Whiskey Media sites Homepage not displaying “Logged In” status in Mac OS Snow Leopard vers. 10.6.8 Safari vers. 5.1.2

When going to the homepage of some Whiskey Media sites, i.e. Comic Vine, my login is not displaying in the Safari browser--thus showing adds and the bonus menu bar at the bottom of the browser. But when I click through other pages within the site, I appear to be logged in as I normally would be, without ads and such.
