I totally understand about Gwen. She didn't really have too much going for her at the time (I actually prefer her as Spider-Gwen these days).
Agreed about Jean. :( I feel like I'm in the minority who loves her and Emma as characters. At the same time, though, I like how how Jean became more powerful with the Phoenix Force. Granted, it's been so overdone since. XD
I actually don't think I've read Daredevil Born. Who wrote that arc? :O
Ah, man. Totally forgot about Death of Spider-Man and V. Both are indeed good.
Funny enough, I first read V over a decade ago, but didn't see the movie until a few months ago, haha.
Very nice additions you have, though. :) I agree with you about Lobdell. Him, Claremont, and Morrison's runs on X-Men I love.
I don't really agree with The Night Gwen Stacy died. She was a two-dimensional silver aged character. The story didn't really provoke emotion for her, but it did provoke emotion for Spider-Man. It made you feel sympathetic for his loss. Now that I think about it, maybe it should be here. Lol
Dark Phoenix Saga was amazing. It provoked emotion from all sides, because Jean Grey was a established three-dimensional bronze age character at the time. You also felt bad for all of the X-Men, because they all lost a friend, a sister, or a lover.
Daredevil Born again was a amazing story, especially if you're already a Daredevil fan.
Watchmen was good. It had its moments.
I didn't find The Killing Joke or Days of Future Past to be emotional. They were stories that I read and thought to myself; "that's kind of sad."
Other emotional stories that are not on your list.
X-Men: Lifedeath. It's a great story by Chris Claremont that involves Storm and Forge.
Wolverine by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. The story itself is sad, but the ending is kind of happy. The following up story, Wolverine's Wedding, is also sad.
Ultimate Spider-Man: Death of Spider-Man. If you're a fan of Ultimate Spider-Man going into this, it will hit you in the feeliez.
Punisher: Widowmaker. Punisher MAX might not be for everyone. It is kind of gory. But if you read the series up to the Widowmaker story-arc, you will find a tear jerker. The inner monologue at the end of the story arc got me a little choked up.
V for Vendetta. Good stand alone story.
There was also Scott Lobdell's X-Men run. He had a lot of emotional stories, but since it was in the 90s, there is not really a good jumping on point and lots of crossovers. You would probably also have to read X-Men vol 2 with it to understand everything. Not sure if it's worth recommending.
There is probably also a handful of emotional stories that I have read but can't think of right now.
The saddest comic I ever read was Spider-Man: Blue. I actually got pretty choked up reading it, particularly at the end. All Star Superman is also pretty emotional.
I don't think I've read Spider-Man: Blue! 0.0 I'll have to read it since I love emotional stories. I haven't updated this list in awhile but should add Winter Soldier. Still bummed out that it got canned but the ending was bittersweet. Awesome icon by the way! =O

@Samimista: I know! It's sneaking up on me, too. I forgot all about buying the candy until I was walking through the store today and say the Easter Candy. Then it hit me; "I gotta get the kids their Easter Candy!" I probably need to pick up a new Easter basket, too. I'd better check.
@PowerHerc: Ah anytime. =D I usually look forward to the candy myself (almost 17) but my Easter Bunny *cough* mom *cough* it's eat before Easter so usually we get cheaper candy that she buys of the day Easter. XD Surprised it's so soon though. =O Almost forgot about the holiday.

@lykopis: Hehehe! Awesomesauce like a boss! xD I love Jean. If only she came back written well. I admit, while Dark Phoenix saga I love I hope if she rises from the dead again they'll focus on her being Marvel Girl rather than Phoenix. Nowadays every writer uses Phoenix.
