  • The origins of The Demon, like those of many a character, are no longer the accepted beginnings in the comic book world and have long since been retconned, thus making his current story that of two beings that would become one...Etrigan and Jason Blood. The Demon's creator, Merlin, was hard at work defending Camelot from the evils of Morgaine le Fey but when Jason Blood came to Morgaine's aid he found not reward from her, but punishment from Merlin. For his crimes he was involuntarily bonded with Etrigan, one of the most bloodthirsty and powerful demons of Hell, forced to contain its evil within himself, forever fighting it. It was hundreds of years later, in Merlin's tomb that Jason learned "the rhyme" that transformed him and it was there that the Demon gained its first enemy, Morgaine le Fey.

    "The Rhyme"

    Current

    Yarva Demonicus Etrigan.

Change, change the form of man.

    Free the prince forever damned.

Free the might from fleshy mire.

Boil the blood in heart of fire.

Gone, gone the form of man,

    Rise the demon Etrigan! ”

  • After a brief run with the Secret Six, Harley decided to call it quits, and joined the Metropolis branch of the Athenian Women's Shelter, which is secretly a training facility for future members of Granny Goodness's Female Furies. There she met up with Holly Robinson, former stand-in for Catwoman. The two have become friends, and are currently working under-cover for Queen Hippolyta, who is trying to discover the truth about the false Athena who is training "Amazons" on Themyscira.

On Apokolips, after Mary Marvel frees the imprisoned Gods that later grant her power, Harley demands that she and Holly get something too for everything they've done. Thalia is amused by Harley's feistiness and grants her a small portion of the cunning of Thalia, the Muse of Comedy, seemingly appropriate because of Harley's past. Harley Quinn’s costume is slightly more Greek like and she also gained a nice new hammer to go with her new super human abilities. It seems these abilities were a temporary gift, however, as she no longer possesses them.

  • The guy who is anybody

While Rex was in an Egyptian Pyramid he was exposed to radioactive meteorite that transformed him into Element Man.He became able to shape-shift and change into any element found in the human body, or any combination thereof. He died (actually became inert) attempting to help his fellow super friends make it safely when their satellite was destroyed.

  • son of a legend

With the real Superman back in action, the Kid relinquishes the rights to the name and symbol (which had been nailed down by Rex Leech during Superman's absence, and which Rex begrudgingly agrees to turn over to the real Man of Steel) and decided to leave Metropolis after finally accepting the name Superboy. It was decided that he would go on a world tour in order to establish himself in his new identity. He also went back to Cadmus and was told more about his origins--he was not in fact a direct clone of Superman's, but rather a human clone genetically engineered to look like Superman and mimic his major powers by way of tactile telekinesis. Despite Director Paul Westfields initial protests, Cadmus agreed to stop trying to bring him back to the Project--partially because of the publicity that would come with such a move--on the terms that a "chaperon" would go with him. Dubbilex is chosen for the role, in part because Westfield was trying to hide the fact he had sent Payback D.N.Aliens against the Kid earlier that day (and Westfield did not having a mind-reader around). The last thing he takes care of before leaving is moving out of his apartment, allowing Clark Kent to move in.

  • son of the greatest super hero of them all

After a battle with her new ninja Man-bats at an art gallery Talia kidnapped the English Prime-Minster's wife and left Damian with Batman so he would slow down his work. As a spoiled and violent child, Damian at first had no respect for his father, Robin, Alfred or his war on crime. He freed Alfred and told him to help Tim.

  • Son of a legend

Genis-Vell is the cloned son of Captain Marvel and Elysius. His growth was accelerated and false memories implanted so he would be old enough and mature enough to face his enemies quickly.

He was given the Nega-Bands of his father and took the name "Legacy," but it was some time before he gained true understanding of what it meant to be a hero. He began calling himself "Captain Marvel," which put him in conflict with , Monica Rambeau (Photon) but this was resolved when she decided to take the name "Photon."

In order to save the life of Rick Jones, he bonded with him at the molecular level very much in the same manner that is father before him had. Thus he and Rick would split time between Earth and the Negative Zone. That was until an encounter with a young girl who was losing control of her nigh-omnipotent abilities altered the nature of their dimensional/molecular link through the Nega-Bands which led to them now splitting their time between Earth and The Microverse rather than The Negative Zone.

Genis developed Cosmic Awareness, but this ability eventually drove him mad. He helped Entropy and Epiphany, the children of Eternity, destroy the universe, then helped re-create it. He had a son who grew up to far more powerful than him and an evil dictator in the far future. He resolved to kill his son in his Cipro, thus preventing him from ever growing into the evil, powerful dictator.

Genis later joined the New Thunderbolts, was killed by Atlas, healed by Baron Zemo, changed his name to "Photon" (and Monica Rambeau changed her name to "Pulsar"), then was killed again to save all of time-and-space.

  • This is not revenge this is PUNISHMENT

    Origin of the Skull

During Castle’s last tour of duty he was serving as a sniper. He was asked to hunt down a Viet Cong sniper known as “The Monkey”. The VC sniper wore a monkey’s skull around his neck for good luck. Castle ended up being captured, but during his escape he tied a dead Viet Cong to a tree and painted a white skull on his chest as a message to “The Monkey” that he was coming for him. He would use the white skull as his calling card during his hunt, and even painted one on his own chest. He ended up killing “The Monkey” in a sniper duel in the jungle.

What drove him over the edge

Frank, Maria and they’re two children Lisa and Frank Jr. went for a picnic in New York’s Central Park when they accidentally witnessed the execution of a Mafia informant who was hung by a tree. Without a second thought the Costa crime family enforcers gunned down Frank and his family for witnessing the murder. Frank was the only one to survive. Even though Castle could identify all the shooters, the police did nothing because of the corruption and ties to the Costa crime family.

Castle decided to take matters into his own hands and hunt down the people who brutally murdered his entire family. After avenging his family, Castle continued his quest against organized crime, and all criminals in general. He would soon start using the white skull symbol he used in Vietnam again as his symbol, and he started using the name “The Punisher”.

Thus began the one man war on crime that has since dominated his waking hours and every thought. Although the authorities label him a dangerous vigilante and mass-murderer, many in the police force view him as a hero, bringing criminals to justice in ways unattainable by law enforcement.

Of course most criminals consider him a lunatic and react with a mixture of complete disdain and/or utter fear.

Castle's methods often bring him into conflict with various Marvel Superheroes who disagree with him acting as a judge, jury, and executioner.

  • The powerful

In the first issue of New Avengers it is shown that Robert Reynolds is a prisoner in the Raft, a prison built specifically to house super-villains. He had voluntarily imprisoned himself for the murder of his wife, Lindy Reynolds. During a jailbreak at the Raft, Sentry turns and defends several of the Avengers from Carnage who had beaten several members to a standstill. He easily overpowered Carnage, flew him into the depths of space and tore him in two.

Taking a great interest in the now free Sentry, the Avengers begin investigating his dark persona. They soon realize that the Void is actually the result of a cerebral virus created by Mastermind who was under the direct employment of Crazed General, a villain from the original Sentry story arc. This virus damaged the Sentry's ability to remember any facts of his life, in a cry for help and an amazing show of power, Sentry transferred his memories into comic book writer Paul Jenkins, who transferred those memories into a popular comic book series. Emma Frost released Sentry from the bonds of his virus and he recalls much about his life including that he never actually killed his wife and that his Watchtower stood atop Stark Tower, where he had hidden it from public view subconsciously all along.

With his memory re-instated he joined with the Avengers and began fighting alongside them.

  • Though in the Teen Titans Animated Series the original one to use the persona of Red X was Robin (Dick Grayson, Nightwing) when he was trying to gain the confidence of Slade (Deathstroke the Terminator).

The suit was stolen and has now become a character whose gender, name and even species are completely unknown.

    The Red X

The character shares many similarities with Robin and though Red X fights the Teen Titans his motives seem to place him/her as an anti-hero.

  • Zod, Ursa, and Non headed over to Superman’s Fortress of Solitude and activated Jor-El's hologram, to look at the knowledge that was still available about Krypton. They stole the Phantom Zone projector gun and headed after Superman, attacking him at the Daily Planet. Zod and Non attacked Superman while Ursa went after Chris, revealing that he was their son. As Zod and Superman clashed, armies of space ships fell from the sky. Zod, who had released all the criminals from the Phantom Zone, then used the gun on Superman, trapping him in the Phantom Zone. As Superman struggled to break free from the Phantom Zone, eventually Mon-El would arrive to help guide Superman away from madness. Mon-El reminded Clark that he had been a student on Daxam who had been studying Krypton.

He had followed Clark to Earth but lost his memories. They had met each other during Clark’s childhood. Although he developed the same powers as Clark, he was not Kryptonian. He would be exposed to lead poisoning, and the only way to save him was to send him to the Phantom Zone until Clark found a cure. Mon-El then showed Superman a Kryptonian prison, called Fort Rozz, that was inside the Phantom Zone. The prison was the only place in the Zone where time passed by, and it was the reason Zod and Ursa were able to have their son, whose name proved to be Lor-Zod. Mon-El revealed that Zod and Ursa were able to manipulate the Phantom Zone with the technology inside the Prison to send their son to Earth. Superman decided to go in since it was the only way to get out of the Zone. However, inside the prison there was no yellow sun; therefore Superman would have none of his powers. Also, a criminal named Dev-Em had decided to stay there, but Superman went in anyway. Superman would fight Dev-Em, but without his powers, he was overwhelmed by Dev-Em’s strength and was nearly killed.

Luckily, Mon-El decided to enter as well and saved Superman, despite the fact that his lead poisoning would spread if he entered the area. Superman helped Mon-El out of the prison before he died from the poison, and vowed to find a cure for him. Superman returned to Earth to discover Zod and his army had taken over the city, while defeating many of the heroes. Superman went to Lex first to get some help against the Kryptonians. Although Lex did agree to save the world from the Kryptonians, he did not agree with teaming up with Superman. However, Lex did offer Superman to join up with him and his team.

  • Shortly after leaving the Outsiders, he received an invitation to join the ranks of the Justice League Of America. At first Roy thought it to be a joke, but when he realize it was a legitimate request, he quickly accepted. As a gift to welcome him into the team, and to show Roy that he wanted to be a part of his life again, Ollie had a new costume made for him. Upon receiving the costume Roy decided to take it as a new outlook on life and changed his codename to fit the "family business". Now known as Red Arrow (he took the name from Hal who was about to call him by his real name during a mission, but to cover himself Hal called him Red Arrow instead), he is a full fledged member of the Justice League. As of recently, both he and fellow JLA teammate Hawkgirl, have begun a close intimate relationship.

  • Years ago, Green Arrow brought Black Lightning to the attention of the Justice League of America, who extended an offer of membership to the protector of Suicide Slum. He turned down the offer, preferring to work as a loner and focus on street-level crime.[9] Most recently, however, Black Lightning has joined the JLA, once again appearing with a modified costume.[2] He appears to be primarily based in Washington DC again. Black Lightning assists the JLA with intelligence gathered from the criminal community. Many super villains still believe he is 'in' with Lex Luthor and are willing to cooperate. Jefferson also helps the team in a battle against Amazo. He was the first member of the League to respond to the recent attacks made by the Amazons of Themyscira, and he also saved the President of the United States in this event.

Black Lightning was the focus of the one-shot Final Crisis: Submit, in which he helped the new Tattooed Man and his family escape at the cost of his own freedom. He is subsequently shown in issue 4 of Final Crisis under Darkseid's thrall.

