You're the one reducing women to their body parts. See it's not an either/or, all or nothing proposition. Part of the beauty of women is they can be thoughtful, respectable and stacked as all hell at the same damn time.

Just because they're sexy it doesn't mean they have no other value, that's the judgemental conclusion that you're jumping to.

Most of us already know that people have layers and not to judge a book by it's cover. That's something you haven't seemed to realize yet.

If they don't use Cheetah as the anti hero that she should be, then i'd like this Diana's brother to be the anti-hero at least for some time, that couñd lead to great character development for both and bring more versatility to Diana's main cast. Could you make anti hero option in the poll?.

I thought of that but didn't want to muddy the water with a third option. Anyway anti-hero is the path they've chosen for Donna and I don't know if they'd have two in the same family.

I stomached it for the first film, thinking that he'd have more time to grow. But then I saw the travesty that was BVS and completely gave up. This argument of, 'he's going to be the true superman in x amount of films' is doing my head in because if he isn't superman now, he never will be. It's a shame because Cavil can pull of Superman with ease.

Maybe if he got a hair transplant, I was distracted by his thin spots in BvS. He needs some antidepressant drugs too, cause he was a mopey downer.

I like it, that's where she belonged from the beginning.

So not only does Diana still have the most unoriginal origin of being Hercules ver. 4534635, but she also has a brother. If that's DCs version of embracing her and the Amazonian "legacy" of being embodiment of female power then I'm not nearly as excited to her rebirth stories as I was.

What the hell is a brother supposed to do for her character? Make her realize guys are pretty cool? She's got Steve, Bruce, Clark, et al for that.

How does having a brother take away from her female empowerment? She already has several brothers. Hercules, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hermes etc etc. I think this is an original idea that could explore the dynamic of Diana having a closer sibling. And Hercules was half human, Diana is half Amazon. Much better than the clay origin.

Diana was intended to be a wholly female construct, that was created without men. The New 52 origin ruined that. Now they're doubling down on it and making it even worse. The New 52 origin took away her uniqueness, by making her one out of hundreds of bastard siblings. Now she's even less unique, because she had a brother in the womb with her. Whatever power she inherited from her parents, he now shares. All this weakens her by watering down her concept and flies in the face of what she was created to be.

Twenty years ago it appeared, and it's not that bad. It's a pretty picture, with NO nudity, unlike that bootleg pic of Nightwing you posted. All you seem to see is booty, but look at Artemis and her hair, the tree, the perfectly rendered faces or the ruffles of Diana's tunic, there's a lot there to like beyond what you see as oversexualized. If you got your mind out the gutter you might notice.

Honestly I think the problem lies with you and not Mike Deodato.

that's like saying the Blacksploitation films of the 1970s didn't propagate negative stereotypes of African Americans. Being a mindless robot who readily accepts what you are told to doesn't make you right it makes you stupid. Sitting around saying it's fine to show booty (mind you it's booty pointed straight in the air with a transparent piece of cloth dangling in her crotch) is just a way of accepting that you, as a woman, are worth nothing more than your physical beauty. Deodato's art is pretty, it's technically well done, but it's also a statement about horny little boys and the girls who buy into the BS that being sexy is the most desirable thing about them.

Really? You're going to come back at me with Blaxploitaion like basing your pitiful argument on my race was the only thing I could understand? You're really pathetic. I saw your post days ago but didn't want to address it, because I couldn't believe you'd reach for such low hanging fruit. I thought you were better than that, but obviously you're not. Your last post was indicative of the fact you let your myopic world view negatively color your opinion on topics you know nothing about.

Let the record show that generally Black people LOVE Blaxploitation movies and see them as harmless wish fulfillment, where WE get to be the hero and vanquish the bad guys and the injustices they create, despite you seeing them as perpetuating negative stereotypes. They're not for you, they're for US. So your misguided judgement is unwarranted, unwanted and as wrong as two left shoes. You're just illustrating how clueless you are on this and the subject of cheesecake in comicbooks.

Because YOU dislike something, it doesn't make it "trash", or prurient, or distasteful to others. It's only your personal opinion, and like a heart, everyone has one and it may beat on a higher echelon than yours. I'm a good Baptist and I see nothing wrong with Mike Deodato's art, no matter how much that makes you mad. You're obviously mistaken, as well as prudish, so again your PERSONAL OPINION means as much to me as the dirt under my Timberlands, I just brush it off and keep it moving. You're as irrelevant to me as your confused observations.

I want to trust Rucka, but it's clear DC doesn't get the draw of Wonder Woman and they're grasping at straws to fix what isn't broken. All most of us really want is for her rogue's gallery to be restored and revamped, her various supporting characters brought back into the fold, a sense of continuity and a strong focus on what makes her great and different from other heroines. The last thing we wanted was a new version of the Wonder Twins, but it could be interesting if done correctly. Hopefully he'll be her Jason Todd and not a knockoff Wonder Man.
