Didn't this already happen with the Elite? The league split into to teams.

DC needs to market their characters on other mediums like cartoons and videogames. IE In the 90's Marvel had the x-men cartoon and the x-men videogames both were very successful. Then came the success of all the capcom vs marvel series, to include streetfighter vs x-men. For a lot a kids who grew up in the 90's, this was our first introduction to comicbooks.

I think the difference is Marvel focuses more on minor character and tries to give them a compelling history and back story. Where as in DC if you're not the big two (batman & superman), the dont put that much effort into it. Things have changed recently in DC though.

Im not sure if this a credible source but the wiki page on DC cosmic entities list a being "One above everything" as an entity equal to TOAA. It seems that according to the various posts that marvel wins because of toaa and that DC doesnt have his equal. But from this list it seems DC has plenty of beings that could match marvel.

Marvel has many telepaths like Xavier or Moondragon. Many telepaths does DC have?

I disagree, just because you're considered "overpowered" doesn't mean they cannot be interesting and entertaining. It depends on the writer's to craft a compelling story. Besides Marvel has overpowered characters to!

The thing is Dr. Doom never takes on a fight without knowing his opponent, he'll eventually find a way to subdue Superman!