  • The first adventure features the Asgardian trickster god, Loki, who seeks revenge against his adopted brother, Thor. Using an illusion, Loki tricks the Hulk into destroying a railroad track, after that he then diverts a radio call by Rick Jones and the Teen Brigade for help to Thor, whom Loki hopes will battle the Hulk. Unknown to Loki, the radio call is also answered by Ant-Man, the Wasp and Iron Man. After an initial misunderstanding, the heroes unite and defeat Loki. Ant-Man states the five work well together and suggests they form a combined team — with the Wasp naming the group "The Avengers". The original members are known as the "founding members," and courtesy of an Avengers Charter are responsible for the good name of the team. As a result, their wishes regarding the direction of the team are given additional weight and deference.

They are also known as "Earth’s Mightiest Heroes", the Avengers originally consisted of Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor-The god of thunder, Iron Man, and the Hulk, all of whom were popular, established superheroes. Almost from inception, however, the roster has been fluid, with the Hulk departing and Captain America joining. The rotating roster has become a hallmark of the team, although one theme has been constant: the Avengers fight the foes that no single superhero could withstand - hence their famous cry of "Avengers Assemble!" To that end, the team has featured humans (Captain America), robots (Vision), mutants (Scarlet Witch) , gods (Hercules), aliens (Mantis), supernatural beings (Doctor Druid) and even former villains. Such as Hawkeye, Black Widow, Swordsman, and Sandman. Despite the diverse nature of the team (which often resulted in squabbling), the Avengers have always managed to unite into a cohesive unit to combat extraordinary threats.

Ollie managed to build a bow-and-arrow from some old generator parts, which he then used to hunt. Eventually, he got really good. He was able to get off the island when some drug smugglers mutinied and took over a cargo ship. After turning them over to the authorities, he got a taste for crime fighting. Using his vast fortune, he began to create various trick arrows to use under his new mantle. • The alien part of Venom is a life form called a Symbiote. The one called Venom is not the first or only symbiote. (it’s actually the 998th in its line), but part of a race of extra-terrestrial parasites. Their home planet is unknown but they have existed for millions of years. The symbiote species lives by attaching itself to hosts and feeding off their adrenaline. They often drive hosts to extreme acts resulting in death in order to consume the large amounts of adrenaline produced immediately before they die. As a result of this, symbiote hosts don’t live long and symbiotes therefore have many hosts in their lifetimes. The one exception to this was Venom. The Venom symbiote desired to bond with a single host and to live with it instead of dominating and killing it. Because of this, Venom was looked down on by others of his species and was eventually imprisoned so his insane notions wouldn’t spread. Captive and without a host, Venom was sent to Battleworld, the setting of the very first Secret Wars and first appeared in Secret Wars Vol. 1 #8.

The Super-Human Registration Act was going to be a law soon and Mary Jane and Aunt May told Peter that they will support him whatever he decides to do. They stayed at a cheap motel for a while. When Mary Jane was arrested by a SHIELD agent, she did not give in and tell him where Peter was. Eventually Peter would show up and save her.   • Recently During the New Avengers, Hawkeye visited the Sanctum Sanctorum. The New Avengers were there and Hawkeye said he had come to tell Dr. Strange that he was right about not finding closer.     X-23: the 23rd successful clone of Wolverine, a trained killer with the same powers as Wolverine, but with two claws in either hand and one in either foot;

    Messiah CompleX

In the middle of the Messiah CompleX storyline, Cyclops assembled a new X-Force, which consist of the X-Men's best trackers. The new team is made out of Wolverine as team leader, X-23, Warpath, Wolfsbane, Caliban and Hepzibah. They're first mission was to tract Cable and the newly discovered Baby Mutant, before the Purifiers, Marauders Reavers and Predator X could get them first. They also participated in the final battle against the Marauders in Muir Island. However, after the death of Caliban, and injury of Hepzibah, it was believed that X-Force was disbanded.

  • X-force recently reformed, and the team are now using Angel's Aerie as their base of operations. During their first mission, Rahne is captured by the Purifiers. X-Force rescues her, but the apparent rescue turns out to have been a ruse; Rahne attacks her healer Elixir and surgically removes Warren's wings, which she takes back to the Purifiers.

Adam Harkins experiments on the wings to locate the Apocalypse strain, which they use to create similar beings they call "The Choir." Archangel's actual wings are grafted onto the first member of the Choir.

Back at Angel's Aerie, the healer Elixir is unable to regrow Warren's wings because they are not actually organic, and Warren finds out that the metal wings which replaced his feathered wings were not his own but another of Apocalypse's creations. Soon, Warren has a massive seizure and his body reverts to its Horseman form, with its blue skin and razor-sharp steel wings. Recently Angel and X-force sought out The Vanisher and forced him to join their team because he had stolen a strain of the Legacy Virus. When the team finally tracks down that strain, Cameron Hodge and the Right show up just in time to give them trouble.

  • For a millennium, the shadowy Q Foundation prepared for the apocalyptic return of the Aztec shadow god Tezcatlipoca by empowering a champion to save the world. Uno was the most recent defender, donning the mantle of Aztek while disguised as Dr. Curt Falconer. Aztek's heroic exploits earned him Justice League membership. However, after learning that Lex Luthor had funded his training, he resigned.

When Aztek was sent out to fulfill his destiny, they sent him to an odd city called Vanity. The city had strange architecture that was build very close together and Aztek had trouble maneuvering his wings for flight. In his first real battle he had to fight a over aggressive vigilante who nearly killed a D-list crook robbing a bank. Both of them ended up dying when a bomb went off in the bank. Aztek was the only one who made it out unscathed. This gave Aztek a heavy dose of reality and what was really at stake.

Aztek died trying to destroy Mageddon, hoping that his sacrifice redeemed his connection to Luthor.

  • The G.I. in G.I. Joe stands for "Government Issue". During World War II the term G.I. Joe was coined to describe American soldiers. In the 1960's President John F. Kennedy created a special military unit that reported directly to the White House. The highly decorated Vietnam vet, Lieutenant Joseph Colton, headed up this special forces unit under the name "G.I. Joe". The name G.I. Joe became synonymous with Colton. The team had a successful run of missions through the 1960's and 1970's before it was officially disbanded.

G.I Joe was revived in the 1980's as an elite counter terrorism strike-force. Their main enemy being COBRA, the well funded and organized terrorist group which actually ran an entire American town (Springfield) as a sleeper cell. The original leader of this new team was Hawk ( Colonel Clayton Abernathy ) who quickly recruited Stalker, Snake-Eyes, Grand Slam, Short-Fuze, Flash, Grunt, Breaker, Rock & Roll, Zap, Scarlett, Steeler and Clutch. The team was a complete secret and their subterranean headquarters, called The Pit, was stealfully hidden underneath the motorpool at Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island.

As Cobra grew in strength, the Joes started to recruit more experts from the different branches of the armed forces. Torpedo and Wet Suit from the Seals, Gung-Ho and Leatherneck from the Marines, Sailor and Deep Six from the Navy, Cutter from the Coast Guard, Ace and Slip-Stream from the Air Force and many others. Soon there were elite troops for the Joes to cover the globe.

  • As much a mystery as he is a man

No one actually knows his real name and very few have seen his disfigured face.

One of if not the most popular of all G.I.Joe characters. Snake-Eyes is one of the most skilled and dangerous figures in G.I.Joe.

A Ninja master, black belt of 12 different fighting systems. Trained in mountaineering, underwater demo, jungle/desert and arctic survival, a NATO and Warsaw Pact small arms expert as well as an expert in the use of edged weapons. Snake-Eyes flawlessly combines both edged and small arms weapons in battle to become the fear of G.I.Joe.

Snake-Eyes greatest friendship/rivalry is with the ninja Storm Shadow

Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes both served together in a Long Range Recon Patrol unit during the Vietnam war. During service Snake-Eyes was wounded in battle and was rescued by his friend Tommy (Storm Shadow). Upon his return home Snake eyes was greeted with the news that his mother, father and twin sister had been killed by a drunk driver on the road to collecting him at the airport. It was at this time through a lot of soul searching that Snake-Eyes decided to go with Storm Shadow to train in the arts of the ninja with Storm Shadow's family. The rivalry between Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow began here as Snake eyes took to the training like a duck to water. After the Hard Master (Storm Shadow's uncle) was killed by an unknown assassin (Zartan) Snake-Eyes left Japan and returned to the Sates. When General Hawk then a Colonel was recruiting for the G I Joe team Stalker and he recruited Snake-Eyes, on an early training mission Snake-Eyes was disfigured by a helicopter blast rescueing Scarlett. Snake-Eyes is like a sharp blade, G I Joe has put a sheath on that blade but it still remains razor sharp.

  • Of Japanese heritage, Thomas Arashikage "Arashi" Storm and "kage"

meaning Shadow is commonly known as the Cobra member Storm Shadow.

A true fan favorite Storm Shadow is one side of a G.I. joe rivalry that has kept G.I.joe action figures and comics popular through the years, G.I.joe member Snake-eyes being the other side of that coin.

Storm Shadow was trained in his family art of Ninjitsu and as such he has mastered many forms of hand to hand combat, the use of edged weapons (especially the sword) including shuriken (throwing stars) as well as being adept in archery. An expert spy, bodyguard, escape artist, and assassin. Storm Shadow can be your greatest friend or your worst enemy.

    Origin

It all began somewhere in Southeast Asia where Tommy (Storm Shadow) was a young soldier in a Long Range Recon Patrol unit with fellow soldier Snake-eyes, the teaming of these young soldiers would catalyst a bond and a battle for years to come.

It was during a patrol when the unit stumbled across an enemy camp that they did not expect to find that snake-eyes would be badly wounded, if not for the heroisim and unbelievable skill of Tommy, Snake-eyes may well have died on that battle field. Upon returning home Snake-eyes was greeted with the news that his family had all been killed in a car accident.

It was Tommy who persuaded Snake-eyes to come with him to Japan to learn the art of Ninjitsu with Tommys family. Snake eyes excelled in training and much to the dislike of Tommy, Snake-eyes looked most likely to take on the duty of master ninja and become head of the clan. Snake-eyes decided to leave the clan as a rift between Storm Shadow and himself had developed, but one night a strange turn of events would occur... Storm Shadows uncle and head of the clan was murdered. Storm Shadow watched the assassin leave in a Cobra helicopter, Storm Shadow gave chase. Members of the clan believed Storm Shadow to be the assassin due to his disappearance and the fact that the uncle had been killed by a technique only Storm Shadow and a few others had mastered.

Storm Shadow would go on to infiltrate Cobra and became the bodyguard of the Cobra leader.

Storm Shadow would become a member of both Cobra (due to being brainwashed) and G.I.joe many times.

  • When Ken was 12 years old his father thought that his son needed to learn about discipline. His son had become a spoiled brat and had tried to leech onto the family fortune. The elder Masters sent Ken to Japan to train under his best friend, the mysterious karate master Gouken. Ken was very hesitant to learn from Gouken, wanting to go back to the states but in time, he learned to respect his master. He enjoyed the company of Gouken's adopted son, Ryu, since he had a foil to finally pull pranks on, although this got Ken into a lot of trouble. Ryu and Ken would later become best friends and each other's principal enemies.

  • At the beginning of this arc, Alfred worries that cleaning up Gotham is making Batman lose the Bruce Wayne side to his personality. Eventually, both Robin and Alfred convince Bruce to go out on a vacation. They visit the London Pop Art Museum where Bruce learns that Talia had obtained the Man Bat formula and unleashed an army of Man Bat's to kidnap the British Prime Minister's wife. Batman is eventually defeated and discovers that he has a son named Damian Wayne. Bruce brings him to the Batcave. At first Damian is not interested and his impetuousness made him locked in the Manor.

