Agreed. Doom may have good magic and all that jazz, but i don't think it is on a level where it can stop a blood-lusted Superman. if it was the real Destroyer Armor, then that could be an entirely different story, but against that imitation Armor Doom was walking around in? no way.

Does anyone know how much the Midgard Serpent actually weighs? has it ever been stated? if it really is as large as the earth, it must be at a bare minimum 1000 tons right?

GSP beats Jake Shields by submission.
As much as i would like to see another Canadian go home with gold, I think Jose Aldo will beat Mark Hominick by tko.
And again, as much as i would love to see Randy Couture make us all look like fools for doubting him as he has so many times in the past, i see Lyoto Machida winning this by ko or tko. Whether he wins or loses Couture has said this is his last fight and he will be retiring regardless of the outcome.

Yeah, he's lost his damn mind. guy gets paid $2 million an episode, and he's still whining for more. what's even more funny is he actually thinks they are going to bring him back and give into his demands for $3 million/ep. if you have not gone to youtube to watch his internet rants, i highly advise you to do so, they are pathetically hilarious. the ego on this idiot is just unbelievable.

Anybody have any predictions on UFC129 in Toronto for the GSP vs. Shields fight, and Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida? I predict GSP will win this fight by submission. he has taken some flak for not being able to finish his fights, despite the fact that he dominated all of them, so i think he will be hungry to go out and show people why he is the #2 pound for pound best fighter on the planet. I don't know what to say about Couture vs. Machida. obviously Machida is the hands down favorite, but Couture has been making people feel like idiots for years for doubting him, although in this case i think he needs a miracle.

" Fight card so far of UFC: Rio

I want Silva vs Belfort rematch but That's not going to happen.

Also Royce Gracie might fight in the card, rumored to fight Matt Hughes in a rematch. Dan Severn and Art Jimmerson also want rematches against Gracies.

Yushin Okami got the title fight? i wonder if GSP beats Shields he will still move up to 185 for a super fight with Silva. now that UFC has bought Strikeforce, i would rather see a super fight between GSP and Nick Diaz. and if Shogun can come in to fight Griffen with the same conditioning he had prior to his injury and subsequent loss to J.B. Jones, i think he will have a good chance of beating Griffen and making one last run for another title fight.

I think Thanos can handle Current Doomsday, too.

"
100% agree. considering Thanos' power levels have just sky-rocketed, and he seems to be beyond killing, he could solo this. "
When did they just "Sky-rocket"? If you are talking about TI Thanos regenerated from a Skeliton, Doomsday recently did something similar against Cyborg Superman. They are both "beyond killing" from what was shown so far. No one on team 2 is going to "solo". "
That's your opinion. doesn't make it right. and spare me your typical condescending diatribe. it's "boring".  back to the matter, i did not notice that immortality is off in this battle, so neither Doomsday nor Thanos is beyond killing. that said i think it is well within the realm of possibility that Thanos could solo Doomsday at least once.
"

Bitter much? I’m not sure why you got so offended or how what I said was offensive in any way, especially to call it “ condescending diatribe”. You said that “Thanos power Just sky-rocketed”, I asked you when and how, maybe try to be a little more specific when you post a reason of someone winning a battle and it won’t get questioned. You also said that he is “beyond killing”, I just showed you that Doomsday was as well and that he also has a very similar feat in a recent showing, In addition in that showing he never died it was more instantaneous regeneration after he was taken apart all on the same panel.

If you going to try and prove a point back up what you say instead of getting offended when someone questions it. You might as well have said “Thanos wins because I’m a Thanos fanboy”, it would have explained your intention in this thread better and I would have never replied to it.

"
I have no problem with anyone who disagrees with my opinion. i just know when someone is trying to belittle some else's opinion as opposed to respectfully pointing out why they think the person is wrong. everytime Thanos dies he seems to come back even more powerful than he was previously, whether it be his own doing or M.D. giving him a boost. and from what i understand, a "fanboy" is someone who thinks that a character is more powerful than they actually are, or refuse to listen to reason or anyone else's opinion even if they are wrong, and think that(for example) their character could stomp the Living Tribunal or something ridiculous along that line, which is not the case. Thanos has slugged it out with Champion, survived assaults from the Omega, a being who apparently is twice as powerful as Galactus, and could have crushed Lord Marv-ell if he so wished to imo. i know you can't always take a characters wiki page as actual truths, but it does seem to support the fact that Thanos is currently under guys like Galactus and the Celestials ect. and i think his recent showings support that.

And don't mistake "offended" for "pointing out the obvious". i could care less if you disagree with me. i just think its funny the way you are trying to bait me. you have tried to do so before in other threads, and you know you have. regardless, i now explained my intention. if you want to run your mouth and call me a "fan boy" or try to get the last word in, go ahead, i could care less.
"

I was not trying to “bait” you in any way, sorry if you took it that way. The last I’ve read of Thanos was the TI, in that series he showed nothing to suggest that he could put down current Doomsday. You said he just recently had a huge power increase, I was asking when just I case I missed something. I called you a “fanboy” from that absurd response you posted towards me, instead of addressing a question you decided to throw insults. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion which I respect, insulting someone for that opinion is not the way to go.

"
Well if i mistook what you where asking as sarcasm then i will be the first to apologize for that. it just seemed like your response to my initial post was an attempt to insult or imply that i had no idea what i was talking about. again, if that was not actually the case, i offer my apologizes for being wrong. not to be a broken record, but i based my opinion on the fact that during T.I. he appeared to be more powerful than he was previously, especially after he showed that he could have crushed or even killed Lord Mar-Vell if he wanted to, compounded by the fact that his CV page states "after his resurrection as the avatar of death, Thanos' powers have increased to an unknown level, but it was a massive upgrade from his previous form". so it seemed to support what i had already noticed about Thanos during the T.I.

the funny thing is, is that i am also a fan of Doomsday. i have been following reign of Doomsday with interest(despite the different writers) and absolutely he also seems to have evolved to much level of power. I'm just doubtful that he has reached Thanos' power set. close maybe, but not quite. If he shows that he has the ability to copy virtually anyone's powers, regardless of how powerful they are, then you could be right, Thanos may not be able to solo Doomsday. but so far, i have not seen Doomsday take on someone of that power set.

That pretty much shut me up;) How the hell did Darkseid do that?
"

Darkseid didn't "do" anything, he was saved by the Presence. The scans make that pretty clear. Spectre could not kill Darkseid because his boss would not allow him to kill Darkseid, not because Darkseid is inherently unkillable. The catch is apparently whoever kills Darkseid is obligated to rule Apokolips in his place, and clearly, the Presence felt that making the Spirit of Vengeance the Lord of Apokolips would be a bad idea, or at least infringe on the duties he already has.
"
While i have a fairly decent knowledge of the DC universe, i admit i am not as knowledgeable of DC's cosmic powerhouses, especially the Presence that's why i was confused even after seeing the scans.
