  • Secretly worries that people think he's trying to hard to be a badass.
  • Has a lot of emotional hangups he will not discuss.

@canuck: The carefree gaze was not repaid by the dark-haired visitor, his nose twitching. "Yeah, it's the f*cking afternoon by now… bud. I'm not hauling my ass up to the frigid north before the sun's warm." The amphibian shivered. He reached into a belt pocket and pulled out a folded page which he promptly unfolded and pinned to the counter with a black claw. "Hear you need a handy-man mechanic for this dump. Might be able to help you out." His brows arched over his black eyes.

@canuck: Scorn dropped the butt of his cigarette, grinding it into the ground with his toe before stepping inside the shop. His secondary lids flicked over his black sclera as his eyes took in the assortments of items available. He leaned himself against the counter and rang a service bell, his pale lips pursed together, a bleak expression offering little to hint at his emotional state. His refined nose wrinkled as he was quite certain he detected traces of marijuana in the air. Black claws tapped impatiently.

Scorn knocked on the door to Evelyn Queen's refurbished warehouse. He rested his hands on his hips, looking around behind dark lenses. He hated this place. But he was being well-paid. And deep down, he was glad to be able to help Xia, a girl he considered something of a niece. The door clicked and opened, the long and curvaceous Queen Cobra draped in black silk with diamond cutouts exposing her scaly skin. Her lips curled into a fanged smile. "Ssscorn. Come in, love." She pulled the door open to allow the amphibian mutate to entre. "What bringsss you here?"

"Heh." He shrugged his shoulders and walked inside dressed in a sleek, black body suit specially designed to be breathable for his dermal respiration. "Actually, I'm here for Xia. Is she around?"

Eve closed and locked the door, leaning back against it as she answered. "Not currently. Maybe ssshe'll be sssoon if you'd like to have a drink and wait." She stepped up to him, her golden heels tapping on the polished concrete floor until the sound was stifled by a rug. A gloved hand slid over his back, shoulder to shoulder. "Make yourssself comfortable."

Scorn tightened his jaw at the touch, her pheromones teasing his hypersensitivity. "Um. Sure."

"Let me fixsss you sssomething. Whissskey fine?" Her hips swayed as she sauntered toward the minibar to fix him a drink."Have a ssseat."

The amphibian dropped down onto a buttoned leather couch, tapping the arm with his clawed fingers, kicking his open-soled boots up onto the coffee table. The Queen of Diamonds glided forward, extending the drink toward him which he took. "Thanks."

"What'sss with the sssunglasssssesss, Ssscorn?" She stooped to tug them off.

His hand shot up to grab her wrists. "Ah, no. These things help dampen the effects of those eyes of yours. I'm not getting caught with my pants down..." he winced and cleared his throat, avoiding eye contact, "really poor choice of words." He quick took a gulp of the whiskey, letting the scent of the alcohol fill his nostrils to ward off her intoxicating scent.

"Ssso rude. Why are you ssso mean to me?" Her tongue flicked as she leaned in closer to his face, her gloved hand settling on the arm of the couch.

He let out a wry laugh his lips curling into a sharp-toothed grin. "You want a list?" His mind was already calculating the proximity and number of motions it would take to disable her. Her speed if not agility was greater than his own. The amphibian needed her in just the right position. He needed her to feel over-confident. The serpentine femme fatale grabbed his glasses away from his face with blinding speed. Scorn's face jerked to the side, his black eyes fixed on a distant wall, palm gripping his drink. Her gloved fingers pulled his face toward hers. "Nope." He splashed the remaining whiskey in her face, the alcohol burning her eyes while he leapt over the edge of the couch away from her. Cobra hissed and tore off her gloves, the skin on her face turning into a sickly pale, her eyes glazing over.

"Not niccce, Ssscorn." Her long, gold painted nails dug into the loose skin on her face and pulled it off, her complexion and eyes rejuvenated after the attack.

"Yeah, well... didn't bring my anti-rape pepper spray."

Cobra shook her head as she stared at him with her vibrant, yellow eyes. "We are mutated freaksss. No one will underssstand usss like we do each other, love. That's why you never killed me after all this time."

"Eh." He shrugged. "No one has ever offered to pay me to kill you."

"That'sss cold, Ssscorn." Eve turned away in apparent dejection before hurling back around, leaping over the couch to catch him by the throat, and pin him to a concrete pillar. Scorn writhed as he felt the subtle burning sting of her poisonous touch, his body quickly fighting the toxin. His black eyes widened as she stared down at him. "Ssshhh. Be calm." Her voice was low and rhythmic, the steady flow of words working in tandem with her bright eyes and potent pheromones to keep even strong men entranced by her hypnotic prowess. His muscles relaxed as she continued. "You know you'll alwaysss be ssspecccial to me. I like everything about you. Your pointy, little earsss..." a nail grazed the edge of his ear, "thossse beady, black eyesss and sssharp teeth. I even like how you're ssshorter than me. How many women sssay that?" Eve pressed in against him to let her forked tongue slither in his ear as she whispered. "I love how hard you resssissst dessspite being ssso sssuggessstible." She teased a fang against his lobe. "How much fun we could have together..." She gave a low chuckle as she felt his heart thumping in his chest. It amused her that she couldn't be sure whether it was fear or desire.