Damian also wanted to fight crime as his father but was angry that he took away his sword and didn't get a laptop. When Batman left to battle Spook, Damian put on a cloak and beheaded the Spook. He showed this to Tim and when Tim tried to talk some sense into Damian, he punched him off the giant T-Rex robot. Batman eventually came back with Damian and found Alfred tied and Robin seriously injured. Alfred operated on Tim and left him in his bed.

Batman went with Damian to confront his mother who kidnapped the British Prime Minister's wife so that she could gain a Garrison at Gibraltar. The issue ends with the ship they were on exploding and Batman finding only Damian's cloak. Damian and Talia had escaped.

  • Tim was also involved in the direct conspiracy against Batman. He was hunted by a handful of lesser known bat-foes, and managed to keep out of their grasps longer than even Nightwing. In the end, he managed to make it to the scene just in time to witness Batman's apparent demise.

When Batman disappeared with no real explanation or trace, Robin knew it was his time to step into Gotham's spotlight. With the help of the recently returned Spoiler (who's death was faked in an earlier Batman Story Arch), Robin took on the gangs and villains of the city in an attempt to fill the void Batman left behind. he forged an alliance with a GCPD'd Sgt. Harper. with her help he was able to stay on top of police movement much the same way as Batman did with Gordon. he also made a tentative connection with the Penguin.

    The new gurdian of Gotham

However, things became more and more complicated, as unexpected gang fights and alliances began to form, rippling chaos throughout the city. On top of the growing crime problem, the Assassin known as the Scarab returned with her sights on Robin, and two different people claiming to be Jason Todd's known alter-egoes Red Hood and Red Robin where both reveled to have a part in the recent crime upheaval. Further shocking news came when Robin discovered that Spoiler was making deals with criminals behind Tim's back, including hiring Scarab to try and kill him. This revelation further reveled that Spoiler had orders from Batman to make sure Tim didn't find him, and to help him step up in the ranks of Superheroism.

Tim later found out that Anarky, a villain turned hero turned villain again, was behind much of the chaos the city had been experiencing, including the gangs and the appearance of Red Robin (Anarky was the person pretending to be Red Robin). However, Robin didn't realize this until he was almost killed in one of Anarky's explosions. Tim escaped with serious burns to his body and the back of his head, the latter forcing him to ditch his usual domino mask and done the Red Robin cape and cowel that he had apprenhended.

Tim find Anarky in the middle of the chaos, and in a last ditch atempt to save his city, Robin starts to fight with Anarky while Spoiler tries to stop the chaos and Anarky's bombs, Anarky tries to distract Tim with pre-recorded speech's of himself but this did'nt work, Anarky was no match for Tim's fighting skills and Tim beat the crap out of Anarky. Tim had planned for Officer Jamie Harper get Ulysses's parents to come to try to stop Anarky but he did not count on them brining their other younger children Hillary and Matthew. Anarky see's his parents but not his brother and sister neither does Robin. Anarky manages to set off his last bomb which is in a mail box next to the car his younger brother and sister where in.

Robin saves officer Harper but did not know about the children in the car and was not able to save them. With the chaos stopped Robin has a brief talk with Commissioner Gordon in which Questions Tim destion to bring Ulysses's parents into it. Tim meets up with Steph and tells her that he knows about her and Batman plans to make him better and that he loves her and because of that he can't have Spoiler around messing things up any more, He then congratulats her on making him better.

2 weeks later with his burns healed and looking normal again Tim pays Jason a visit in prison, Tim tells Jason the JLA telport code that he and Dick had hacked so that Jason could have on last chance. Jim Gordon decides it time to move forward and makes Robin Gotham's new protecter even giving him his own Robin Signal [much like the Bat-signal]. Gotham has got a new protecter and his name is Robin.

  • After that event, some changes were made in Batman’s history. Because of the DC event Zero Hour: A Crisis in Time, Batman was now not well known in Gotham and was actually an urban legend amongst some of the criminals. Also they were never able to catch the killer of the Wayne couple, meaning they eliminated Joe Chill from the entire continuity.

Later during the “Hush” storyline, Hush was introduced. He was Bruce’s childhood friend and was a big influence for Bruce when they were young. Elliot had in fact been the enemy known as Hush and was attacking Batman by manipulating his enemies to attack him. He also tried to torture Batman by making him believe that Jason Todd was still alive. Batman fought the man who claimed to be Jason, but it proved to be Clayface. However, Jason was really alive and would eventually turn up later as the Jason Todd, reviving an early alias of the Joker.BATMAN IS NOT DEAD= R.I.P.The events of R.I.P. stretched across the entire Bat-network as everybody connected to the Batman was forced to live their lives and do their jobs without him. As Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown (One-time Robin and now once again Spoiler) dealt with a Gotham lashing out in the absence of Batman, Nightwing dealt with a conflicted Two-Face, The OUTSIDERS where forced to work under limited orders, and Oracle and the Birds Of Prey fought off a group of internet-based criminals and the Joker.

    Where was Batman?

In the beginning, he was pre-occupied with the recovery of Catwoman's heart, as the demented Hush had cut it out and left her on a complicated machine to keep her alive. Once Batman recovered her heart and stopped Hush's twisted plan to take over Bruce Wayne's life, the Batman's life turned in a completely different direction.

Bruce Wayne was dating Jezebel Jet, a supermodel who was very influential in her home country. Jezebel discovered Bruce was Batman relatively early in their relationship, and the reveal made the relationship easier for Bruce to handle. He let Jezebel so deep into his life, that he even introduced her to the Batcave. And that was where Batman may have made his gravest mistake.

Jezebel tried to convince Batman that he was just living a life he had fabricated in his own head as a child to cope with the death of his parents. This suggestion begins to effect Batman's already strained psyche (he had almost died and was forced to re-live very traumatic moments in his life as Batman just weeks earlier) and he passes out when Jezebel says aloud a word that was on all the Bat-computer's screens: Zur-En-Arrh. As he passed out, Dr. Hurt and minions of his diabolical club, The Black Hand, infiltrated the Bat-cave. They drugged Batman, beat Alfred, and wrecked havoc upon the cave.

When next we see Bruce Wayne, he is waking up in a pile of garbage with no memory of himself. he meets a man named Honor Jackson, who recognizes that Bruce is on serious drugs. As the two spend time together, working in shady dealings that Honor was involved in, Honor gave Bruce an old broken radio as a sentimental gift. After they parted, Bruce found out that Honor had died some time before Bruce met him.

With this information, Bruce seemed to snap. He made himself a costume out of red, yellow, and purple rags, and began referring to the broken radio as the "Bat-Radia". He then called himself "The Batman of Zur-En-Arrh" and began taking advice from Bat-mite.

Batman and Bat-mite finally make it to Arkham, where Bat-mite says he cannot follow. Inside, Batman is confronted by Joker, who has Jezebel Jet held captive, and kills her right in front of him using the flowers that make up Jokers laughing Gas. And as Batman regains his sanity and looses consciousness to the same poisonous flowers, Jezebel is ok, the Joker is smiling, Dr. Hurt is there, and everyone is asking Batman: "Now do you get it?"

The story finally comes together when it is reveled that Jezebel Jet had been a part of the Black Glove all along. The word Zur-en-Arrh was written all over the city by Hurt as a subliminal trigger to be used when the time was right to break Batman's mind. While the now mentally stable Batman escaped the shallow grave the Black Glove put him in, Joker pointed out that no one had investigated Batman's "bat-radio". when they did, they activated a transmitter that brought Nightwing, Robin, Damion, and the League Of Assassins right to them. Batman hunted down Hurt, who tried to convince Bruce that he was his father, but Batman believed him to be Mangrove Pierce, an actor who had once been his father's double. As Hurt tried to escape, Batman infiltrated his escaping helicopter, causing it to crash in a blazing explosion.

The Batman is now presumed dead, and The Bat-Family and all of Gotham must figure out what will happen without him.

Batman: Last Rights and Final Crisis

    But Batman isn't dead.

Batman: Last Rights, which was billed as a sort of Epilogue to R.I.P., was at first believed to be a sort of recap of Batman's life as seen through someone else's (believed to be Alfred's) eyes. However, as the story progresses, we learn that batman is being held by Mokkari, a minion of Darkseid. The plan was to create an army of clones using Batman as a template. The Story is really a mixture of Batman's memories and the replacement memories being pushed into him by a being called Lump. However, Batman could feel Lump in his mind, and fought back repeatedly, altering the memories and eventually finding Lump within his own mind. When Lump told Batman that someone was copying his DNA and memories to create an army with his same drive and dedication, Batman stopped fighting and gave Lump all of his memories. The memories, being fed into all of the clones, where too much for the clones to handle, and they all died of stress and agony in their test tubes.

Deciding that the plan was a failure, Mokkari killed lump and ordered the entire factory to be shut down.

It is here that we learn what happened to Batman after R.I.P. He secretly made his way back to the Batcave. He and Alfred have a brief discussion about the slander Dr. Hurt released about Bruce's family. And then batman gets a call from the Justice League. About the Death of a new god.

From this point, one can follow Batman's involvement in Final Crisis back to the start of Last rights. While studying the body of Orion, Batman discovered that Alpha Lantern Kraken had framed Hal Jordan and was being possessed by the new Gods. Kraken subdued Batman and took him Via Boom tube to the laboratory in which Last Rights was set, leading us full circle.

In FINAL CRISIS 6, it is reveled that Batman escapes the factory and approaches Darkseid. Batman pulls the Gun that killed lump, loaded with the Bullet that killed Orion. Batman said he was making this one exception to the no guns oath he made all those years ago. As Batman Shoots Darkseid, Darkseid hits Batman with the "Omega Sanction" (apparently a version of the omega beam).

The next we see of Batman, his hollowed body is being held by Superman.

  • Zero was built in the year 2XXX by the evil scientist, Dr. Wily, as another attempt to best Dr. Light's creation, Mega Man. Quite possibly Wily's most powerful creation, Zero was built based on blueprints stolen from Dr. Light's labratory. It is unknown if Zero ever performed his primary function and destroyed Mega Man. All that is known is that Zero was somehow put into stasis for the next hundred years.

Zero's history with the maverick hunters began with Zero as the maverick. Destroying everything in his path, a freshly awoken Zero was ready to create a swathe of destruction, just as he was programmed to do. The situation became so serious that Sigma, the leader of the maverick hunters, had to fight Zero himself. During this fight, Sigma found himself extremely outmatched by the strange robot's feral rage, and just before Zero could deliver the final blow (ripping Sigma's head off in this instance) something very strange occured. Zero reeled back in pain, a large "W" on the crystal in his head. Taking the brief moment of vulnerability, Sigma smashed his fist into Zero's crystal, rendering him unconcious. (It is believed that at this moment, the "Irregular Virus" created by Wily was transferred from Zero to Sigma in a more contaminating form.) Zero was taken back to maverick hunter headquarters where he was repaired and reprogrammed to have the free will capacity of the newly found reploid, X.

They focus on justice and seeking justice, rather than responding to emergencies, letting the problems come to them, and being almost entirely reactive.

Hal Jordan decides that he wants a pro-active team. This team will go after the equivalent of the FBI's most wanted list, sometimes in different countries, sometimes through time.

The difference is, the Justice League of America is all about the League, it's a family. While this is about justice. It's all about bringing in the bad guys.

  • Dr. Raymond Keyes used to be a leading scientist who worked for Crey industries. A little absent minded when he is confronted by science and his work, he remained oblivious to Crey's ulterior motives and worked hard on the power suit project that was funded by Crey industries. He obliviously believed that the suit would be used for good: rescue operations, disaster relief or even protection in the event of a nuclear disaster.

