ComicVine tunnel-vision?

Maybe it's me, and I'm not say it's not me because it certainly has been me before, but do G-Man and Babs JUST cover the HEAVIES from DC and Marvel??  Batman, Avengers, X-Men, Justice League all seem to get lotsa face time with them and the site.  What about the smaller companies and small titles??  There is a whole company called Image and another called Dark Horse just to name a few of the "little guys." That's not even mentioning the 8 million micro companies that put out passable/good/great material on a regular basis.  C'mon now!

Babylon 5

Re-watching season 1 of Babylon 5.  It's a little uneven but I'm amazed at how many little things Straczynski put in that are important later on.  This show is amazing!!!!

Jeez... the wiki...

The moderators work HARD on keeping the wiki in good condition but I've seen a number of things swiped right from wikipedia.  Most recently, Chris Bachalo's bio ( with the exception of what i added about his television appearance) is word for word from Bachalo's site.  Whatever user submitted that originally was a lazy ass!

Wonder Woman's outfit

Hilarious that a number of Viners are moaning about Wonder Woman's new costume (but they prefer the photoshopped version with the swimsuit bottom and halter-top) AFTER agreeing with G-man's article about how comic heroines outfits are a bit too skimpy.  LOL

Nostalgia: Favorite Comic Shop

Anybody have a favorite comic shop they'd like to share?

My favorite is still my first shop, the one I found in high school.  I had been in comic shops before, but I had been too young to appreciate them.  I remember walking into Comics Plus for the first time with my buddy during our lunch break.  I opened the door, escaping from the blinding sunlight reflecting off the street in high summer.  The shop was like a cave; dark, cool (almost cold), and full of comics.  The windows were heavily tinted, the walls were filled with the newest issues proudly displaying their covers, the ceiling was nothing but tacked up comic posters, and in the center were boxers and boxes of back issues in alphabetical order.  Every comic I looked at truly amazed me with its pure beauty.  I came back again and again and again.  After a couple years, it expanded and added a couple of arcade machines (helping to keep me there even longer).  I skipped college classes to go there sometimes and on new comics day, I dragged whoever I was with to it.  Over the years, it changed its name and then its location and then moved a second time.  I moved a few times too.  Eventually, the day came for me to move out of town.  I think my friend told me that shop closed down a few years back.  I miss that place.
