I'm just not a fan of Mr. Romos' artwork. I'm sure he's a great guy, and there are a few of his Spidey pics that I do like, but I just don't like reading his issues. It's just my opinion, but with reading Spidey for over 40 years, I can like who and what I like. B-) His art work just rips me out of the Story, cause half the time I can't tell what it is I'm looking at. I really do like the whole Superior Spidey storyline, but just not too much when Ramos draws the issues. It is a matter of taste, and I'll still read the issues (hell, I'm a full fledged Spidey-aholic) but I really wish Marvel would have a better artist do the issues that they have Ramos do. Usually artists grow on me, but Ramos' work just hasn't grown on me that much. No hard feelings Mr. Ramos, but this is just my opinion.

I've come to enjoy my iPad 3 that my son gave me, and the just too damn easy way to get comics instantly. Been reading comics since I could read (around 1970?) and Have more comics than I can shake a stick at. I do love the floppies, and the tpbs and Hard cover collections, but reading new and older issues on my iPad is just amazing. So I'm a fan of both. I'll always buy floppies/tpbs etc... of my Spidey comics, but with all else, I'm enjoying the whole digital age thing.

Throught my mind right now... Just read the newest issue of Ultimate Spider-Man... so been thinking about that issue. It was good. Ok, that and the chronic pain I live in... comics (and pain meds) are my only true escape. Oh, and I want some gummy bears, but don't have any.

That is all.

Yeah, I remember pre-ordering this series back when the issues were coming out. It was a great read, and the art was amazing...as were the covers. Don't think I've ever re-read it since it first came out, issue by issue... but I kind of also recall a second series like it called, behind the camera eye... or something like that. That had the main guy (Phil?) in it as well. Just great story telling and art, in an amazing Comic series. Highly recommend. May have to dig out the old issues and re-read them again. Great article.

edit: I just looked it up, and the sequel to Marvels is called Marvels: Eye of the Camera. I know I bought those issues as well, but don't remember much of the story. Have to dig em up and re-read them again. Been many years.