What he did not know was that this was one of Crey's early attempts at creating power armor for ulterior motives. These were the early days and Crey had not yet made any moves that would reveal themselves as a villainous corporation out for super powered control over the masses. The suit was to be used for this purpose: to be used by their agents.

  • Megaman is a very popular video game series and manga from Japan, a place pretty famous for it's different style of comics. In Japan, however, Megaman is not called Megaman, he's called Rockman, as the entire series and the character names all have something to do with music (ie his sister Roll [Rock and Roll] and his brother Blues [aka Protoman, who is in actuality a red hue]). This page, however, is not dedicated to Megaman, but rather his older counterpart, mysteriously linked to the original series, Megaman X, also commonly referred to as simply X, a robot also created by Dr. Light, but much more powerful and is also in a far more serious world than the original Megaman was located in. In this timeline, farther into the future, the world is basically run by robots and machines.

  • Originally, Giganta was an ape artificially evolved into a human woman by Professor Zool. She soon came into conflict with Wonder Woman and, upon being subdued, was imprisoned at Transformation Island. Rather than find rehabilitation, Giganta was rescued and recruited by Eviless, becoming a founding member of Villainy Inc.

Notably, the pre-crisis version of Giganta does not grow to gigantic proportions. She is very strong, perhaps to a slightly superhuman degree, and somewhat larger than normal, but has no other powers.

  • After landing on Naboo he come in contact with two Jedi and the Queen of Naboo. Maul goes straight at the two Jedi, ignoring the queen and allowing her to escape. In a vicious duel Maul fends off both of his Jedi opponents with the help of his double-bladed lightsaber. After separating the Jedi Master from his Padawan, Maul finally succeeds in slaying Jinn. He then challenges Kenobi. The young Padawan, enraged at his master's death, strikes out at Maul with a furious assault. Maul eventually Force-pushes Kenobi into a pit. He taunts the Padawan, who dangles helplessly by a ledge, watching his lightsaber fall down into the abyss. However, Kenobi instantly calms down and connects with the Force. He makes a spectacular leap out of the shaft and Force-guides Jinn's lightsaber into his own hands. Wasting no time in striking as he landed from his jump, Kenobi cuts the astounded Maul in two before he can react. Maul barely has time to grimace as his body tumbles down the shaft in two pieces.

    Return

Maul returned as a Doppleganger (clone) who was ressurected by the prophets of the darkside to prove that maul was a better canidate for the Emperor rather then Vader. The prophets brought Maul back to destroy Darth Vader because they had doubts about his true feelings basically saying that he was not a true Sith. Maul's attack against Vader was a failure because Maul underestimated Vader's true power. Vader showed his hatred towards himself by stabbing through his own body to kill Maul.

  • Darth Vader gained power beyond beyond one's wildest dreams and became the most powerful Sith ever. Vader ruled the Empire with an iron fist, using his power and evil to dominate everything beneath him. He had no rivals or real enemies--the Empire simply ruled everything. And then, the Rebellion, officially the Alliance To Restore The Republic, came.

The Rebellion was trying to stop Vader and the Empire, so they engaged in vicious combat. And a young man, nineteen years of age, but with a strong connection to the Force--Luke Skywalker--emerged. Skywalker was allied with Han Solo, a Corellian pilot and smuggler who had been cashiered from the Corellia Merchant Marine, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan (whom Luke then did not know was his own fraternal twin sister), and an aged Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke Skywalker was the Rebel pilot to destroy Vader's base, the Death Star. Vader and Kenobi fought for one last time before this happened, though, and Vader killed Kenobi--only to have Kenobi vanish into a crumple of his own brown robes just as he was being beheaded. Before Kenobi died as a physical being, Luke heard him say, "Darth Vader...betrayed and murdered your father." Luke, not knowing that this meant Anakin Skywalker's corruption had betrayed everything he had believed in and seemingly destroyed the good man he had once been, swore revenge and promised that he would grow strong in the Force and bring down the Empire.

  • Following the Infinite Crisis, the history of Earth - and the Legion - was re-written. While the origin of the Legion is still unknown, the world they live in is very different. It is a time of stagnation and conformity, where physical contact with other people is considered the height of rudeness, and even people in the same room will use electronic means to converse rather than talk to each other. Children are bio-tagged so their parents can track them anywhere, and are taught obedience and propriety.

In this environment, the Legion has become an icon of youthful rebellion. While the actual working membership of the Legion is only about twenty, the thousands of young people who have left their homes and gathered together in its support are also considered Legionnaires. The "core team" have adopted code names conforming to the pattern of 20th century heroes - one-word noun or adjective, followed by "Boy," "Girl," "Lad," or "Lass."

For a long time, the Science Police, the dominant power on Earth, considered the Legion a threat, but now is attempting to put the Legion under its power.

As with the previous "reboot," there are some changes to characters. For example, Colossal Boy is now from a race of giants. His ability to shrink to six feet tall is why he wants to be called "Micro Lad," but his teammates prefer his original name. Chameleon Boy, who in previous incarnations was recognizably male, is an androgynous character due to his nature as a shapeshifter, and thereby only goes by the codename "Chameleon." Phantom Girl gains her abilities by phasing from one dimension to another, to the extent that she is existing in two worlds at once.

The current Legion exists to fight not only evil but also conformity, fear and oppression. They are at the front lines of the generation gap in the galaxy. Their first battle cry, coined by Lightning Lad, was "Eat it, Grandpa," which says a great deal about the view the current team has of the world.

  • Following his brother's failure to assassinate Shang Tsung during the first tournament (and his eventual death therein at the hands of Scorpion), the younger Sub-Zero was sent to Outworld to complete the assignment after the second Mortal Kombat tournament was announced. Sub-Zero soon discovered Scorpion's foul vendetta against his brother; Scorpion, aghast upon learning of Sub-Zero's apparent survival, continued to hold a grudge against the new Sub-Zero, as he believed him to be the same man who had killed him years ago. However, his belief was dispelled when he witnessed Sub-Zero spare the life of a defeated opponent during the tournament. Scorpion then came to the realization that this new Sub-Zero was the younger brother of his murderer, and, unbeknownst to Sub-Zero, swore not to harm him. Though Sub-Zero's attempt to dispatch Shang Tsung was fruitless, he successfully assisted Liu Kang, Raiden, and their allies in Liu Kang's battle with Kahn.

  • Scorpion is from a Japanese clan called the Shirai Ryu from Osaka. "Scorpion" was his code name, given to the greatest ninja in the clan. His father, whom used to be a member, initially forbade his son to join the clan because he didn’t want his son to live a life of a ninja, Hanzo however joined anyway in order to provide for his family. He was hired by Quan-Chi to find a map somewhere hidden in the Himalayas. Secretly, Quan Chi also hired Sub-Zero from the Lin Kuei, rivals and enemies of the Shirai Ryu.

Quan Chi thought if he hired two it would increase his chances of finding Shinnok's amilet, just in case if one of them fail. When Scorpion got to the Himalayas he encountered Sub-Zero got their at the same time, they both fight for their prize and Sub-Zero killed Scorpion.

Scorpion is fortunate however that Sub-Zero was sent to the Netherrealm by Raiden to retrieve Shinnok's amulet. They both met and fought; Sub-Zero wins again and escapes. Scorpion follows Sub-Zero back to earth and participates in Shang Tsung's tournament. The two met again on Shang Tsung's boat and Scorpion grabbed Sub-Zero by the throat and said:

"You killed me in cold blood exactly two years ago, to this day, but my demons have allowed me to avenge my death. I could kill you at this moment, but I am not a murderer. We will meet at the tournament, and then, Lin Kuei warrior, you will pay with your life."

They didn’t meet in the tournament, but they did meet in the closing of Mortal Kombat. This time they battle to the death. Scorpion won the battle and avenged his death. Then, he violently blast into flames and ash, and is sent back to the Netherrealm.

  • Several centuries ago, the templar knight Dumas left his group to found his own Order of St. Dumas. They pillaged villages for their wealth, and came upon the fabled treasure of King Solomon. Using this capital, this secret society began collecting information for its personal agendae and researching technology that would advance beyond the rest of the known world. To guard this, the Order created the Azraels, agents coached to believe it is an actual Biblical angel of vengeance passed on from father to son. When Ludovic Valley had impregnated a woman, the Order of St. Dumas retrieved the fetus to develop it on its own which would grow to Jean-Paul Valley.

Jean-Paul Valley, a university student in Gotham City, was unaware that he was the latest in a line of assassin-enforcers for "The Sacred Order of Saint Dumas", a sinister secret society, and had received training and mental conditioning to prepare him for his role since before he was born. He is a test tube baby, and his genes have been spliced with those of animals. For most of his life, he has been brainwashed with "The System", a deep level of psychological conditioning. The details of The System are never fully explained, but it is understood that training begins before birth and includes genetic modification, prenatal electric shock, and the use of gorillas as surrogate mothers. When he was sent by the Order to kill a weapons dealer who had killed his father (the last Azrael), Carlton LeHah who believed himself to be the idealistic opposite to Saint DuMas, his path crossed with Batman. After saving Wayne from an explosion set up by LeHah, Valley was shown the error of his ways, and he decided to fight with Batman against the criminals of Gotham, rejecting his "birthright" and seeking Batman's help in breaking his conditioning to forge a new destiny of his own choice.

  • The man who would become the Black Mask was born Roman Sionis who from an early age was obsessed with masks and had parents who were wealthy and owned their own Company known as Janus Cosmetics. Roman Sionis inherited the prosperous Janus Cosmetics Corporation after his parents died in a very suspicious fire. It did not take long for Roman to drive the company into the ground, his last attempt at salvation was producing a failed product that resulted in disfiguring the people who had bought them, this led the company open to a Wayne Industries buyout. The loss of his legacy drove Roman mad and he turned his hatred on Bruce Wayne.

He donned a mask carved from the wood of his mother's coffin and set out murdering Wayne employees as a way of having revenge.

  • Chris Powell's father, Mike Powell, was a member of the Cabal, a group of current and retired police officers turned vigilantes. By utilizing bribes garnered from major crime bosses, the Cabal had financed a suit of powerful armor called Savage Steel. Chris spied upon his father as he was receiving his final payment from crimelord Philippe Bazin and assumed his father was criminal himself. Chris was found by Bazin's henchman but accidentally came upon the amulet. He transformed into the android form and defeated Bazin's men.

With more time, Chris discovered that his armor was in fact an autonomous android. When Chris would grab the amulet it actually caused his body to switch places with Darkhawk though his mind still remained in control.

Darkhawk was brought aboard the Avengers West Coast as a reserve member, after assisting them several times. He saw little action with them after becoming a member, because they were dissolved shortly after he had joined them.

With even more time, Chris and Darkhawk would split in two different entities with the armor would be updated. This new version gave Darkhawk new powers. Such things like a forcefield around his armor, the ability to construct a gigantic force-field shaped like a hawk and being able to summon weapons from Osch.

By the end, Darkhawk and Chris re-emerged, no longer needing the amulet to switch bodies.

Darkhawk was soon shown back in his original form, without any of his upgraded powers. No explanation was given about that fact, causing an inconsistency in Darkhawk's continuity. The reason for the change seems to be for recognition. Phil Urich {the former Green Goblin} was able to take the amulet and transformed into a "Goblinized" version of the Darkhawk. Chris Powell managed to tap into the amulet by touching it on Phil's chest, allowing him to summon his second, upgraded armored form. Although Phil Urich retained the amulet itself. After the amulet was retrieved, he used it to change back to his first form.

