He is very forward, which sometimes leads him to trouble, but he will never intentionally hurt someone's feelings. Everything he says is not meant to be offensive, but will often sound like it is. When fighting however, he becomes cold, quiet, and very focused. This is due to his childhood, he had to be tough and on edge.
Sam can talk about almost anything, but asking him about his family will cause him to lose his good mood, he becomes depressed, and sometimes violent.
BIO:
Sam Clifford was born into a family of four. His mother (Christine) and father (John) were happily married, and his older sister (Mary) would always look out for him, no matter what. He had a hard time at school, he was overly kind, and very selfless. Because of his nice nature, kids took advantage of it, and often picked on him or beat him up during recess. His father was a hard worker at a local auto body shop, but was able to balance work and time with his family very well. On weekends, Sam and his father would head into the woods behind their house, where John would teach him how to use a Bow and Arrow. Sam had become very adept with the Bow and Arrow, and at age 12, his father bought him a blue bow for his birthday. It had Sam's initials carved into it, this would turn out to be the bow that Sam uses for his whole career.
1 year later, Sam's family started to run into money problems. Christine was laid off from her job at the local convenience store, and John's hours were cut back, due to the economy being in bad shape. When things seemed like it couldn't get worse, Mary got sick. She had a seizure one day at school, due to the stress at home, she had developed terrible epilepsy. Her parents could not afford to pay for the medication, so John began to gamble. He got into trouble with a local loan shark, because he couldn't pay back his debt. One night, when Sam was 14, thugs broke into the house, and beat his mother and sister. When John tried to stop them, he was shot in the chest. Sam was in his room when he heard the screams. He grabbed his bow, and waited behind his desk. The door opened, and he shot two of the thugs between the eyes. The third one was able to restrain Sam, and knocked him out with the butt of his pistol. Sam woke up in a dark room, with a man sitting across from him, smoking a cigarette. The man smoking the cigarette revealed his name, rather, his “nickname”, Flint. Flint was a crime lord, his gang’s income came from drugs, robbery, and the kidnapping and sales of children. Sam stayed with these people for 3 years, being beaten, sexually abused, and emotionally degraded. At age 17, Sam was sold to a man from France, Jon. this man would teach Sam that not all stories have a bad ending, Jon Ferrero was a very wealthy man, owner of the multi-billion dollar company “high-tech”. Here Sam would work as personal Bodyguard for Jon, Sam was taught various martial arts, specifically Krav Maga. Sam in his spare time would work out in the gym, he became an excellent gymnast in his 4 year stay with Jon. Sam had lost his family at age 14, Jon filled this hole in Sam’s heart. One night, on Sam’s watch, Jon was killed in a car chase. Sam felt powerless in the car, he had no gun, no bow, and he could do nothing but sit in the car. They crashed, and Sam was thrown from the vehicle before it went into the water. Sam watched the car go under, and no one came back up. Sam swore vengeance on the people that killed Jon. Upon returning to Jon’s mansion, he went into the study and noticed a light under the book case. He opened the door, and found a laboratory. Sam investigated, and found a room that was all white, and had two metal bars sticking up from the ground. Sam grabbed them, and was electrocuted. When Sam woke up, He was unharmed. Leaving the room, he let out a burst of electricity when grabbing a metal door handle. Sam now had superhuman powers.
