@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: I almost got her a Marvel Masterworks of Stan Lee Spiderman but she said the drawings and writing looked old =( I can't blame her but still no easy way of giving her basic Spidey stuff.
We saw The Amazing Spiderman the other day and she told me she wanted to read Spiderman now. I can't give her classic Stan Lee stuff because she'll get bored with it ( crazy, i know), Ultimate Spiderman is great but it isn't continuity or 616 universe stuff and she wants to read things relevant to the current Marvel U. She wants to read about MJ, Gwen and Peter relationships, the green goblin and the lizard, etc.
What would you recommend? She's into indie comics but not superhero stuff so i'm in trouble here, help!
@JonesDeini: I was kinda douchy I'm sorry about my last response didn't mean to be aggressive :S I'm also up for debate and that was kinda the purpose of my first comment. You should give Remender a chance though xD JK.
@JonesDeini: First of all: Relax. I really like this book and I just want to get folks into it by blindly rejecting anyone who doesn't like it. Why? Because I'm not being really serious about it, just wanted to generate some chatter. Yes I did use the word hater but don't go all "Literate Kanye" on me because of that. I did NOT call YOU a "hater", I was just posting up some fast-internet-forum-like comment to get some people on board with a book not only sales but critique have called "excellent". Call me a fanboy and keep showing off your "big words" dude. It's the internet, deal with it.
WTH with all the X-Force haters. Remender is doing a fantastic job doing some great characterization and killer plotlines for the arcs. Shut up and read "The Apocalypse Solution" again, you might understand by the second reading that this a true flagship Marvel gem.
The Riddler forgetting Batman's secret identity because he had amnesia or something after the whole Hush ordeal. Also Bats getting punched in da face by Hal Jordan. That was just dumb and unreal.
I think he can take on pretty much everyone (X-Men/Factor/Force wise) except mutants with a healing factor. He's a great tactician with some hand to hand combat training, optic blasts and years of experience. I think Apocalypse, Juggernaut or some one in tha league are the only ones that are out of his range (villains wise).