  • Steve Rogers left instructions for Tony Stark in a letter written before his death to "save" Bucky and that the mantle of Captain America should go on.

When the Winter Soldier (Bucky) was brought into SHIELD custody, he managed to escape, only to attack Iron Man. The two fought to a standstill until Stark mentioned the letter from Steve. Bucky wasn't sure that Cap had meant for him to actually become Captain America. Tony said that there's no way Bucky would let anyone else fill those boots and asked if he wanted to be the one to let Steve down. Bucky said he'd do it under two conditions. The first was that his mind was completely probed to ensure there was no trace of brainwashing or failsafe code-words left over from when he was under control was the Winter Soldier. The second condition is that he doesn't have to answer to SHIELD or to Stark, just as Steve didn't. Tony thought about it and agreed. All the figures from the future then fade away; the Titans leave to take part in the fight with the Sinestro Corps.

In an epilogue set eight years in the future, Tim Drake and Cassie are in a relationship. He seems to be having an affair with Miss Martian and is collaborating with Lex Luthor in the cloning of several dead Titans.

    Always & Forever Rivals

    Always & Forever Rivals

Victor was the child of Gypsy travelers in Latveria, a small European country. Victor's mother was killed when she called upon the demon Mephisto for power. Victor's father died soon afterward trying to protect his son. Victor later discovered his mother's mystical books and artifacts. He made several unsuccessful attempts to free his mother's soul from Mephisto.

Victor excelled in science, developed several inventions, and was eventually given a scholarship to Empire State University. While attending this school Victor met Reed Richards, who would later become his enemy, Mr. Fantastic. In school, they were considered scholarly rivals.

One day, Victor designed an invention to rescue his mother which would become his greatest downfall. Richards attempted to warn Victor of an error in his calculations. However, Von Doom's arrogance refused to let him listen. The machine then exploded, scarring his face, and led to his expulsion from the university.

Von Doom later went to Tibet and found an old order of monks. He practiced their ways enough for him to become their leader. Von Doom then asked them make his first suit of armor. Eager to wear the suit, Doom placed the still-hot steel faceplate to his face, making him even more scarred than before. As Dr. Doom, he then killed Baron Vladimir and imprisoned his son Rudolfo, and gained control over Latveria. Rudolfo would escape and lead a rebellion and become a thorn in Doom's side for years till his death. Later, Rudolfo's younger brother Zorba would take over where his brother left off. Doom using his intellect and inventions, turned Latveria into a thriving nation.

In his quest to conquer the world, Doom had several run-ins with his former rival, Reed Richards and his supergroup, the Fantastic Four. He first tried to get the Fantastic Four to steal some gems which were originally Merlin's from the past and would bring him great power, but this failed.

stealing the powers of the surfer

stealing the powers of the surfer

He teamed up with Namor to try to defeat the Four and almost succeeded. He was defeated and stranded in space where he was rescued by the Ovoids. He was able to learn much of their technology and used it upon his return to Earth to try to defeat the Four again. He switched bodies with Reed Richards and impersonated him. He planned to shrink the rest of the team into nothingness, but the plan backfired and it was Doom who was shrunken.

Dr. Doom has also fought the most number of heroes over his career.

One of his enemies was the Silver Surfer. He was able to steal the Silver Surfer's Power Cosmic and become one of the most powerful beings on Earth, but was again stopped by the Fantastic Four. They managed to trick him into flying outside of Earth's boundaries,

Doom gained and lost his new powers

Doom gained and lost his new powers

therefore meaning that since Galactus had placed boundaries to stop the Silver Surfer leaving, Doom's power was lost.

During the events of the first Secret Wars, he was able to steal the powers of Galactus and then the powers of the Beyonder. He was stopped when the Beyonder took possession of the Klaw's body and used Klaw's guile to trick Dr. Doom into losing his powers.

Dr. Doom became the runner-up at the Aged Genghis's contest. As stated in the rules of the match, he was given one request from the winner, Doctor Strange. Dr. Doom's request was to free his mother's soul from Mephisto. Together, they were able to free the soul of his mother, but at the price of her undying hatred against her son.

When the threat of Onslaught arrived on Earth, Doom saw this as an opportunity to steal the being's powers. When Earth's heroes learned they must sacrifice themselves to defeat Onslaught, Iron Man decided Doom should help with that sacrifice. Iron Man grabbed Doom and pulled him into Onslaught's essence, killing him.

Franklin Richards created a pocket universe for the heroes to live in. Doom remained much as he had before. Unlike most of the heroes, Doom seemed to remember the past events of Onslaught. When Galactus came to Earth to consume it, Doom was met by a future version of himself and given information and technology to help him. Doom first tried to steal the cosmic powers of Galactus' heralds. Soon realizing he was no match for Galactus and realizing the planet was doomed, he traveled back in time to try to prevent this. After two more attempts to stop Galactus and turn it towards his favor, Doom finally worked with the heroes and the Silver Surfer to defeat Galactus.

Eventually, after the heroes returned back to their normal Earth, Doom remained behind. He took over the world and moved it from the pocket universe to his original universe with magic and technology, putting it in the same orbit as Earth, only on the opposite side, creating a Counter Earth. Eventually he was overthrown and returned to his rightful planet.

During his youth, he fell in love with a woman named Valeria, but she declined his advances. He made a pact with the Hazareth Three, which involved sacrificing her in order to gain more power. This act is generally considered to be the precursor to a new Dr. Doom who regretted the crime against Valeria. It is stated to be the reason for Doom naming Reed's daughter Valeria, after the woman he truly loved but killed. He considers himself to be the self-appointed guardian of young Valeria as he feels this is the way he can atone for the death of his love. However, Marvel has not mentioned exactly what triggered this emotional sentiment in Doom to bring back the memory of Valeria. He became trapped in Hell when he was tricked by the Fantastic Four and Dr. Strange.

When Mjolnir was floating and passing through all realities, it made a hole in hell for Doom to escape. When Mjolnir landed on Earth, Doom tried to claim it, but he was unworthy. He later returned to Latveria and rediscovered his magical heritage to defeat his enemies. He later welcomed Atlanteans to Latveria when their kingdom was destroyed and later aligned himself with Loki to plot against Thor and the release of Asgard's enemies

Doom then faced the Mighty Avengers after he released Symbiote from one of his satellites. When Iron Man, Sentry, and Doom were fighting, they were suddenly brought back to the past. The three had to work together to get back to the present by using Mr. Fantastic's time machine from that time line. But when they got back, Doom sent Iron Man to a time when his castle was only moments away from exploding. With Iron Man out of the way, he easily defeated the Avengers. Iron Man however, managed to escape in the nick of time. That, combined with Spider-Woman's breakout from Doom's prison proved to be the start of his downfall and Doom was finally apprehended.

    Civil War

During the Marvel Civil War, Dr. Doom had been abandoned in hell (Mobius Dimension) by the Fantastic Four. There, he conducted a valiant battle against innumerable demons. He escaped when Thor's hammer passed through that plane of existence, on its journey to earth. When back on earth, he found that his Prime Minister had taken over his country, after two years of Doom being absent. The Minister was about to make serious changes in the government, when Doom intervened.

He then set about the task of retrieving the Mjolnir. After fighting SHIELD and the Fantastic Four, he arrived at the hammer only to find he could not lift it. He returned to Latveria, frustrated.

In Latveria he was approached by Black Panther and his wife, Storm to form a united front against the registration act of the US. At the time Black Panther was seeking aide from countries such as the UK and Atlantis. Although Doom agreed with Black Panther, he did not involve himself in combat on US soil during the war.

    Dark Reign

In the fallout of secret Invasion we first see Dr.Doom attending the meeting of the Dark Illuminati. Victor is unimpressed with Norman Osborn's brave new world but plays ball anyways. Following the departure of the other Illuminati Namor and Doom talk about their real plans. Doom says that if things do not go the way he thinks there will be a battle the likes the universe has never seen.

Upon his return to Latveria Doom is attacked by Morgana Ly Fay after she had attempted to murder him in the past. The powerful witch blasts Doom and knocks him down for the count. As Morgana moves in for the kill Doom is saved by Norman Osborn and his Dark Avengers.

Dr. Doom has also been working with groups of B-Ranked super-villains since secret Invasion. He smashed up the Sinister Six, (Kraven, Doc Oct., Sandman, Chameleon, Vulture, and Mysterio) Before telling them he just had plans for them. Doom gives them instructions and helps them enhance their powers while he uses them to further his agenda.

After this we see Dr.Doom teamed up with the Circus of Crime searching for the secret of eternal life. They come into a clash with Baron Zemo and the masters of evil. It is revealed that the battle between the two groups was a test set-up by Doom to see who he would recruit. Even though the Circus won (with a very great deal of help from Doom.) Doom recruits the Masters of Evil but also extends his hand to Python Princess.

  • Backstory

Madame Masque was born Giulietta Nefaria, to Count Nefaria. At the time, the Count was the leader of an important family in the Maggia crime syndicate. After Giulietta's mother died, Count Nefaria asked Byron Frost, a wealthy industrialist, to raise his daughter in a respectable family. Byron agreed, renaming the girl Whitney Frost and raising her as his own. After the Frost's passed away, Count Nefaria approached Whitney while she was engaged to a politician named Roger Vane and revealed her true heritage. Later, her fiance left her, afraid that her connection to a known criminal would destroy his political career. Whitney then accepted her father's invitation to join him in running the Maggia's US operations. She was exceptionally well trained in criminal activities, and in both armed and unarmed combat. When her father was imprisoned, Frost became the new "Big M", leader of the Nefaria family of the Maggia. She was brilliantly succesfully as a leader, but her role in the Maggia brought her into conflict with Iron Man. While trying to flee from Iron Man her plane crashed and her face was horribly scarred. She was saved however by Mordecai Midas. Midas was obsessed with gold and gave Whitney a golden mask to hide her disfigurement, thus she became known by the name "Madame Masque". Masque would later betray Midas in order to save Tony Stark after he showed compassion towards her despite her disfigurement. She would not stay with Stark for long however due to her criminal past. She would occassionally impersonate other women in order to get close to Stark again, but her past would always catch up to her in the end and spoil the relationship. Eventually, she would resume control of the Nefaria family and her place in the Maggia. At one point, Madame Masque became paranoid and started to create copies of herself known as bio-duplicates. One of these bio-duplicates (known simply as Masque) even became an ally of the Avengers. Madame Masque also created robotic servants known as the Inner Guard and named them after notable historical traitors (such as Benedict Arnold, Brutus, Guy Fawkes and Vidkun Quisling).

    The Hood's Gang

Madame Masque has since been hired by The Hood to take advantage of the split in the superhero community caused by the Super-Human Registration Act. Since the Hood's Syndicate was first formed, Whitney has risen to be a major lieutenant in his organization as well as his lover, after she was rescued by the Hood from Skrulls posings as agents of SHIELD. Madame Masque took part in the Syndicate's many battles against the New Avengers, including their attack against the Sanctum Sanctorum, as well as joining the rest of the Syndicate as they aided Earth's defenders in the Battle of Central Park. While she does care for the Hood and greatly respects him, Whitney has challenged his judgement and secretive nature on occasion, acting as a check and balance to his growing mental divide after he swore secret allegiance to the Dread Dormammu. Currently, Madame Masque acts as Robbin's second-in-command, and often assists him in both directing the Syndicate and fighting alongside him.

Recently she posed as a prostitute to get close to a perverted son of a rich sultan to find the whereabouts of where a fortune filled truck is heading for the Hood's gang to steal from.