"S-s-stop playing these games with me, Cobra." His hands shook at his sides.

"Gamesss? Oh, I'm very ssseriousss..." She looked at him hungrily. "You want me." It was as much of a hypnotic suggestion as it was a truth, in her mind at least. Her lips pressed in against his, Scorn's body tightening from the intensity of the poison trying to paralyze him, the pain tingling in his hypersensitive skin, her mouth stifling his inevitable moan whether it be from pain, pleasure, surprise, or loathing.

Seemingly in answer, his right arm snaked around her slender waist and shifted her position so she was against the pillar. He broke away with a pant. "Y-yeah. I... want you..." His left hand rested on her supple hip as he pressed in for another kiss. Pulling away from her entirely, there was a crackle as he tased her with a tremendous voltage from his gauntlet. He wiped off his mouth of the burning poison, his dark eyes gleaming in the dim light. "I want you to leave me the f*ck alone." He inhaled deeply through his nose having been relying on his dermal breathing for the duration of the meeting. His translucent lids flicked back off his black eyes as he began to tie her up, taking care to cover her troublesome eyes for when she awoke. "This is for hypnotizing me and handing me over to that albino psycho, Eve. Never did properly thank you. We'll never be even for that." He flipped out his phone and dialed Xia. "I want the rest of my money now, Xi. You sure the cops will be able to handle this one? Anyway, I'll drop the snake off. Glad this is over... for now." He hung up and looked down at her still form and shivered. As hardened as he tried to be, he couldn't ever bring himself to kill the wretch. They were too much alike.

'Is he still harking on about his stupid ex girlfriend?' she turned her pale eyes on the bartender, 'I told you it ain't gonna happen' turning back to Scorn she pushed his arm, getting up off the seat she pointed to a corner table and picked up her cane, tapping it on the ground as she held his arm, waving back at Tomas 'Two more' she slid into the cracked vinyl and pulled him in.

'The job is a little bigger than that, and a lot more interesting' she nodded at a scowling Tomas who slipped the drinks to them both 'Don't be mad Tomas, I told you, she's just not that into you' he glared at her more and stormed off with a growl.

Turning back to her friend she sipped the drink in front of her, this time a clear liquid 'I've been asked to help rob the Gotham bank' she grinned at him, her dead eyes crinkling, showing the scars around her face. 'It's an easy shot, fully funded by a top ranking Gotham boss, and guess what, we get to keep all da mula' she sipped her drink again, wiping her mouth 'only catch is, we have to make A LOT of noise when we do it, and get out without getting caught, so who else would I look to?'

Scorn smiled wryly as she interrupted the tiresome conversation. "Interesting? That's what I like to hear. Almost as much as lucrative." He stepped toward the table with her on his arm and drew out a chair for Sara before sitting himself down at the suggested table. He took a gulp of his vodka, the potent liquid not having much affect on the mutate. "Keep the money?" His black brow arched. "Sounds like we're being a distraction at best, set up at worst. But heh. I'm game. When's this shindig supposed to go down?"

@_mistress_redhead_: "Hmmm…" Scorn scanned the barkeep with his black eyes. "I'm hearing free or at least reduced price drinks from this deal." He gave a dastardly smirk before continuing to listen to his request. He shook his head with some amount of condescension. "Always a girl." The amphibian pinched the edge of his nose. "Okay, here's the thing. I can kill this guy for you, but once it's done, there's no going back. Literally signed in blood. So, as a meddlesome professional courtesy, I'mma explain something. Take it with a grain of salt. I have a twin sister, but I've never been successful with romance myself." He placed a hand to his chest in the moment of honesty before sucking down the remaining vodka in his glass, an index finger raising toward the man. "Obviously, she won't find out it was you that put out the hit. Doesn't mean her mind won't wander to that conclusion. Besides, if she run off with this guy, who's to say she won't do it again? Sure, she MIGHT come running back into your waiting arms. Or she could hate you for eternity and find some other d*ck. This would be a good plug for a certain psychiatrist I know, but I'd rather be the one getting paid. Got the deets on this guy? Or have I thoroughly ruined your appetite for bloodshed?"

@_mistress_redhead_: Scorn chuckled. "Messed up pavement might give some sad sack a job in this piss poor economy." The amphibious mutate sauntered into the bar with the redhead, drawing the dark shades from his face to slip onto his belt, his solid black eyes visible. He dropped down onto a stool next to her. "Job you say? Hmmm." His brow arched with interest, his secondary transparent lids flicking over his sclera and back. He grabbed the glass in his clawed hands and took a gulp with a shrug. "So, whatcha got, red?"

(No problem. Internet is great for asynchronous communication.)
