@Nova`Prime`: Panther leaving Wakanda is "shoddy storytelling"
I'm not understanding how withholding knowledge is "Callous" happens in the real world all the time with big countries like the US and small countries like Haiti.

@darkcloakx: I liked Priest run though I found his Black Panther lacked a personality he was flat and not too personable. I enjoyed his portayal of Kasper Cole and his stint as the protagonist the most throughout that run.
I Enjoyed the Hudlin run and his integration of politics and interactions with the outside world. Execution of the Marriage of Storm to T'challa  was disappointing. Though his Black Panther vol.4 start before Maberry was an action packed tale with perfect pacing. Maberry did an ok job with his followup to hudlin and I loved the execution of doomwar and even it's ballsy ending. David Liss is doing a great street level take on the character though I find his interesting villains tend to lose depth at the end of his stories.

Hope that helps man!

@LightningTiger2190: Unfortunately the Panther god is dead so she's out of the picture for now :(  and his powers were not from her during doomwar those were simply magical enhancements from Zawavari. His power could return by simply ingesting the heart shaped hearb again though not to the degree he had in Doomwar.

@Kallarkz: I recommend Black Panther vol.2, Vol. 3, Vol.4 and Doomwar to get into the character
Black Panthers' Prey is a good book but suffered from the expostion explosion of the 90's there is ALLOT of Exposition!

The Big thing as a panther fan is to read and enjoy it yourself and NOT let the message board people taint your view of the source material. One man's garbage is anther's treasure.

@fodigg: I loved every moment  of it too. What most don't get is that the "animated series"
is simply a motion comic which landed on tv because Hudlin was working there. It wasn't animated by BET
@Osiris1428
I myself enjoyed Hudlin's run and never got any of that racist bigotry everyone else did...weird...
@Static Shock
How was it strange that Wakanda would have a cure for cancer and NOT share it with the rest of the world?
They are a self sustained none trading country for thousands of years. Everytime they have intercation with the outside world
its war and people trying to invade them! Why would I assist them? I'm not getting it!

@Augustus Freeman VI
@MrUnknown
@GalactaSurfer
Where has this thread been all my life?
I would totally LOVE to see more detail on Wakanda, it's everyday life and inner workings.
 I would also like to see a return to dealing with those tribes outside of the technologically
advanced capital of wakanda introduced way back when. The tribes from which the dora Milaje originate

I also agree that the foloowup or lack of dealing with the ramifications of Doomwar on the nation
was a bad move for those who invested in black panther vol.3 and 4. Klaws of the Panther tried but god it was awe full!

@Kallarkz
I agree Man without fear is fun But I miss Wakadna :(

P.S why Marvel has not continued the tales of wakanda by having a book featuring Storm and Shuri is beyond me!
We have two panthers now T'chala could do his vigilante thing while the Princess regEnt deals with rebuilding Wakanda! XD

I would def go see it though I would prefer a native African to play T'challa.
As you said Black comes in many shades!