    Powers & Abilities

Madame Masque has no superhuman powers, but is an athletic woman and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat in various martial arts and an expert markswoman. She is a master strategist and organizer, although she suffers from mental instability and is believed to be criminally insane. She has access to advanced technology like her bio-duplicates. Madame Masque wears body of armor of an unknown composition with a gold metal faceplate, underneath which her face was chemically scarred. The faceplate is hard enough to deflect bullets without causing her any permanent injury. She carries a .475 Wildey Magnum revolver or any various types of handguns, including guns firing concussive blasts of energy and guns firing sleeping-gas cartridges. As leader of the Maggia family, Madame Masque commands unspecified numbers of Dreadnought robots modified from the original designs stolen from HYDRA.

    Appearances In Other Media

    Iron Man (1994)

Madame Masque appeared in the Iron Man 1994 series, She appeared in the episode Beauty Knows No Pain. Her story was somewhat the same as the comics being a former girlfriend of Tony obessed with her own beauty. She became bitter when she lost her beloved looks and Tony. She then became involved with the Maggia and took on the identity of Madame Masque. Upon her discovery of the Golden Sepulcher of Isis which could return her beauty to her, she and her Maggia henchmen kidnapped many workers and Julia Carpenter. Tony Stark arrived at the scene and fought some of the Maggia henchmen until they overwhelmed him upon Madame Masque's arrival. Madame Masque then threatened to kill Julia unless Iron Man retrieved the gem for her. After surviving the deadliest of traps, Iron Man gave Madame Masque the Golden Sepulcher of Isis, and restored her beauty. After becoming Isis due to the artifact's effects, she learned that all she really wanted was Tony. After Madame Masque/Isis' fight with Iron Man, War Machine, and Spider-Woman, the Golden Sepulcher of Isis is destroyed by Iron Man, regressing Isis back to a disfigured Madame Masque. Iron Man then told her the love he once felt for her was inside, and it died years ago.

    Iron Man: Armored Adventures

Madame Masque as she appeared in Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

Madame Masque as she appeared in Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

Madame Masque just recently appeared in the Iron Man: Armored Adventures series. Her story was heavily changed, in the series her name was Whitney Stane and was the daughter of Obadiah Stane. She was good friends with Tony since they were young. She became angry with her father for what he did to Tony life, and mostly for not spending time with her. She helped Tony out of tough situations like when he snuck into Stark Industries to reclaim some of his fathers inventions only to be caught by Stane. She also helped him escape again when he returned to reclaim the Iron Man armor he left by turning off the main power switch to Stark Industries. She then decided to get back at her father for what he has done by stealing some of Stark Industries weapons and a mask that gives the user to disguise themselvs as anybody she then became Madame Masque. She framed her father at one of his art shows by turning into him and shooting up the place to come cause some panick. Iron Man then went into looking on what was happening and found her one night in a warehouse. She then used the mask to scaned him and turn into him. She then attacked him with the weapons she stole from Stark Industries only to be hit by him and revealing her true form. She then told him her name and disappeared. The next day she was going around town disguised as Iron Man commiting crimes, and making Iron Man a fugitive. Iron Man then confronted her again only to get his butt kicked by her. until the police arrived and tried to arrest them both. She then disguised herself as one of the officers to activate a bomb for a getaway only to be kncoked out by Iron Man. Her mask then shorted out revealing to the Police that she commited the crimes. She then tried to get away again by jumping across a building but had trouble holding herself up and losing her mask. Tony then came to help her up but was shocked to see that is was her. He then saved her and decided to let her go mostly for saving him from her father but he gave her a warning saying if she does that again he will turn her in. The next day at school Tony saw her depressed and siting alone in class and decided to sit with her to cheer her up.

    Killing the Owl

The Agents figure out they have shot the wrong person but don't want to pursue the case so they consult John. Telling him he could get out out of prison if he say The Hood was female. John then replies "How big do you want me to say her tits were?"

    Beyond!

Later on The Hood was one of several super-beings transported by the Stranger's new Battleword, where the Stranger (disguised as the Beyonder) promised them their greatest wishes if they killed their enemies.

Te Hood was the only who accepted it and by using his invisibility powers he tried to kill the others. Alyosha Kravinoff sensed him and took him by surprise, saying they should work together. The heroes eventually ganged up on the Stranger, who escaped due to fear of what Uatu the Watcher's presence could mean. Uatu, however was there to witness the sacrifice made by Gravity when he held together the Battleworld so that the others could escape, killing himself in the process. Back on earth Parker and Sara attended his funeral, and sometime after this Sara gave birth to their child.

    The Hood

    The Hood

    The Hood's Syndicate

The Hood next appears in New Avengers having assembled a huge crew of around forty super-villains. He has sat himself in respect by killing the Owl, beat the crap out of Tigra while filming it, and he fought against Wolverine and lived to tell about it. He shot Wolverine in the junk, getting major cool points.

Chemistro suggested that instead of fighting the New Avengers, they should rob a federal reserve. This move served them well as they stole 15 million dollars. But their celebration is cut short when Luke Cage appeared and with him are the New Avengers, the Mighty Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Defenders and many more heroes ready for a fight against the Hood's Gang. It is later revealed that this was only an illusion made by Doctor Strange and in the middle of the battle, Strange banishes Hood with a anti-demon spell while his Gang is defeated.

The Hood reappears again and frees his syndicate to exact revenge to the New Avengers, especially Doctor Strange. The Hood's Gang manage to invade Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum and Hood fatally wounds Strange but was not able to kill him because of Wong's intervention. They retreated back before SHIELD agents arrive and Hoo verbalized that he now knows how to defeat them.

    Secret Invasion

Watching the battle of the superheroes and the invading Skrulls prompted the Hood to fight the aliens. Chemistro objected that the heroes and the Skrulls should kill each other and they should just pick up the scraps left. But Hood reasons out that if the Skrulls win the battle, it would be bad for their business and that they won't be left for them. The syndicate goes to New York central park alongside the Avengers, Nick Fury's secret warriors, the Thunderbolts, Captain America and Thor to fight against the invading super-skrulls.

    Dark Reign

During Norman Osborn's Dark Reign, the Hood is tasked by Norman Osborn to take care of the nuisance Punisher. Resurrecting Frank Castle's one-time accomplice Microchip from the dead and using an army of mercenaries and B-list villains that were victims of the Scourge. He tells the villains that the Scourge was the Punisher in disguise. The Hood attempts to track down the Punisher and his new sidekick, the hacker Henry.

Hood and his gang of villains would also steal a vase fortune from a wealthy prince. But during this celebratory time, he would get constant visits Dormammu leading him more towards his level as well as an attack by White Fang, the wife of a man Parker has accidentally killed. Now trying to make sure that his daughter doesn't deal with what he is going through, he goes to Satana to help his with his situation with Dormammu and later making her his supernatural advisor. He soon learns the history of Dormammu and his purpose. He then learns that him finding the mystical hood and boots was not an accident but a set up. The was planned for Dormammu to find a host. This he did when he found Parker. Later on he breaks his cousin and other members of his gang out of jail for drunken behavior. He later learns that his mother has gotten her memory back but it was because of Dormammu trying to tempt him not to get rid of him.

Later on he starts wearing a regular hood and not his supernatural one. At one point him and some members of his gang go out to help Shocker fight Force but are almost defeated by White Fang. He is saved by Controller who later turns on him by burning his old hood during his third battle with White Fang. Parker then some how manages to gain demonic powers with out the aid of the hood. He wins the fight defeating White Fang and Force and turns one of Controller's slave disks on him. He once again takes control of his gang but lets go of his cousin John.

    Marvel Zombies 4

Turns out the Hood buys mounds of cocaine from a dealer/zombie broker, Black Talon. He shows interest over a conversation with Black Talon about a weapon (the zombie virus) that will destroy all the super heroes. At this point he is in debate with his gang wither to use the weapon or not but in the end the Hood wants it. He then hires members of the Night Shift and the team and himself go to Black Talon's island where He and the team encounter the Midnight Sons. Dormammu follows him in the process. In the end he joins the Midnight Sons in effort to at least survive the zombie attack seeing that he couldn't teleport away with Dormammu's help seeing that Dormammu was more occupied with Midnight Son member Jennifer Kale. As soon as the killer zombie storm cloud appeared, he ended up fighting along side the Midnight Sons from his own zombie infected Night Shift. After the storm cloud was destroyed by Jennifer Kale, the Hood and the reverted NIght Shift teleported away.

    House of M

The Hood assembles a team of super-powered humans together which would be he incarnation of the Master of Evil. As one he and the others plan to break into a sentinel parts processing plant and rob it. They succeed in destroying the sentinel's and getting praise from the sapien race. After a small celebration, the Hood plans something much bigger for himself and the group. Later he announces to the public his role and new group the Sapiens Rights League which will serve to protect humans from mutant cruelty. He later saves members of his group Absorbing man, Titania, and Blizzard from being tortured by Wolverine and the Red Guard. After the rescue, the Hood begins to develop a plan to claim greater status by getting his own country.

In this reality he is still in a romantic relationship with Madame Masque.

    Dark Reign: Hood #3

    Powers & Abilities

Parker Robbins killed a Nisanti demon and stole his hood which grants him invisibility when he holds his breath, and a pair of boots that allows him to levitate. He has on one occasion fired some sort of mystical energy. Sometimes his eyes glows red, and under some circumstances he has shown the face of the Nisanti suggesting that he may be possessed. It is later revealed that the Nisanti demon is Dormammu. Dormammu apparently has been granting Hood access to a variety of his demonic powers.

The Hood is also a decent marksman, and has recently begun to shown some significant leadership skills and have gathered around forty super-villains under him.

  • When Slade Wilson was a young man he wanted to join the army but was too young, he then lied about his age so he could enlist. After enlisting in the army he proved that he could perform on a level far superior to any other young soldier. While in the army he met Adeline Kane, his instructor, who he later began a romantic relationship with and eventually married. After they were married, Adeline had a son, Grant Wilson (later the first Ravager). Slade Wilson continued to be an active soldier in the army. Soon after the birth of their first son, Slade volunteered himself for a medical experiment being conducted by the army to create meta-human soldiers (similar to the origin of Marvel Comics Captain America). The experiment was thought unsuccessful and also left Slade bedridden for a while as a result. The army dropped the project. After a time however, Slade discovered that the experiment had enhanced his sight, smell, strength and reflexes. Some time soon after these events, Adeline and Slade had a second son named Joseph Wilson (later to become Jericho).

    Anything For A Friend

When a friend of Slade's named Wintergreen was sent on a suicide mission and was captured, Slade asked his superiors to help him. Slade's superiors refused to help, and so he created a costume (similar to his Deathstroke costume) and went on an unauthorized solo mission to try and rescue Wintergreen. Although Slade was able to save Wintergreen, he was discharged from the army as a result.

After being discharged Slade decided to dedicate himself to hunting in order to fill the void he felt within himself; however this wasn't enough to make him feel the excitement he felt during his time in the army.

    I Am Deathstroke The Terminator

After a time, Slade stopped hunting and, without his family's knowledge, created the costumed persona of Deathstroke the Terminator, probably the greatest mercenary the world would ever know.

The greatest mercenary the world would ever know.

The greatest mercenary the world would ever know.

    The Tragedy of Joseph

Deathstroke did become one of the world's greatest mercenaries and hence would regularly recieve contracts to assassinate very important people.

One of these contracts was to kill a colonel in military service to the country of Quarac. After he completed the assassination, the president of that country sent Jackal (a terrorist) and his group to find out who was responsible for hiring Deathstroke to kill the colonel.

