  • Possibly the greatest Green Lantern of them all, Hal has become a beacon of hope. He has slowly shown that no one is above redemption, given his actions as the Multiverse destroying Parallax and also as his great deeds as an officer in the Green Lantern Corps

  • Hank Henshaw has one wish: to die. This tragic villain and cybernetic doppleganger of Superman has proven himself to be a universal threat and all around madman. Yet through all his triumphs and failures, he has yet to gain his ultimate prize of true death.

  • Mad dictator or anti-hero. Those are the titles that have been bestowed on Black Adam. The black sheep of the Marvel family has always proven to be a great character with a bad temper(ask Psycho Pirate)

  • The most iconic female comic book character ever. She's proven to be a intellectual equal to the likes of Batman and Superman. She's shown that she can handle a leadership role, and she can kill if she needs ti (ask Max Lord)

  • Whether its Bruce or Dick sporting the cowl... Batman is and will always be a great character because he's always stood for the idea that you don't need superpowers to be a hero, just the smarts (billions of dollars of tech & gadgets can't hurt either).

  • Cold hearted and callus. the son of Mongul I has shown the same lust for dominance and violence. Whether hes equipped with the parasitic Black Mercy plant or Sinestro Corp Rings, Mongul has Proven to be a problem for even the most qualified superheroes(Superman, Hal Jordan, Batman etc.)

  • My personal favorite Flash, whether its clashing with the rogues or sacrificing himself for the multiverse, Barry Allen has always shown himself to be a representation of great hope.

  • How bad-@$$ could Hal Jordan be without Sinestro? Not very, since he first wielded the yellow ring i've been a fan of him.... The Magic Johnson to Hal's Larry Bird.

  • Born on a Monday,Cyrus Gold has made his name as a villain by hassling characters such as Alan Scott and Superman. A man-monster of unbridled, primal anger, Grundy has given the good guys trouble for years

  • The greatest hero you never heard of has proven to be just that. Repeatedly fixing the time-stream and being the ultimate hero in 52, saving the multiverse from the enhanced Mr. Mind.

  • 12 lbs of pure blood-napalm spewing, blue furred fury. Dex-Star or rage cage as hes known in some circles has only made a few appearances he has proven to be an intriguing character.

  • Admittedly, I became a fan of The Atom during the DC mega-event Blackest Night. Ray Palmer served as a beacon of compassion. He overcame the death of his girlfriend at the hands of Jean Loring, his ex-girlfriend.

  • Lady Styx is a villain who knows what she wants, ask Buddy Baker, Adam Strange, Starfire and Lobo, who had to flee this body snatcher halfway across the multiverse. Plus her resurrection near the end of 52 was bad-@$$.

  • Highly intelligent, stoic and at times flat out brutal, Captain Cold is one bad dude. Leading the Rogues in the ever-going campaign against the Flash Lenny Snart is a different brand of villain, he has a code. No drugs, no killing kids or women.

  • Brains and brawn, Bane aka "Bat-Breaker" has shown that he can be calculating, neurotic and brutal. Bane's run in the Secret Six has shown to be all those things but loving as well, becoming a father figure to Scandal Savage.

  • Sworn enemy of the Teen Titans and killer for hire, he's taken on the JLA and planted Terra in the Teen Titans to pull of a screw-job on the team.

  • First he founded the Justice League International then he turned Superman against Batman and Wonder Woman in effect forcing Diana to kill Lord, by twisting his neck. Now back form the grave, Max Lord has pulled off his greatest trick ever, making the world(save Captain Atom, Fire, Ice, Booster Gold) forget about him.

  • One step cooler than Aquaman, Buddy Baker has mostly gone unnoticed but has remained one of my favorite characters. Whether he's mentoring Firestorm or traveling through outerspace, Animal Man, has even tapped the powers of space bacteria.

  • She was broken by the death of Crispus Allen, and built into a stronger person by Vic Sage, and eventually, took over his mantle. Montoya in a dynamic and different type of chracter.

  • Barbara IS the DC universes version of a living wikipedia. Oracle's greatest power is her mind. The former Batgirl's career and my interest in the character increased after she was crippled by the Joker.

  • Whats not to like about Lex? He's arguably the DCU's most accomplished villain. He goes about his villainy under the guise of "doing the right thing" and always with his intelligence and his money.

  • The daughter of Alan Scott and former girlfriend of Kyle Rayner, Jade showed that even the Superhero community has cheaters. As much as people have disdain towards Jade for doing Kyle dirty.

  • One of the survivors of the Manhunter malfunction that laid waste to Sector 666 and one of the Five Inversions, Atrocitus not only harnesses the power of raw rage, but he also has shown that he feels other emotions( a lost love) and has even started to create constructs.

  • The coolest lightning based character, in my opinion, this memeber of the Outsiders has become a great character, through his trails.he has constantly showed a will that allows him to exceed his past limitations.

  • Surrogate father to Bruce Wayne and handler of the Outsiders, Alfred is a little more than your average butler. Alfred's been known to get down and directly and kick some butt from time to time.

  • One of the many members of the Bat-Family to feel the Joker's wrath, Jason Todd aka Robin II, made a comeback, for the worse. Not only is Jason on the wrong side of the Cowl, he's now wearing the original guise of his murder.

  • The Guardian of the Universe have always been ambassadors of Willpower,so when Scar became corrupted by anti-matter at the hands of the Ati-Monitor, it was a shock. Serving as as the match that sparked the Blackest Night, Scar proved to an amazing character.

  • Hero turned bad isn't the freshest idea ever, however Alpha One from The Mighty took it to a different level, whether it was through blanket threats or spying Alpha One tried to systematically destroy any and everyone who stood in his way.

  • Hes the battle rap champ of the DC universe/aside from breathing fire he's got you waiting for his newest verse/spitting dope freestyles about the chaos he loves/the Demon Etrigan aka Jason Blood

  • The best thing that ever happened to him was getting his arm taken by the Spectre, the second best thing that happened to him was blowing out his own brain and the third best thing that happened to him was licking Bruce Wayne's supposed Skull.

  • A little green man, he is not. J'onn J'onz has a taste for Oreo cookies and a dream of returning his now barren planet to its former glory. With strength on-par with Superman and a vague understanding of humanity, MM makes on helluva character.

  • Ganthet has never been a Guardian to just go with the flow, he left the Green Lantern front office and became a Guardian for teh Blue Lantern Corp, he was pivotal in the Backest Night and even decided to become a Green Lantern.

  • Ralph Dibny was forced to undergo more adversity than any man should have to endure. His wife Sue was raped by Dr.Light, she was later killed by Ray Palmer's ex girlfriend, Jean Loring. He spent the better part of 52 weeks literally going through Hell to bring her back. He has also shown to have near Batman level deductive skills
