Working on a massive George Perez checklist gallery really drops into perspective just how amazing the man's art really is.

Well, this hardly renders the DC back catalog useless. Remember that DC has done this before. In the 1950s Julius Schwartz oversaw a radical redesign and relaunch where we got a new Green Lantern, Atom, Hawkman, Flash, redesigned Superman, etc. I have a feeling that considering the talent this time around, post Flashpoint DC will be just fine. These guys are proven rockstars, the new DCU will rule.

@pikahyper: Ok, implemented the changes. Much better. Thank you. And you're right about the extra space, but I'm not sure there's anything I can do about it.

Hi everybody,
So I've talked a little about this to Pikahyper, and we agreed that the creator pages on The Vines are (how to put this politely...?) Ah yes, sub par. Part of this I think is that we just don't have a good style guide for Creator pages. Nor have I even seen a good template to work from. In response to this I've worked up a page for everybody to inspect. I'll take any suggestions anybody has, and if they're workable, I'll put them into the page and we'll go from there.

Thanks everybody,
Dan

The link to the test page is right here.

You people who are calling for the return of the Spider Clone need to go back, re-read those issues and remember how gawdawful the Spider Clone Saga really was. It was some of the worst writing Marvel has ever churned out...and we're talking about the company that came up with US1 and Dazzler. Spider-Man has already taken enough of a hit with Joe Quesada's imbecilic vendetta against Parker and Watson's marriage. We need to leave well enough alone... let it go.

Okay, this is totally my fault. I merely ask for a little slack because I'm still a rookie at this. We now have duplicate pages for the same publisher Cafe Digital and Cafe Digital Press. One needs to go. It doesn't really matter which one. I'll fill in the details on whichever entry is left standing. Sorry.

@pointybirds:  This sounds awfully familiar to me. Are you sure you're not thinking about Ambush Bug. I seem to recall there was an issue in his second mini series "Son of Ambush Bug" where he wore a bag over his head. The ragdoll in question would be Cheeks The Toy Wonder. I'll dig out the issues and get back to you with scans if I can.

Everything about this movie just screams awesome. This is going to be a great summer for comic book movies.

This thread seems to have stalled a bit and these are always a lot of fun, so let's see if I can renew some interest in it a little. My name is Dan and I have a degree in English from UNLV. I was in the Air Force for six years working on the Stealth Fighter project (back when it was still classified) and my first gig writing about comics was for Neon Galaxy which was a local Las Vegas fanzine. Since then I've written articles and stories on comics, rock criticism, movie reviews, and all things pop culture, for lots of magazines and newspapers in both digital and dead tree format, including: Sub Pop Records, Cemetery Dance magazine, SAVANT (which was a comics activism weekly web zine created by Matt Fraction), and I currently do some writing for Blogcritics.com. I'm a lifelong comics fan, mostly DC and a lot of indies, though I have a terrible sweet tooth for X-Men as well. Currently I live in Kalispell which is a little town in Northwest Montana (hey, it's home...even though my closest comics shop is 200 miles away) and I work as a Customer Service Manager for our local Wal-Mart. At 41 I have a feeling that I'm probably going to be one of the crusty old guys here.