Jackal arrived at Deathstroke's house and kidnapped Joseph, his son, in an attempt to insure that Deathstroke would tell him who it was that gave him the contract. Because of the kidnapping, Slade admitted to Addie, his wife, that he was indeed Deathstroke the Terminator and that it was because of his mercenary business that Joseph was in trouble.

When Addie and Deathstroke went to fight Jackal, they arrived to find their son being held by one of Jackal's minions who was holding a knife to his throat. When Jackal offered the freedom of Deathstroke's son in exchange for the information he needed, Deathstroke refused, because revealing that information would go against his code of honor.

Deathstroke tried to defeat the Jackal's men and save Joseph, however he wasn't fast enough; and although he was able to save his son's life, the man was able to cut Joseph's throat, leaving him mute forever.

    Deathstroke has no right eye.

    Deathstroke has no right eye.

Addie was furious because of Slade's decision to become a mercenary without telling her and for also putting their two sons at risk. Addie shot Deathstroke in an attempt to kill him; however, thanks to his enhanced reflexes, he was able to save his life, only losing his right eye.

After that, Addie left Slade and kept custody of their two sons, from then on raising them by herself without any contact from Slade.

    The Ravager

Deathstroke's first son, Grant, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and so first went to a military school. After that, Grant became a mercenary for hire and took a contract from the H.I.V.E to kill all members of the New Teen Titans (a contract originally declined by Deathstroke).

Grant was given a costume similar to the one used by Deathstroke and was also granted powers similar to those of his father. However things didn't turn out well and Grant died battling the Titans. Deathstroke decided to honor his son by taking over his son's contract, and so swore to destroy the Teen Titans.

    Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

Deathstroke tried to kill the New Teen Titans by himself, however, the combined powers of the team were too much for Deathstroke to handle alone.

Deathstroke then later met a teenager named Tara Markov aka Terra (Geo-Force's cousin). Thanks to the incredible powers that Terra had (earth controlling powers), and the fact that she could be easily manipulated, thanks to her strange hate for everything, Deathstroke teamed up with (used) her and developed a plan to destroy the Teen Titans from within.

Terra joined the New Teen Titans and served as a double agent in order to give Deathstroke information about the Titans real identities, strengths, weakness, etc.

When it was time for the final part of Deathstroke's plan, he and Terra started hunting every member of the Teen Titans. Everyone was captured except for Kid Flash (Wally West) who had just left the team and the heroic business and so he wasn't attacked. Robin (Dick Grayson) had also left the Titans in search of a new identity for himself, having left the mantle of Robin behind. Dick was still attacked by Deathstroke, however, but was able to escape. After the attack, Dick Grayson, in his new persona of Nightwing, along with Deathstroke's youngest son Jericho (Joseph), went to attempt a rescue of the captured members of the Titans from the clutches of the H.I.V.E.

Terra died battling the Titans and Deathstroke was defeated thanks, in great part, to Jericho's help. After his defeat, Deathstroke faced the courts to anwser for his crimes against the Teen Titans. However, he was then freed because Beast Boy sabotaged the trial in an attempt to kill him.

After the court fiasco, Beast Boy challenged Deathstroke to a final battle to the death. Deathstroke appeared where the battle was supposed to take place, however he wasn't wearing his costume. He instead arrived dressed as a normal man. Slade came dressed as he was in the hopes of convincing Beast Boy that he wasn't there to fight but rather to prove to him that he wasn't responsible for Terra's death.

During their confrontation Beast Boy realized that Deathstroke was telling him the truth, that Terra had acted on her own and did so due to her insanity. Afterwards, Deathstroke returned to hunting once again in an attempt to live a normal life.

    Titans Hunt

Slade would later return to being Deathstroke, however this time he only took contracts that his particular code of honor would allow. He even became an ally of the Titans. When the Titans were captured by the Wildebeest Society, Deathstroke helped the New Titans track the Society. Much to everyone's surprise, the leader of the Wildebeest Society was a corrupted Jericho.

While Jericho was transferring the souls of Azarath to the bodies of the Titans, the real Jericho resurfaced and begged his father to save him. Without any other choice, Deathstroke killed his son by driving a sword through his body, causing himself a great deal of grief, as he felt that it was his fault that both of his sons were now dead.

    The Second Ravager

Deathstroke was able to later save the President of the United States, however he was also blamed for the murder of a senator. Deathstroke became a fugitive and went underground until he could clear his name. His friends and family however began to be hunted by a new Ravager. The two battled with Deathstroke killing the new Ravager.

Deathstroke eventually managed to clear his name after proving that it was all part of Crimelord's plan due to his insanity, which was caused by the Mento helmet.

    Becoming Immortal

During this time, Deathstroke discovered that besides his physical abilities and his healing factor, he was also immortal.

    Rose Wilson

    Slade and Rose.

    Slade and Rose.

Deathstroke discovered that he had a daughter named Rose. Her mother was a prostitute named Sweet Lili Worth who Slade had spent time with after his divorce from Addie. Deathstroke didn't want to get close to her because of what had happened to his two sons.

When Rose's mother died, Deathstroke decided that the best thing for her was to be left under the care of his longtime friend Wintergreen.

    The Death Of Adeline Kane

When Deathstroke again worked with the newly formed Titans against the H.I.V.E., he discovered that his ex-wife Addie had become insane due to a blood transfer from him. The blood transfer also granted her immortality. Begging to die, Starfire was able to kill Addie and end her suffering by using all of her power against her.

After the death of Addie at the Titans hands, Deathstroke broke off all relationships with them and became their mortal enemy once again.

I've Got My Son Inside Of Me

When the young justice core members became the newest incarnation of the Teen Titans, Deathstroke discovered that the spirit of Jericho had taken refuge inside his body, remaining undetected until then.

Deathstroke tried to expel his son with the help of Wintergreen, however, in self-defense, Jericho (controlling his dad's body) killed Wintergreen and also decided to destroy the newest incarnation of the Teen Titans in an attempt to prevent other teenagers from dying while trying to be heroes. With Jericho inside him, he first leads the new Teen Titans into a trap at Alcatraz and is able to subdue Bart Allen. To send a messege that kids shouldnt wear capes he shoots Bart in the knee cap. He then ambushes Beastboy and Cyborg outside the hospital Bart is recovering in. Despite not being in controll,Jericho obtained his fathers skill and was able to defeat both Gar and Cyborg throwing a knife in the latters cybernetic eye. After defeating them, he ambushes Robin, Wonder Girl and Superboy. Just as Slade/Jericho is about to shoot Robin Bart Allen fully recovered and calling himself now Kid Flash comes in saving Robin just in time. Slade finds himself overpowered by Superboy and Wonder Girls new lasso.

Jericho left his father's body and started attacking the Titans using their own bodies against them, however he became trapped by Raven and in the following story line Cyborg's eye, who then downloaded him onto a small disk.

After that, Deathstroke decided to recruit his daughter as his newest ally and as the fourth Ravager. He first achives this by anonymously hiring his brother who was willing to work for free due to his hate for Slade to kill Rose's current family. Deathstroke then steps in to save her gaining her trust. He than used the serum on her similar to the one used on him which gave him his powers, however, this made her go crazy and cut out one of her own eyes in order to look like her dad. Now with his daughter by his side, Deathstroke hunts down a newly reborn Raven because he believes that she will pose a threat as well as to get revenge on his son who is inside Raven for making him kill Wintergreen. Slade attacks numerous cults by Brother Blood until he is lead to the Teen Titans Robin and Starfire. He decides to work with them so they may stop Raven who might turn evil and Brother Blood. Starfire later betrays Deathstroke before he can kill Raven revealing that she lied the whole time. As the battle continues, Slade and Rose enter Raven' soul self and are later release along with Jericho who is inside body. Slade orders Rose to kill him but she was unable to do so fast enough and they are forced to retreat once again.

    Identity Crisis

Deathstroke was hired by Doctor Light to protect him from almost all members of the original Justice League along with the new bearers of the Flash and Green Lantern mantles. He battled and almost defeated the team consisting of Elongated Man, Hawkman, Atom, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Zatanna, Wally West (Flash) and Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern). Deathstroke first attacks Zatanna by hitting her below her rib cage causing her to continuously vomit and prevent her from casting any spells. Hawkman is next to attack Deathstroke but has his the straps on his wings cut off instead ,Hawkman falls to the ground hard. Green Arrow shoots his arrows at Deathstroke but he deflects it with his sword and cuts the tips of ollies arrows off as Ollie attempts to dodge. Black Canary attempts to use her sonic scream but Deathstroke flips over her and wraps a bag over her head so that she cannot open her mouth or breath. Ollie attempts to help her while Deathstroke uses a laser pointer to defeat The Atom. Kyle Rayner is the last one standing but before he can attack Deathstroke breaks his fingers and attempts to use the ring for him self. Unfortunately, while he was trying to gain control of Kyle's ring, Green Arrow jumped him and put an arrow into his right side, making him lose his temper and thus leading to his defeat.

Deathstroke,Renegade and The Secret Society of Super Villains

Nightwing tried to join the Secret Society of Super Villains to destroy it from within, however the only way for him to gain entry was to ask Deathstroke for membership and reveal to him his real identity. Nightwing then leaves a message for Deathstroke in an attempt to talk to him, they battled instead but the battle is interrupted by the new Ravager, his own daughter. Deathstroke decides to let Nightwing in if, in return, he trains his daughter in all he knows.

After their bargain is struck, Nightwing takes the new identity of "Renegade" and starts training Ravager. Renegade also uses that time to start converting Rose into a hero once again. Deathstroke and Nightwing make a deal with eachother that the Society would not touch Blüdhaven, in exchange Nightwing would leave Rose (Ravager) alone. The deal didn't last however, due to Deathstroke later blowing up Blüdhaven using Chemo.

An enraged Nightwing then in turn revealed to Rose that the kryptonite her father had put in her eye was poisoning her and that it would eventually kill her. After this revelation, Ravager breaks off any sort of relationship with her father.

    Battle of Metropolis

During the battle of Metropolis, Deathstroke was confronted by a team-up of the Batman, Nightwing and Robin. The trio easily defeated him, however when he was asked as to his reasons for abandoning his code of honor he responded that it was because he had lost his daughter as well as his two sons, and that it was all because of Nightwing.

    52

Deathstroke was seen briefly during 52, taking advantage of the hole Batgirl felt in heart when Batman left with Robin and Nightwing while leaving her behind, and also that he decided to ask Harvey Dent to watch over Gotham and not she.

    One Year Later

Deathstroke decided to take revenge on Green Arrow because of what he did to him during the identity crisis. They battle and Green Arrow defeats him, however it was later explained that Deathstroke let him win in order to enter the prison so he could talk to someone there.

    Deathstroke's Titans

Deathstroke rebuilt the old Titan's Tower and recruited a new team consisting on Match, Risk, Kid Crusader, Duela Dent, Enigma, Sungirl, Inertia and an insane Batgirl.

He used that team to attack and capture the Titans. However, the Titans were able to escape and battle Deathstroke's team again. Batgirl and Duela joined the side of the Teen Titans. Deathstroke's team were too much for the Titans to handle and so Deathstroke's team won, however Raven was able to recruit Nightwing, Donna Troy, Beast Boy and Bart Allen and with their help the Teen Titans easily defeated Deathstroke's team. Deathstroke and Inertia unfortunately were able to escape.

It was later revealed that the real reason Deathstroke formed his team was to give Ravager and Jericho (Just reborn) a family with the titans, something he himself could never give them.

