The death of Superman, when Lois hold him in her arms and crying. But when Supergirl died in the Crisis I had to go the bathroom and wash my face, that was so sad.

But in my country, Hungary, the first translated comics 1 ever read was Amazing Spider-man 249.

Yes, my friends know, but they (and my family) doesn't know how much money I spend for comics :) (Tooooo much) But my girlfriend and girl friends doesn't know. I'm living in Hungary, and here comics aren't as acceptable as in the USA.
