"She's a maniac, maniac for love" tapping her foot against the edge of the wall, Sara listens to the birds around her, the sun setting and the wind raging over the rooftops. "An she'll somethnig something.. never had so more" sunlight streaks across the edges of the windows as the darkness begins to drop itself like a warm blanket over the cold city.
Jumping down off the roof, she lands hard on the pavement, startling a homeless man "not to worry guv" she snapped her knees back into place and reached down to adjust her pants. "All better" stepping out of the alleyway she slips her tinted glasses over her blank eyes and makes her way to the rendezvous point.
Scorn pushed his dark sunglasses up on his nose, a cigarette resting between his lips. His specialized skin took in the environment around him, the city pollution threatening to stifle his pores. "Welcome back to this sh*thole." The sound of birds chirping in the dimming light pierced his ears, his teeth sinking into his smoke with a rolled up lip. "It's loud, it's smelly…" he drew the cig from his mouth to release a stream of curling smoke from his mouth. "It's damn bright all the time. And I'm not living in a darkened, secluded hole. I am an idiot. Not even a well-paid idiot." He flicked the butt to the ground to grind it beneath his boot. He arched a brow as he saw a figure jump from a building, landing with something less than grace as she set her shattered legs back in place. He strolled up with a smirk. "Hey, gurrrrl." The amphibians words dripped with sarcasm at the ridiculous greeting. "Did it hurt… when you fell from heaven?" He laughed. "Never thought that dumbass line could ever have any actual relevance. Rhetorical anyway. I can say for sure, it f*cking hurts."
