Favorite Smart-Ass Character

There are certain heroes and villains alike that all seem to have a witty remark or comeback just waiting on the tip of their tongue.

My overall favorite is Magneto.

This say's it all...

Who is your favorite?

Yeah!

Also whenever Psylocke decides to open her mouth it's usually something witty and sarcastic, her and Magneto's dialogue lately has been classic. I like Spidey's goofball wit, too.

In no particular order: Booster Gold, Iron Man, Magneto, Robin

Does Jackie Estacado count?

Doom: the king of condescending remarks.

Also Iron Man and Robin (Damian Wayne).

here's Con-John for the youngsters who wouldn't know him.

He's also a drunkard, a dishonest man and all his friends tend to go to hell (literally) early because he tends to use them to save the World:

Spider-man and Deadpool for obvious reasons:

But if this is all fiction then the most smartass character I can think of is Doctor Cox. That guy is on a whole other level of insults:

I gotta go with Alfred Penny as well. Dude has a sophisticated way of being a dick. lol. Made me step my game up. Clint Barton and Ultimate Wolverine. And I could read an entire book with just Spidey and Deadpool in it. I automatically have to buy whatever they are in together. I thought they were gonna call the the loony been while reading Suicide Kings in the comic shop. Deadpool: ''Hit-Monkey...He's a Hit-Man, who's a Monkey." Spidey: ''Yea right mutha%$cka!" lol (Spidey didn't say this but you could tell he wanted too) They should so give these two a book somthing like avenging spidey. You know just something fun to read, we don't need world shattering events every four days.

Deadpool is epic when written properly!

Posted by Guardiandevil83

@Strider92:Yes he is! I used to think no one could out do Spidey but as I became a man I put away childish things. Pete is still my fav and still cracks me up. But it's like comparing Sinbad to Eddie Murphy. While Spidey is the ''safe" funny and Wade is the Grown-Up after dark funny.

John Constantine

@The Stegman: Never read Hellblazer but i'm seriously tempted. Is it worth reading?

Posted by TheAnnihilator

Spider-Man, Human Torch, Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Alfred are the ones that come to mind first.

Posted by The Stegman
@Strider92: Yes! read it!

A lot of great choices people have picked so far. I concur wholeheartedly with Hawkeye, John Constantine, Emma Frost, Spider-Man, and Deadpool.

I would also like to add Iceman, he's one of the original smart asses. Wally West and Kyle Rainer did a great job of bringing that early 90's Generation X attitude to comics. Grace Choi from the Outsiders also gets some good cracks in. Honorable mention to Plastic Man, even though he's more often annoying than witty.

But I don't think anyone pulls it off quite like the Joker. When he is written properly there is literally no situation in which he won't find a wisecrack for.
