It works better if you don't go in with something super specific in mind, and you just be random. Also, if you don't start off with fancy "pinups" (poster-like art, or grandiose portraits), and you practice the little things like faces extensively, then pieces like that Gambit one will turn out better.

Also, what helped me is seeing what sort of techniques other artists use for little details, like hands, or the contours of a characters face. I'm very inspired by Bruce Timm, Kevin Maguire, and others.

I did forget to mention though, that the fights are simply the best animated fights I have ever seen. Period.

Superman Returns was far from a travesty. I quite liked it.

I saw Superman Doomsday at Comic-Con, and it was pretty good. It wasn't superb, and of course didn't live up to the JLU, but it was pretty good.

They shouldn't. I'd rather see Man of Steel.

This whole project screams "fail" to me. They should wait until Man of Steel finishes, and use Routh for Superman. Because at the moment, it looks like MoS and JLA would start shooting at around the same time.

And regarding Bale, I just couldn't see that version of Batman in a big sci-fi epic. He's too realistic, and as of Batman Begins, just doesn't have the same kind of resources that JLA Batman would have. With him, I just wouldn't be able to suspend my disbelief that he could realistically contribute anything.

Also, while I love the OMAC Project, I just can't see them using that as a launch point for the JLA. Not to mention, the first GL and Flash they are apparently using are John Stewart and Barry Allen. That just doesn't seem right.

In all actuality, this doesn't scream "fail" to me, it has "fake" written all over it.
