnt get "so many great" villains overnight all at the same time.

How crazy would it be if they made the FF out to be Inhumans and that the "cosmic ray" that gave them their powers was just a form of Terrigen? Personally Id be ok with the idea that the xmen and ff were just different teams made up of inhumans. I like the idea of there being a streamlined reason for superpowered individuals in the MCU. Now Im not saying every superpowered person in the MCU should be an Inhuman, but to me it makes sense in the case of mutants.

@mprawrr:

As someone who watched the entire first season who loves Batman I can safely say I hate this show. Its completely pointless and directionless with no overarching story other than throwing characters at us and saying "hey this guy is going to be one of batman's villains, isnt that neat?". Not to mention the show takes a bat and beats you over the head with the references. I know Nygma is the Riddler, they dont need to say the words "riddle or cryptic" everytime hes on screen (not to mention Dolmacher, i mean really?). The show should have been about the mythos of Gotham and how it was a hopeless, hell hole before Batman's arrival with a focus on Gordon and the GCPD. Instead it devolved into just throwing us "villains before they were villains" at us without any rhyme or reason.

Pretty excited by this, however Im not loving the fact that they went back to Daredevil's "reversed" look. Never a big fan of that design.

My ideal Superman game would take some cues from the "Arkham" Batman game in terms of encountering villains and getting more powerful as the game goes along.

Brainiac would be the main villian in the game, teaming up along with Luthor. In the opening of the game Brainiac would have found a way to temporarily turn Earth's sun into a Red one. As a result Superman loses his powers and becomes helpless. Luthor would then attack Superman and leave him for dead. Then Brainiac and Luthor begin work on their master plan to take over the world. All the while, the rest of Superman's rogues gallery use this time to run a muck over Metropolis and wreak havok.

However, the change to Earth's sun wouldnt be permanent and when Superman does finally recover enough to start fighting back the sun begins reverting back to its yellow state slowly but surely, so Superman begins gaining some of his abilities back starting with super strength. Also, since Superman wouldnt be invulnerable this gives a logical reason for how the player of the game can be beaten and "lose".

Over the course of the story of the game, as the sun reverts back to normal, Superman gains more and more of his powers back. This gives a sense of Superman actually being vulnerable as well as an interesting gameplay mechanic as the boss fights restrict you to the certain set of powers you have at the time. So you can actually "feel" more and more powerful as the game goes on.

The story of the villains would be that Brainiac and Luthor must complete their "ultimate" plan before Superman regains his full abilities. Of course they use the other Superman rogues (Metallo, Bizarro, Parasite, etc.) to try to stop him while he is still depowered.

As far as Brainiac's and Luthor's master plan, I would think the whole "taking over the world" plan is too big for just two guys especially with all the superheroes living in it. So as a result they need an army to help them take over. Luckily for them there is a go to place for a whole armies worth of super powered beings that hate Superman....The Phantom Zone. Their plan would be to unleash Zod and the other Phantom Zone criminals to help them take over Earth at the exact moment that the Sun reverts back to its normal yellow color in order to power up Zod and his cohorts.

So the story of the game would be a race against time. Superman must stop Brainiac and Luthor before they are able to open up the phantom zone unleashing an army of super powered villains upon Metropolis. The finale of the game would see Superman shutting down the opening of the Phantom Zone but not before Zod manages to get out. The final boss battle would be a fully powered Superman going against a fully powered Zod in a battle of the kryptonians.

I always considered Brainiac, Luthor, and Zod to be the "Big Three" of Superman villains so seeing them work together would be an awesome experience seeing as each brings their own ideals and hatred for Superman together. Brainiac provides the tech and the brains, Luthor brings the financial backing, and Zod ultimately brings the muscle for the group.

An alternative way to read comics is to do what I do, wait for the collected editions. Most story arcs are told in about 5-6 issues of a book. Eventually those issues will all be collected in a hardcover/paperback book. I like doing it for the convenience, its nicer for me to have a book than to have to store comics in the big white boxes. The only downside to trade waiting is the actual waiting part since you have to wait for all the issues to come out first and then be collected.