    Last Will and Testament

Deathstroke is seen on a rooftop disposing of a camera Geo-Force planted. Slade is then comforted by Geo-Force who is still upset about the death of his sister, Terra. Geo-Force attacks Deathstroke with everything he has. Deathstroke shoots several darts into Geo-Force's thighs, negating his powers. As a result, Geo-Force falls into the very same alley that Joey Wilson, Deathstroke's son (Jericho), had his throat cut open. The one place where Deathstroke actually lost. Deathstroke then tells Geo-Force that he's not the first person to try this trick, he then throws a sword and a knife at Geo-Force, pinning Geo-Force's legs to the dumpster behind him. Deathstroke then starts to tell Geo-Force that he is going to use him to take out the Justice League, just as he had used his sister to take out the Titans. Geo-Force then pulls the sword from his leg and slits his own throat. Deathstroke, remembering the night when his son Joey's throat was cut, rushes to catch Geo-Force and tells him that he couldn't take this away from him! Geo-Force, still with sword in hand, stabbed Deathstroke through the heart, splitting it in two.

    Faces of Evil

Deathstroke is then seen in a Bellevue Hospital wing, his heart repairing itself. He's remembering all the bad things that have happened to him and his family. The doctors think he is dying so they grant him one final wish, which is to see his daughter (the Ravager). When Rose arrives, Slade is in a wheelchair. Rose then attempts to kill him using a wire around his neck but he breaks free. He then tells Rose that he tricked the machines into thinking he was dying, but was actually growing back to full strength. Rose then cuts his face with a pipe, Slade kicks her down, takes the pipe and uses it to break a window. There are security helicopters outside, he jumps into one, stabbing one guy in the head, and the other in the chest. Deathstroke then shoots the other helicopters down, and flies away.

    Powers & Abilities

Via experimental hormone therapy experimentation conducted by the government, Slade became a super-soldier. Unbeknownst to Slade's superiors, the procedure boosted his brain capacity, increasing his coordination and stamina to superhuman levels. He is able to devote 90% of his brain capacity to fighting. He is said to have "the strength of ten men". He also has enhanced speed and agility.

He also has a healing factor which enables him to recover from physical injuries much faster than most humans. This ability has limitations, as he can not regenerate lost eyes or limbs. He has recovered from otherwise fatal injuries, but the experience is traumatic. He has suffered from short-term periods of insanity and/or animalistic behavior after these "resurrections", butl he eventually regains control of himself.

Able to think nine times faster than most humans, Deathstroke thus possesses heightened senses, reflexes, and physical acumen, making him an astounding tactician. His arsenal is extensive and, with his augmented physique, he can turn any object into a deadly weapon. Nevertheless, he prefers his broadsword, blasting bo staff, and automatic pistols.

    He is also immortal.

    Creating Titans East

    DEATHSTROKE JOURNAL: ENTRY 5679

I know the Teen Titans well. I’ve gone up against every incarnation of this team, for money, for pride or out of obligation - I’ve even fought on their Side a few times. I know them well enough to know they can’t be underestimated, Particularly not when they have Something i want - and right now, that is what they have.

The Titans are not like the Justice League - you can’t beat them with mere force. Their youth makes them unpredictable so only by gaining the upper hand before the first punch is thrown can you defeat them. I’ve formed a strike force specifically designed to take the Titans apart so I can get what I need. Whether the weakness they’ve been selected to exploit is physical or emotional, every member of my team has been selected only after great thought. They’re all here for a reason.

MATCH: The impact of their beloved Superboy’s death on the Titans cannot be overestimated. Match’s strength is an asset, but his true value lies in the psychological edge he provides. His presence guarantees that Wonder Girl - the most powerful Titan - will not be operating at full capacity.

JOKER’S DAUGHTER: When most people look at Duela Dent, they only see a woman who is completely insane. They overlook that this is somebody who has been a Teen Titan - who has been in their Tower and lived among them. I can deal with insanity when information comes hand in hand with it.

KID CRUSADER: Even the best-laid plans can be thrown off by a single wild card. To me, Kid Devil is a wild card. To Kid Crusader - the only person I can find who has even heard of Kid Devil - he’s the face of evil and must be eliminated at all costs.

BATGIRL: I watched Cassandra Cain dominate my daughter, Rose, in hand-to-hand combat - something I thought nearly impossible. How will Rose react when the foe she could not defeat Stands at her father’s side? And perhaps more importantly, Batgirl provides me with insight into Robin that is second to none. I’ve underestimated the Titans’ leader before. I don’t make the same mistake twice.

RISK: Because he chose to fight for the Teen Titans, Risk lost an arm. In his mind, he might as well have lost his life. He’s furious at the world, and fury is easily manipulated. The Titans will hesitate against him out of guilt, and that hesitation will be their undoing.

INERTIA: If I learned anything working with Zoom in the Society, it’s the value of a speedster - and the Titans do not have one. While Zoom had at least some twisted social conscience, Inertia has no conscience at all. He can take two Titans off the board before the others know what hit them. And if control proves an issue, I have no problem aiming for his kneecaps.

SUN GIRL: My most dangerous weapon and my greatest concern, Deborah Morgna harnesses the power of the sun, but her real talent - and true love - is manipulating others. Disturbingly, she reminds me a great deal of Terra. Even more disturbingly, she reminds me of Rose. Hopefully neither of those assessments indicates things to come.

    What people think of Deakstroke.

    Marv Wolfman:

"The reason Slade is a good character is because he is a character," Wolfman asserts. "He has depth. He has morality, and that morality is not a typical one. I like characters who are heavily shaded in gray." -

"But that moral ambiguity doesn't make Deathstroke any less compelling. "I think Slade's ambiguous nature as well as not being sure what he'll do next makes him someone you want to follow," maintains Wolfman. "His relationship with his ex-wife, his friends and co-workers is more than just another 'Man on a Mission' comic. He's not out to stop the mob. He's not out to stop evil. You hire Slade, he does his job. Unfortunately, his own life gets in the middle of things and mucks it all up."

    George Pérez:

"The Terminator, my favourite of the TITANS' villains, because I really liked the idea of the strong, massive-yet-debonair older man. The fact that he's definitely a man in his fifties, but he's strong as an ox, very handsome, very polished - you can understand, again, a sexual appeal. I'm very big on sexual appeal of characters - particularly males. Since all the men are big and muscular, to show a bit of sexuality in them, that's a tough thing to do. The fact that the Titans have developed – we've gotten mail from women who think that Terminator is sexy as all hell. And that's great. That's the feeling I wanted."

    Jonathan Peterson, Titans/Deathstroke editor:

"Well, going back to the history lesson. Issue 70 came out and was a hit. And to Dick's credit, we actually greenlit DEATHSTROKE behind the scenes before the book even shipped. In fact, I recall going into Dick's office with only the first 12 pages and saying "This is what it is...this is what it'll look like... please let me do this." And Dick, who trusted my judgment, said "Okay. Looks good to me. Go for it."

"So since I was so high on Deathstroke and pushing him, and was looking to give him his own book, I then turned to Marv and said "Look, you're going to be writing this new monthly about the guy... clearly he's popular...so let's use him to a core degree in the Titans revamp story as well. In short, let's cram him down the readers throats to REALLY get the character out there again."

    Marv Wolfman on Slade’s development

When Terminator first appeared in New Teen Titans #2, he was a violent gun-toting mercenary, unafraid to kill. And when DC finally gave him his own title, Wolfman says the character wasn't softened up to make him more appealing or accessible. "In fact, I probably hardened him!" the writer says. "When you're working with other people, you work at their level. Since he had to accomplish the same goals-he wanted to find his son-be had to work with the Titans. Ho needed their abilities. On his own, he doesn't have to temper

Terminator isn't your typical comic-book hero, says Wolfman-in fact, he's not exactly a hero at all.

"I have always viewed him as pretty much what he is-a mercenary. He's not a superhero. He's the protagonist of our hook and has a strict moral code, which regular people would probably disagree with completely. If he's attacked, he kills. He's a mercenary, and he takes on jobs as a soldier of fortune. I guess that's legal. unless you get caught by the other side! That's the way he has made his money."

He achieved popularity with his first appearance. Nevertheless, it has taken several years for Deathstroke the series to begin. "It's strange, because when I created the character with George [Pérez) back in Titans #2, we knew we had something. Dick Giordano thought the character should have stood on his own; that's how strong he was. We had done several stories that indicated this was a powerful character and could probably get his own book. This eventually became [Titans editor) Jonathan Peterson's idea. We did the pilot in Titans #70, which was a way of reminding people who the Terminator was, since he hadn't appeared in years. Reaction was so good that we made a regular series out of it."

Although some have drawn comparisons between Terminator and Marvel's Punisher, the writer says there are few similarities.

"We got this an awful lot before the book came out," he observes. "Obviously, Punisher was in the '70s, and Terminator was created in 1980, but Terminator, in my mind, is very clearly a mercenary. Punisher is a mob-hunter. They have completely different reasons for existing, and it's essentially the difference between a soldier and a policeman. Granted, they're freelancers, but one goes after the mob, and the other takes on jobs for hire.

"From what I've read of The Punisher, Vigilante, which I did, was much closer, but when we did Vigilante, there was no Punisher comic book. The other difference is that the stories are not personal stories in The Punisher. All of the stories in Deathstroke are personal. They're about him, they're about the people he cares about; there's a love interest. To me, Slade Wilson is a vitally interesting character. He's more interesting than (his alter ego) Deathstroke, who's more of a hired gun. Slade Wilson's a real person. The character in The Punisher exists solely to be the Punisher-his sole purpose is to wipe out bad guys."

One problem Wolfman continually faces is writing a lead character who isn't really a nice guy. "I think Slade can be likable. Terminator isn't," he says. "Slade is certainly a social animal-that's another difference between him and the Punisher-I can't even remember the Punisher's real name (Frank Castle), even though I wrote one or two back in Spider-Man, when he still used mercy bullets. Slade can be a very social and sexual character. He's a person who has needs, desires and everything. On the other hand, Terminator is a mercenary. He can be a very likable person in a job that most of us would find repulsive."

Wolfman isn't sure why Terminator is so popular, but he says they knew the character was a success from the beginning. "Frankly, when we started him in 1980. we knew we had something with him. Readers have always liked the character. He has always gotten the best mail of the Titans. I used him very sparingly because 1 saw he was so strong that I didn't want to overuse him as a supporting character," Wolfman explains. "I saw him as too strong for the book; he would eclipse everybody else-and he has done just that! To brag a little bit, I think it was one of those times that we came up with a nearly perfect creation, and you can't plan those. This character just sang the moment he was created, and we all knew it.

    Appearances In Other Media

    Transformers G1

Cobra Commander appeared in the third season of Transformers Episode "Only Human". He appeared wearing a different version of his metal mask and wearing trench coat. Due to the setting of Transformers being in 2006 he seemed somewhat old due to his voice. He was a weapons dealer called Old Snake. He is approached by a crime lord named Victor Drath, who wishes to purchase synthoid technology (a material seen in the cartoon series). Old Snake transfers the sparks of Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Arcee and Springer into synthoid bodies, leaving their robotic shells for Victor Drath's use in criminal activities. Drath planned to then destroy the Autobots' now mindless robot bodies, but Old Snake dissuaded him, noting what excellent weapons they would make. Eventually, the Autobots managed to return to their original Cybertronian bodies and Victor Drath and his gang were arrested. However, Snake managed to escape capture. After watching Drath and his gang get hauled away, Old Snake began walking into the sunset. He said to himself that "they just don't make terrorists like they used to", and began shouting the Cobra battlecry to the heavens.
