Ok, I've been wanting to come up with a good Grodd battle for sometime, and I have a really hard time getting a handle on exactly what the extent of his powers are, because while the basics of his powers change little, the extent of them seems to shift drastically depending on the writer.  So I thought I'd give this a try.  Both are very powerful telepaths, and while I would say that Grodd's a better fighter by far, Emma can be a very real physical threat in her diamond form, and I'm not comfortable enough stating how extensive Grodd's physical abilities are that he'd be able to hurt her in her diamond form.

So here's my Scenario: They are fighting for control of the Hellfire club after each has either dominated or allied about half of the important members and personal security force.  So they have amble people to mind control as their personal weapons.  No other mutant or powered members are present and they fight in the club after tensions have been building for a week.

So who do you think wins? Please state why cause I'm trying to get a better handle on what these characters are capable of.  Thanks!

Well There's always Archangel Michael who already kicked him out of Heaven.  Though he's generally a character that most comics tap dance around portraying I'm pretty sure he's shown up somewhere though :P

Honestly, If I were to do this fight, I would see Deathstroke taking on Beast, and Bane taking on Cap.  I think Deathstroke taking down Beast is a safe assumption and, I have never seen anything to suggest to me that Bane can't hold his own against Cap.  Sure maybe he can't beat him (at least not without sufficient prep time) but I don't see any reason he couldn't make the fight last long enough for Deathstroke to finish off Beast and then double team Cap.

I think Cap and Beasts best bet in this fight, honestly is their history of team work.  Chances are both Bane and Deathstroke would want to be the one to throw down with Cap.

My favorite fight ever will always be The Champion vs. Thing in Marvel Two In One Annual #7.

It's completely goofy, and yet, undeniably awesome at the same time, and it illustrates perfectly why Ben is my favorite of the Marvel Strongmen.

Its easy to be the flavor of the month 'unstoppable power house."  It's a lot tougher to be the guy that is always getting his ass kicked so they can establish a new character as the next 'big thing' and keep pulling yourself back up by your boot straps and returning to the good fight!

Personally I think Off-Venom Bane has a /much/ better chance of taking this fight that On-Venom Bane.  Using Venom he's just gonna loose his cool and start trying to match her blow for blow, Off-Venom with full use of his faculties I think there's a very real danger of him getting inside Cassandra's head psychologically and really messing with Cass and break her focus.

This isn't an easy fight for Bane by any stretch of the Imagination, probably even harder than Azrael who he has alot of trouble bringing down, but I think if he fights defensively and calls on that twisted through a glass darkly logic that he's very good at, and is able to keep in the fight long enough to mess with Cassandra's mind, I think this could be a very good fight and one he could even take.

In someways Bane could understand Cassandra in ways noone else could (they both took their first life at about the same age for instance) I think could make Off-Venom Bane very dangerous unless Cassandra pulls off a one shot or very quick K.O.

I'm sorry I like Captain Picard as much as the next guy.... but I can't in good conscious concede that he could make it past Coco B. Ware without some sort of proof.

And so far Google and Youtube have failed to provide me with that.

Now.. if he could tag in Jonathan Frakes.... maybe.

1.) Thing
2. -8.) Maddrox the Multiple Man

Ok so there's no way I'm winning this but I'm thinking... if I take a team that won't plan /at all/ maybe it'll confound and confuse my foes!

Speaking as to Selene's age, I always thought she was like 'half-demon' or something like that rather than a true Mutant.

That said while I'd lean towards Selene in this fight.

Am I a bad person for hoping that the eventual throw down involves a wadding pool and copious amounts of lime jello?

Yeah, I just don't see how Venom wins this to be honest.  Sure now if we're talking can Thing chase Venom across the city and catch him? No freaking way, but Venom jumping Ben in a mansion with intent on killing him.... I just don't see that happening.

Someone cited that Venom is as strong and as durable as the Thing,  but while he may be stronger and more durable than Spidey, I've never seen anything to suggest Venom is on Ben's league in either category.  Add to that that while Venom may be much faster, I think most people would agree Thing is a much more skilled fighter I think he takes this pretty cleanly.
