So, big surprise for us, or at the very least me, this issue of Ultimate Spider-man, but Ultimate Layla Miller, thought dead at the end of the Ultimate Doomsday trilogy, is ALIVE!!

Ah man, seeing her again was just great, and such a vastly different take on Layla is just a breath of fresh air for me. Cause honestly Reg U Layla is getting just a bit stale for me. I dunno, she just doesn't do anything for me anymore.

But Ultimate Layla, something about her I love, I mean for one, she's evil, there's something about her being evil this U that interests me. But most of all, for me anyway, is, well, Layla was perfect already, or she used to be anyway, but this Layla, Ultimate Layla, Has Freckles. You heard me right, I just love that, lol. Silly of me yes, but I can't help it.

Oh, and of note, Layla is still working with Samuel Sterns, and that glasses wearing guy with the red hair from Ultimate Doomsday, but now she's got a fourth college, who I just love the addition of, Nathanial Essex. That's right, Mr Sinister is working with Layla!

Am I the only one who loves Harley psycho analyzing Waller? I dunno, this is one of those things that really makes me love new 52 Harley.

So, just a quick question, which of the two major Sue Storms do you prefer?

The Regular 616 Sue Storm?

Or the Ultimate U 1610 Sue Storm?

Personally for me, I prefer Ultimate Sue Storm, Ultimate Enemy really made me fall in love with her, especially the whole confession when Ben was out in a coma about how she doesn't even like herself so much. I dunno, something about that confession really made me like her.

Sadly she's really not getting good screen time since. They really need to make a new series for her and Ben in the Ultimate U. Hell, I don't even think we've seen Ben since Ultimate Enemy.

@bigtewell: While I agree about Ultimatum sucking, obviously you never read the Ultimate Enemy trilogy, cause oh my god, if there is one crossover story in the world of comics that is good, it's that one.

It's most of all a Fantastic Four disbanding story in a sense, but oh my god it's so god, Sue and Ben, and then what happens with Reed. I still can't get over that, it just came out of no where and was like wow, never thought they'd do that.

Ok, so, I'm kinda noticing lately that the people behind the Regular Marvel books seem to be doing everything they can to piss fans off. Two most hurtful to me being that horridness of the Superior Spider-man, especially issue 9.

And then the existence of Avengers Arena as a whole. I mean I'm sorry, I know that book has fans, but the only reason Marvel made that series was to pointlessly kill off teenage heroes they don't want to be bothered with anymore. Their fan bases be damned.

Well, I actually said these same things quite awhile back regarding the Ultimate Universe, but honestly, right now, right here, I'm really considering abandoning the reg Marvel for the Ultimate U. Reg Marvel's just pissing me off far to much right now. And Ultimate Spider-man is pretty good, so who knows, maybe the rest is too. I'm gonna try anyway.

Y'know. It's times like this, when I see and even hear Injustice Raven, that I wonder what all the bitching about New 52 Raven is all about. She's perfectly lovely compared to Injustice Raven.

I dunno, I liked Raven this issue. This panel certainly helped.

And I may be alone in this, but I actually prefer new 52 Raven over the old Raven. I dunno, she just seems tougher a character. I mean, maybe we're not seeing all of her yet, but old Raven always seemed so... Self deprecating.

I dunno, I don't have much old Raven experience from earlier then the New Titans series, so maybe I don't know the lot of her.

I dunno, agree to disagree I guess. I'm honestly noticing I'm liking quite a few New 52 characters better then their Pre 52 counterparts while others don't. I'm weird like that I guess.

Though really, can we all put aside our New 52 Raven hate and focus it all on the worse evil. Injustice Raven. That version is a hundred times worse then the New 52 version, that face, that voice, that story, ugh. I mean c'mon, when you think about it, more people will be exposed to Injustice Raven then New 52 Raven when you consider all the Gamers and Mortal Kombat fans who might never touch a comic'll be exposed to her and think that's the normal.

That's what we have to fight against. I mean sure she may be different. But at least she's not that.

Oh and on the subject of her first spoken line, personally I don't see that as a being evil thing, I see it as a she's sickened by all of Trigon's monster minions. Though maybe that can be considered evil, who knows. It just sounds to me like she's sickened by that thing approaching her.
